  1. Interesting... Looks like our new staff seems to value Staton more than Fyfe. or....Armstrong may get the most reps in his squad and Fyfe gets the most in his, giving the staff more looks at the top 2. I think it is too early to look into anything just yet. btw, is there a practice roster out? That would be interesting to see who is in which group.
  2. Yes, it is the thread "After Signing Day" Regarding Texas, outside of the last 3 years they were pretty good. If they are counting the MNC year, the graph would include 2 BCS title appearances for Texas plus a several top 10 finishes. The last few years make it hard to remember that they were actually really good during the 2000's...
  3. Texas had quite a few good years between 2005 and last year. Not sure if they counted the game against USC, if so that would be 2 BCS title games. But the last 3 years definitely took the sheen off.
  4. edit: nevermind. I gotta learn to read the WHOLE article and look at ALL charts before commenting This will just support what a lot of Husker fans already are hoping for.
  5. Most informative and level headed: McKewon Most irritatingly positive (loved by some): Sipple Most irritatingly negative (loved by some): Chatelain Most entertaining radio: Sharp and Benning Most annoying radio but with good guests: Unsportsmanlike Conduct Most missed local guy: Kevin Kugler (glad his career is going well)
  6. And that is EXACTLY the reason all children who don't have a medical condition that prevents vaccination should be vaccinated. Children get vaccines at 1 year to 18 months old and a booster before kindergarten. These keep the diseases from spreading to the "weak" babies and other people with weak immune system who would love the vaccines if they could receive them. I would be furious to find out some 5 year old with irresponsible parents gave my infant child the measles at daycare. There are people in Omaha who are quarantined with their infants for 30 days because of this stupidity. Fortunately we were able to get our five year olds in for the MMR booster in time when we were notified of the potential exposure, because that's what reasonable people do. I say stupidity because that's what it is...
  7. and here we thought Pelini's staff was "negatively charged"....
  8. The grossest, albeit most fun, thing about all these titles is imagining the plot lines....
  9. You're right. You'd have to be a moron to come in there and change things. Beck's imprint will be very minor IMO. Beck is there to get an education. What exactly is he going to teach? I'll wait for your answer to that. Please, don't be vague. You'd also have to be a moron to pay a guy $550K so you can give him an education and get nothing in return. So......... Again I ask. Again. What does he bring to the table? What is Beck going to teach the Ohio St. Offense? Really basic question. Really. You've dodged it once now Guy Chamberlain. As for you Teachercd, I'm not sure if you're talking to me or not, but I literally said the opposite. Urban Meyer knows exactly what he's doing. He's already a coaching legend in my books. So again. Again. I ask. What does Beck bring to the table? What will Beck do for that offense? I'm trying not to be a prick (it's my nature). I'd love to hear what both of your answers are. Your so adamant about this yet, I see no response to the question. Why? True, the ball is not in my court on this. So I'm not dodging anything. Tim Beck will bring to the table his coaching experience, and impart it to the Ohio State offense under the watchful eye of Urban Meyer and others. Just like any other coach Urban Meyer could have hired, but didn't. Tim Beck will not be imparting his coaching experience under the watchful eye of Bo Pelini. Maybe that means something. Maybe not. But at some point you gotta consider the possibility that Urban Meyer knows more about football coaching than you do. Consider it? What in the hell is happening here? I've ACKNOWLEDGED IT repeatedly. I've literally called the guy a legend! Holy crap. The man wins national championships everywhere he goes. What more can I say? I simply asked what does Tim Beck bring to the Ohio St. offense? What will he teach the offensive players? What skills do you believe he brings to the job? I've given atleast 20 reasons why I don't think Beck brings anything to that job. I'm just asking why you guys think Meyer made the right hire? Is the answer seriously because you think Meyer is a good coach? Ok.....we agree. So what makes Beck a good coach? What does he bring to Ohio States offense? Literally, who has said that? Show me the quote where anyone has said they know better than Urban Meyer what Beck does or doesn't bring to the table? Have you read this thread. Probably more then half of the posts. You apparently gave us 20 of them True...
  10. Wrong again. I just wanted to argue about something. I think we have a decent chance at getting this QB. Are you my wife??? Aren't you supposed to be working?
