  1. 3-3, but close enough margin to also be 5-1 the rest of the way. If either scenario holds true, we'll need some outside help to get to Indy.
  2. I hate 'em all, but then again, I'm a traditionalist and a simpleton.
  3. That's what I was thinking. Be great to see the Huskers give the Whorns a black eye. Maybe their fans would shut up then. Maybe. They have fans left after last year? They've been rather quiet, and I don't think they're anywhere near done losing for this season either. If, after this season plays out, we're paired with UTerus in a bowl, that's not a good thing for us because that would mean we didn't finish too well.
  4. Because I was seriously bored, and kind of geeky.... I used Sagarin as a predictor of how each division would finish. (commentary below it) Leaders Team Conf Record non-div record Wisconsin 8-0 3-0 Penn State 6-2 3-0 Ohio State 4-4 0-3 Illinois 4-4 2-1 Purdue 2-6 0-3 Indiana 0-8 0-3 Legends Team Conf Record non-div record Michigan St 7-1 2-1 Michigan 7-1 3-0 Nebraska 4-4 1-2 Iowa 4-4 2-1 Northw'tern 1-7 1-2 Minnesota 0-8 0-3 And that is why they play the games because the computer doesn't take into account anything other than some numbers. Using the predictor, Michigan State is favored by less than a point, and Penn State is favored by about 2 points. I like the fact that MSU plays Wisconsin the week before us, and we're at home for that game as well.
  5. Check out the video titled, "KINNICK STADIUM ‘CARD STUNT’ DELIGHTS" on http://btn.com/schools/iowa/video/ Impressive!!
  6. Only saw the last few minutes, but Zook reminded me a lot of Pinkel with his decision making prowess.
  7. That was quite a game, actually, even with/especially because of the turnovers. That 2 point play was simply amazing because you knew they guy was in total agony.
  8. I saw one site predicting that bowl, but vs Arkansas. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/bowls/predictions Personally, I'd love to play Stanford (and for obvious reasons, would love it to be the Rose Bowl). I wanted to play them instead of Arizona a couple of years ago.
  9. remember when they used to all swarm to the ball/ball carrier and help each other out? Those were some good times.
  10. You misspelled Mancrappin. But anyway............. Kudos to the mildcats - I like to make fun of them, but I'll admit they're playing some pretty good ball this year.
  11. I know who we DON'T want to see -- Washington, and I'd have to think no bowl selection committee would want it either. But, all things being equal, who would you like to see in a bowl game? (Key = all things being EQUAL)
  12. This. I will give credit for the line improving to whoever coached 'em up, but I don't think it's any coincidence that the improvement suddenly started when there were "helpers".
  13. He had to be voted player of the week by fans, Im sure some of his "haters" last week voted for him in this poll. My best friend is a big time hater, so I threw this voting thing in her face and told her to make nice with Tmart and give him a vote. She refused & won't give him an ounce of credit. But, then again, she's Mrs. Backupqbisbetternomatterwhat.
  14. HATE having Nebraska, and anyone associated with Nebraska, brought up in this context. Does this have anything to do with Marvin Sanders leaving (or being asked to leave)? http://espn.go.com/c...-ncaa-documents
  15. Because we want to be at the heart of the action. Is Gretna a happening place? If it is, it's news to me.
  16. Is it weird that I love Runzas but I find Val's pizza to be disgusting? I find them both disgusting. But I digress. The OP said something about a must-stop in Omaha. I will highly recommend a trip to the Henry Doorly zoo - if you like that sort of thing at all, and have time to squeeze it in. It is THE must stop for out of state visitors and a top notch zoo.
  17. Not so much a classy thing, but the smart thing. Very smart. Very little chance of having a turnover going the other way for 6 when you're in a V-formation. No sense in getting greedy and having it bite you in the ass.
  18. I can't quite get past that everyone but him knew Martinez isn't Peyton Manning during the Wisconsin game. I think he did an excellent job for the OSU game, redeemed himself somewhat. But, the jury is still out with me. I think he has a world of potential as OC, though, as long as the offense keeps evolving, not getting stale, not getting predictable, and most of all, getting all the play makers out there as possible.
  19. I've got to think (and hope) the light bulb came on. Will it stay on? I can't even vote until after the next game. Even though it's "just Minnesota", think about how crappy the defense looked in the first half against a decimated OSU team with piss-poor offense.
  20. "Who cares, he sucks, and that's that"... is what the haters will say.
