Either one of those hires would likely have been “it” for me as a fan. Especially Bert. Thank GOD we dodged that bullet. I’d say it all turned out ok in the end, after some surface wounds were sustained.

Maybe I’m dense, but what is this “cutting” thing? Thought scholarship guys were guaranteed 4 years. I could see strongly encouraging guys to move on, but cutting?

I peeked in on their spring game yesterday to see how “Nebraska NW” was doing. If he went there to be the starter, it may not happen this year. The guy currently ahead of him was granted a 6th year of eligibility. I didn’t see/hear anything about our other transfers, other than being mentioned a lot outside of any actual game action.

I was excited about that guy when he came in - what’s the story with him?

You’re right - we really should charge them a consulting fee while we’re at it.

Definitely not nit picking - it’s definitely a concern. I heard or read somewhere it was happening in practice, too. Hoping that is a point they make during summer drills to get that cleaned up before fall.

The game itself was kind of a snooze fest, and I know I’m not alone with that sentiment. It was very basic, as always, but many top line players were out with (mostly) minor injuries or other issues. It was nice to see some of the other guys, too, and some of the younger/less experienced guys did well for themselves, but when the RB corps consists mostly of walk ons, and no JD/MoWa/Robinson, etc, it lacked pizazz.

I’m pretty sure it will be on youtube shortly and will be posted by someone once available.
