I'm probably getting too excited but I need this football talk in life right now. We have 2 recruits so far for 2010....both 4 stars and in rivals 250 (AR is in Top 100). What are your thoughts on this year being a "coming out party" for Husker recruiting? I think another strong season from our boys will make us an absolute staple in recruiting again. I can't wait!

Completely separate from my question above but..... In an article written about Ronald Powell (2010 - ATH) on rivals there were some good things said about Eric Martin. Eric came from the same school as Ronald and the head coach was interviewed about the recruiting process. Pete Duffy (HC) said that of the 25 D-1 talents to come through his school Eric Martin and Tyron Smith (5 star - 2008 - USC) are the best. Pretty cool that we were able to come in and steal Eric. We probably have a good relationship with Pete Duffy and I wouldn't be surprised if we have a shot with Ronald Powell....especially with the new emphasis on California as a recruiting source.

What are the high marks/praise given to Eric per the teaser on rivals?

Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. He says he loved his visit to KU this weekend....

IMO, Bo should at least talk to the kid to see where he stands. I agree that our RB class is pretty good. Personally, I am as excited for Rex Burkhead than I am for Cody Green and Chris Williams. That being said, you can't let a talent like Oku just sit in Lincoln and not talk to him. The kid is a stud, his videos show ridiculous speed and vision. Talk to the kid, if he expresses any drama crap to Bo then say goodbye and good luck.

At the game in the West stadium. I've never seen Memorial Stadium go so crazy. When Henry made that kick I picked up some young kid in front of me and started shaking him...weird I know. I saw 75 year old people falling and over hugging randoms. One of the most fun experiences of my life....

I seem to remember an article saying Oku committed to Tenn after he started dating a girl he met during his visit. Funny how things work out....oh and the report is that he did meet the girl during his NU visit.

What do you think is the biggest need in our 2010 recruiting class? In my opinion, I'd like to see some real good talent come in on the D-Line. I also think we've got some big holes at WR. What's your opinion?

What's the new teaser on rivals all about? Set to Sign? Considering a visit to Lincoln or sticking with Tech?

All along this coaching staff has been asking guys who want to commit on their visits if they are REALLY sure before they'll accept the commitment. So perhaps Martin wanted to commit, but Bo told him to think it over for a couple of days. I hope so too He is set to announce next Sunday or Monday following the ASU visit....

What an idiot...don't come play for the best defensive mind in the country, go play for a d-coordinator in his 2nd year of experience. Good luck....see you in the pros, right??
