  1. We beat him at Arky State two years ago.
  2. Auburn has one loss. A loss factors big in the BCS points system. What a great ending to the game. LOVED watching 'bama lose.
  3. Yep. I was at Home Depot the other day and happened to be wearing a UNL sweatshirt. The associate asked me if I was a Husker and I answered, "yes." The next words out of his mouth were about Pelini and what a yeller he was. I just nodded. The guy turned out to be Oregon's kicker from the late 60's.
  4. I think he knows that he is gone, it is just a hunch. Either way our AD needs to announce the decision this weekend so we can move on one way or the other. They don't have the excuse of not commenting during the season anymore. By the way go 49ers! I love the signature picture. Isn't this how we got Callahan? Can't really announce anything until they find a replacement for Pelini. IMO people need to stop being scared of what happened in 2003. We don't have the same people involved and the university can do much better than Bo. Bill must be laughing his ass off in Dallas right about now. I totally disagree. The good coaches have jobs right now. Kicking Bo to the curb without a suitable replacement in place is a mistake. Then again, after today's display, maybe getting UNO's old coach would be an improvement.
  5. Yea let's hire on OC that has seen his once vaunted off disappear in the last few weeks. Oregon's D has failed them. The O has continued to score except for the Stanford game.
  6. Peter Gammons had a stroke a few years ago and hasn't been the same since. Gammons had to apologize for a very stupid statement about A-Rod a few weeks ago. He compared A-Rod to the Boston Marathon bombers. I'd take anything he has to say with a huge grain of salt. Maybe even a salt lick.
  7. Recruiting? One of the guys there today is a 2 star corner from a JC and is choosing between UNL and some crappy small school. Not exactly impressive.

  9. Yeah, me. it was crap call. Come on though, Gilmore had a good point, how are you going to expect your team to have self control of your coach has none, looks sooooo bad on national tv too No it doesn't. Plenty of coaches do this. I prefer to see BO fired up about the game rather than just going through the motions. Really? When was the last time you saw a coach get a 15 yard penalty? It's been years since I've seen or heard of it.
  10. I would have smiled, patted him on the shoulder, "you want to try that again" "We can't make mistakes like that and expect to beat a team like Iowa." If Bo can't spit out cliches on command, it not surprising he can't run a big boy football program.
  11. For many of our younger fans (me included) who weren't around for the Oklahoma games, Colorado/Missouri were the only rivals we knew. So you guys that got to experience the OU games saying that Colorado was forced upon you after Oklahoma bailed and it was never a true rivalry game, it may feel like that to you, but not everyone. Just an FYI, not trying to be a smartass or anything, but Oklahoma didn't bail on the rivalry. Texass didn't allow it to continue when the Big 12 started so they could fabricate that thier rivalry was bigger with OU. Before the Big 12 started it was just a nice OOC game that OU usually dominated, but it never meant anything until Texass was allowed to join and take over the conference due to thier $$$$$. This is totally wrong. OU chose to keep their rivalry with Texas for recruiting purposes. They chose to dump the rivalry with DONU.
  12. Still not a valid excuse with this schedule as it falls on him to have adequate depth too. If we did not have the 5 fumble performance by the Freshman, we are 9-2. Is that good enough for you? If our defense would have emerged just a little sooner at Minnesota we could be 10-1. So Afhusker, yes, let's throw out the baby with the bath water... Lots of ifs. If Penn State's kicker can make an extra point..... If Wyoming made a few more plays or had a few more minutes.....If we still had Ohio State and Wisconsin on the schedule,...
  13. When was the last time Nebraska finished in the Top 15 let alone were a perennial top 15 team? 2001?
  14. But wrong. How about the year that Ingram won it? You knock Crouch all the time and I don't understand why. The guy was one of the all-time greats. Too damn bad he had so many issues with his throwing shoulder. I don't know if he's wrong. I've seen a lot of talking heads say Crouch is the weakest modern Heisman winner. I hate hearing it, but his stats aren't eye popping.
  15. If Martinez has had such a terrible time here, I wonder why Drake signed here?
  16. Oregon didn't say they didn't want to play in the Rose Bowl. DuhAnthony said that. But what he meant was he wanted to play for the national title and was disappointed in losing to Stanford. Everything else reported has been blown out of proportion. As for today's game, I watched it. Arizona came out ready to roll. Their QB was hot and made some big plays. They came to win and took the win. The Ducks didn't hand it to them.
  17. Really? I live in Oregon and read the comments from Oregon fans online. I promise you their fans are screaming about choking today and some are calling for the heads of Frost and Helfrich.
  18. Frost having a rough day by the messages from my Oregon buddies I'm watching that game too. Arizona is playing lights out.
  19. with a lot less experience... That doesn't make any sense. They're not the same person. Bo has made mistakes, especially when picking his staff, that nobody should ever make. You don't hire your buddies or your brothers when they're not qualified. Bo also hasn't improved one iota in those six years. Stupid penalties. Turnovers. Bad game plans. Bad recruiting classes. Bad losses. Bad wins. Time to shake his hand and wish him luck at his next destination. I'll even put on my Big Red lipstick and kiss his ass out of town. Scott may or may not be the answer. I don't know. I don't know him. I'd take him if he answers questions the way I'd want him to if I were Eichort. A young, energetic coach with new ideas may be exactly what our program needs. It may also need an older guy with a steady hand and a well known, winning background. That's why there's an interview process.
  20. Ya, if Bo goes 9-3 and you want to make a move you better have gone through channels and made damn sure you can bring home a bigtime hire. You don't can him to take a flyer on Scott Frost. Folks have thought he could be our Kingsbury. Kingsbury was more qualified than Frost and all he's proven is that he can beat a series of bad teams then lose to a series of good teams. How, exactly, is Kingsbury more qualified than Frost?
