  1. Do you have photos? I would be very interested in seeing such a phenom. Midgets (opps, sorry Little people) rule. I don't, but I'll ask my buddies if they have any.
  2. but switch Gilleylen and Kinnie. Nah, I think he's got it right. X- Paul Brooks Cooper Z-Holt Gilleylen Osborne Y-Kinnie Henry The "Y" spot are the TE's in this offense so unless Kinnie and Henry have moved to TE there's no way they'll be in those positions. Under Tom Osborne the WR's were SE = split end, FL = flanker and TE = (obviously) tight end. Under the former head coach, and now Shawn Watson, the SE = X, Y = TE and FL = Z. Beat me to it again, Jen! Well thank you wikiped.......I mean Jen and In the deed. I'm sure the rest of the board was super confused by what I meant. It's not as if "Y" is a commonly used vernacular for the slot receiver in most offenses. Man, who sh#t in your cornflakes?

  4. Isn't that Paul's job? I haven't heard who's returning punts, but I would think Paul would. He has the most experience. Rex Burkhead, hopefully!
  5. Wow, there's 5 minutes of my life I can never have back.
  6. Huh? An average back behind an outstanding line looks like an average back. An outstanding back behind an average line looks like an outstanding back. Yes, a steady O line is a big part of any running game, but to say that because you have a good line a coach can put anyone with cleats on back there and get the same results as his number one guy is just wrong. There is this team in the NFL called the Denver Broncos under Shanahan, you should look up some of their RB that no one had heard of that ran for 1000 yards b/c they had the best OL in football. The OL is absolutely the most important thing, hands down. You can be as great as you want, if there aren't any holes to run through what the hell are you going to do?
  7. LOL A pep rally upsets you THIS much? YES!! Well....when I see a burning N, it's like seeing a burning cross or American Flag. I guess this is where you will tell me I need to get a life because in Nebraska this is all we have. So then i guess this would REALLY upset you? GO OWLS! Ill never rag on ANYONE for passion for thier team. I only wish FAU had a ton of FANS with that attitude. Actually, that is pretty freaking sweet man. That is a cool Husker pic now, haha!
  8. don't see myself dropping $120 for the games this year.... I'm sorry guys, not trying to rub it in... I know how lucky I am to have season tickets, let alone being able to go to all the games. You will be there in spirit!! Heck, you can probably scoop some tix after kickoff if you dont mind missing the opening ceremonies. Not what we meant, I'm sure.... I actually had season tickets for 4 years (not student, didn't attend UNL) but gave them up last year. Just don't have time. When a ticket is about the same price for the pay-per-view, why wouldn't you just go to Lincoln if you can drive it easily?
  9. I have a standing rule not to bet on or against the Huskers, Tar Heel Basketball, or the Green Bay Packers. Too much emotion involved, besides I don't want to have to root against success for my teams.
  10. Cy, you crazy Iowan, you never cease to amaze me man!
  11. Click above on HuskerNation.com and see if they have a copy for you, and support our board while you're at it!!! Thanks

  13. I'm not buying into the Niles Paul hype at all. I think that by mid-season Kinnie, Bell and either Marlowe or Cooper will be the "starters," and by starters I mean the guys who get the vast majority of the snaps. What is it you aren't buying about the hype? You believe the hype about Zac Lee, a guy we've never seen play a meaningful snap yet you don't believe that an underclassmen that played well in his role and returned kicks and punts (one for a frickin' TD) could improve after game experience? And this hype is coming from the same coaches about both players. How can you believe the source on one guy and not on the other? No offense, I guess I just don't get the thought process on that one.................
  14. He freaked me out at the Gator Bowl. Get rid of that thing!!! I bet Herbie would put the match to him!!!! we need that as a smilie....Herbie burning Lil' Red Anybody want to take that one on?
  15. It's possible. The first game of the season is against Alabama, and Alabama still has a fairly talented football team. If VaTech can beat Alabama, then they very well could be pushing the limits of top 10. Either way, they will be ranked when we travel down there, and a victory against any ranked team looks good for us. Since they are ranked #7 in both polls, if they beat Alabama I would put Virginia Tech probably in the top 5.
  16. What the hell is wrong with being afraid of clowns? I always have been, that and midgets.... The Wizard of Oz is a horror film to me! You wouldn't believe what showed up at my bachelor party....midget stripper dressed up like a clown and they tied me to a chair. I didn't think it was funny at all. 100% agree Nothing wrong having fears... I just wondered if there is some associative reaction to clowns that could be attributed to the fears people have of Lil Red. Personally, I think its hilarious that clowns scare people... ever been to Myster Manor in Omaha... now that guy is a scary clown!! Yes I have, and that guy almost got punched in the f'ing' face, man. I can't go to Haunted Houses when I drink because if a guy scares me my reaction is to just deck that a-hole for it. Besides, I get sick of my wife hanging on to me the whole freaking time...let me the f#*k go, go with the clown, he won't bite.....hard!!

  18. Yes, yes you do have to admire the fans of the 'c$%ks

  20. He's definitely creepy. To me though, any mascot that mainly looks like a person and the expression never changes freaks me out. Especially the Wake Forest Demon Deacon, man if I turned around and saw that thing looking at me, I'd have to change my shorts. Yeah, Demon Deacon is the creepiest mascot out there (followed closely by the UC Santa Cruz banana slugs). At the Wake Forest game in 2007 I was hoping Demon Deacon would get in a mascot bitch-fight with Lil Red. It would be like watching a cage match at a leprosy colony. Creepy. Coffee spewer, that one sir!!!
  21. I'm telling you, Asante was not the problem last year or the year before. That is why he was honored in All-B12 voting by coaches those two years. LB play in '07 and FS play (Thenarse and O'Hanlon) along with a new system were the problems last year. I broke this down in depth before and I am not going to do it again. LA has been one of the best players on this defense for two seasons. If we could get Thenarse to keep his assignments or make O'Hanlon faster we would be in business. Eric Hagg will be the starting FS this year at some point.
