  1. Our starting 4 may be a small step back, but we'll also have a better rotation especially if we can get some DT presence from a certain JUCO coming in.
  2. Like most players in classes, the faculty is expected / does give them quite a bit of leeway in completion of assignments. I can guarantee that no professor is honestly going to look Suh in the eye and say, Sorry big man.. you're late getting your S*** in! Suh would then make them cry.. sort of like another quarterback from Texas I know of ;-) I know there a professors that would though. Some of them are just plain dicks. And they think they are superior to everyone else His guaranteed money off of his NFL contract is more than I will make in a lifetime. If I were him I wouldn't care much.
  3. I think they have some faith in Ash, Qvale, Sirles and Coffey if they aren't hitting the OL hard right now recruiting
  4. We have Andrew Rodriguez coming in and Brent Q'Vale should be back. We'll have some decent players on the line for the next few year boys.
  5. that is the standard argument, and one i usually support, but i don't think it applies to this year's TCU team (or last year's utah team). they've got real talent and good coaching. if someone (hopefully NU) can knock off texas, i hope to see TCU show they belong in the title game. boise state's got some talent as well, but i don't think they'd survive a real schedule undefeated. If you manhandle a solid Alabama team, you would roll through the majority of the Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-10, Big East or SEC schedule

  7. Div. I offers, no. However, he did have other offers from lower teir schools. I'll never understand why people assume that players would walk on @ NU rather than get their school paid for. Honestly, I'd love to play for NU, but given the choice between going to school for free and going to NU I'd get my school paid for. Has it occured to anybody that maybe his parent's don't/won't pay for his schooling? My parents, even if they made enough money to pay in full, would not have paid for all of my schooling. It comes down to the fact that if I pay for it, it means more. There are alot of idiosyncrasies in this that I think people aren't considering. Also, like I mentioned before, Mike Huff had no other D1 offers, and he turned out ok. The coaches probably have more info on Cotton than any other kid and know his abilities, upside, etc.. I honestly don't think that the coaches would offer a scholarship in the name of nepotism because I think they know better. When you only have 85 scholarships, you don't give one to a coach's kid if he doesn't deserve it. I swear, some people must think that our coaches are complete idiots. Come on now boys, do we look like Colorado to you?
  8. Wisconsin hasn't taken a decent Rb in this class and this guy fits their mold. I see him going that way if he's making comments like this. They always replenish their stable, and feature the running back more than pretty much any team on the planet year in year out. I can see someone like this being the rotation with Montee Ball in the future.
  9. I'd settle for that Nebraska O-lineman transferring if he has proven any good
  10. I lived on a street between 22nd and 23rd for a while called Village Ave. Many people came there and either parked on the street parking in the neighborhood or paid at the Malone Center (lots of space). It's an 8 minute walk or so but it's either free or goes to a good cause. Pete is the African American man usually there with some HS kids selling the spots at Malone, he works for Leadership Lincoln.
  11. ...and will most likely suck in the NFL cuz of the curse that is imposed on it's winner The curse definitely did NOT affect the only defensive player to win it, and Suh plays defense.
  12. Wow, the polls this week are god awful. Iowa moves up to 12th after suffering during a game against stAte. Oklahoma stays above us with two awful wins and worse losses than we do. Boise moves down below Va Tech who struggles with a mediocre Duke Squad. Cincinnati moves up when clearly overrated. 14. Does anyone else agree, he played like a stud during that game? I mean hell, he had tight cover on their receivers pretty much all game. He also ran some kids down who broke tackles from other players. He nearly had an interception there near the end to seal the deal. Kid played pretty lights out and even nearly disrupted the game-winning throw. I can't blame him for that, his guy had too much time to get that moment of freedom, and Prince still caught up to him and nearly knocked it loose.
  15. You probably run Verizon. I believe their ISP allows for access, but otherwise you used to be boned. Not sure which ISPs are onboard anymore. As for me, no dice without getting an account.
  16. Yes, I'm located in Eastern Europe. The charge for European subscribers is 15 Euro (roughly 20 dollars) per month or 99 Euro for the Basketball and Football seasons. The streams are decent, not sure if they come in HD since my Internet does not seem to stream well enough for anything better than what I get. Hey, it's football. SkyTV and other options over here are ridiculously expensive and I could not get detailed information on whether they would actually carry the NCAA games I wanted. When you go to ESPN360.com it should port you to your regional equivilant through an auto-forward. With the increase in policing of P2P copyright infringement I figured 60 bucks for the football season was worth not worrying about it and assuring myself of a feed for any good games. Plus I get to watch any other games that I want on-demand (like USC-OSU and GT-MIA). Also, they lovingly don't show scores on the site so you aren't spoiled if you watch it in the morning if it is a game that starts at 2am. I'm also wary of installing anything off some of the feed sites that you find on Google and don't know anyone who is in a similar situation to assure me of the quality of the product I am looking at.

  18. The more legal version would be to plug the 20 dollars into getting a monthly ESPN360 Subscription like I did. I can watch them live or on demand so I get to watch as much football over the weekend as I want. Also allows you to watch the game in the morning if it's on while you are asleep.
  19. We're two decommits short of an amazing class. We will pull in bigger fish before it's all said and done, especially if we can run up Oklahoma.
  20. Lets be serious, Missouri has a very good possibility of leapfrogging us. BYU will also pass us, we might pass Oregon and Iowa but that leaves us even. If we move up it is because we pass a Georgia squad which really is overranked. Notre Dame will get a bump, for sure. The quarterback play by Notre Dame and Missouri is why they will move on up.
  21. Woodhead could have a better NFL career than Marlon Lucky, we could do worse than having a look-a-like
  22. I think they need to implement a 2-QB backfield at some point when we go up against the heavy hitters. Both of them are good on their feet and could give us a pretty potent variety. Depending on the team mentality, I could see a more even split of playing time working well for us, keeping our boys fresh.
  23. I suppose that is... better news?
  24. I tried to read all of this thread, I really did...