  11. As a Cowboys fan, this is disappointing.... But I also don't blame him. He has been a tremendously good sport about how he handled the loss of responsibilities in Dallas, and he has the o-line turned into a machine. Granted, talent helps too.
  12. This^I guess you can be but why do you want to? Why is it fun to just constantly be critical of your favorite program? The irony...or is the correct word hypocrisy??? How so? Go to any game thread or any thread discussing Pelini during the last 2-3 years. You have been critical, we all have. I'm not going to go to the trouble of quoting posts but they are not hard to find

  14. His 4 win season was a drastic improvement and he had them in BCS bowls his fourth year. He also has made the 49ers a force again. I can see him lose some respect in the NFL locker rooms, he doesn't seem to coddle players. That is what scares me about him at Michigan. He will turn it into a powerhouse again, my gut feeling. Some see whiny, I see intense. That stuff doesn't bother me. I felt the same way about Pelini, that is the only way I'll compare the two. Harbaugh is a better coach and will win more games..
  15. hahahahaha you dont get it, do you? enlighten me Michigan has the money...They wouldn't offer if they didn't. They without a doubt hired "up". MU fans are excited and "can't wait" while NU fans are stuck in "wait and see..." Big difference about the excitement behind the hires. True, but I think Michigan is going to be paying for this hire for many years to come. I don't see Harbaugh staying in the college ranks for long. I'm not impressed with him as a coach either. If he leaves on his own, they will owe nothing, heck, they might even get paid handsomely from the buyout. Nebraska's coach may also potentially retire in 5 years, or he may coach for 15 more. Same with Harbaugh. At least Harbaugh roots at Michigan that will help to keep him there. Honest question, why are you not impressed?

MU fans are excited and "can't wait" while NU fans are stuck in "wait and see..." Big difference about the excitement behind the hires. Excitement drives revenue. edit: before I get blasted, even the fans excited about Riley have said to "give him a chance", "wait and see"...Most fans are more excited about the absence of Bo rather than the presence of Riley. There is a lot of doubt in Nebraska. I don't get the sense of that in Michigan.
  17. because hes had 4 god damn weeks to get this sh#t out of his system and go out as a proud HUSKER. Not a damn Boliever. Perfectly depicts all the problems with the program inside and out over the past 7 years. Us vs world. At least under Riley us fans will be back on the US side. Because you make "the world" seem so wonderful..You have also had 4 weeks to get this sh#t out of your system!
  18. IMO...Michigan came out ahead He will maintain recruiting momentum of the last few years, if not improve it. And he is a better coach than Hoke, history shows that at Stanford and SF.
  19. It's not a big deal, but that part of the clip when Bo said "what you should have said..." was obviously edited. There was a second or two cut out when the players supposedly responded with "he didn't have an answer". Maybe it was edited because it was just dead air time.
  20. I don't get it? Explain... There are a lot of people who, if the shoe were on the other foot, would be taking great pleasure in running victory laps and outing those who did not think our departed head coach could achieve success. Even though all that was wanted was Nebraska success. Now that it's obvious he wasn't the answer, they'd rather move on because it's easier than them looking at their year (s) of defending a man that had little to no regard for them. lol... If the shoe "was on the other foot", Bo Pelini would still be the coach at Nebraska and the discussion would be worthwhile...
  21. "You know, at the end of the day, people can say a lot about what we did. We won a lot of football games since I've been here. You guys represent this place phenomenally, in the classroom, in the community. What you should have said is, "What are those core values you're talking about?" (Players said, almost in unison, “He didn't have an answer.”) Because he didn’t have an answer, guys. He doesn't even — I told you — guys like that don’t know what is important to them. You have to represent something." Wonder why they cut out the part where players "in unison" said Eichorst had no answers when asked about core values? That was the only reason I listened to the audio because I felt that the players' reaction would be very telling about the meetings. If SE truly couldn't answer that question in front of the players, I wouldn't trust his motives either....
  22. 57 yarder against Colorado......and the ensuing pick 6
  23. Humanity Back. So that's what the H stands for. Does MR realize he is coaching at Nebraska??? So we are recruiting "humans" in the backfield now????? How far have we fallen?!?!?
  24. I believe that link is projections with official matchups in red. Not saying it won't happen, but I would hold off on buying tickets for a couple hours
