  1. Nice recruiting tool too. Sell kids on an opportunity to go to oversees and play.
  2. This thread is why we are where we are. Goodness fellas. If you change everything after every bad occurrence then this cycle will never stop. Frost is the right guy. Give him and his staff time to blossom. Ted Gilmore is a horrible- pretty darn good for Wisconsin beck is terrible- urban and Herman disagree. Barney cotton is the worst- some might wish he was here now. Next year will be big to see some of the body types play that this staff has brought in. You can’t add too much horsepower to short body frames. The strength program is designed to take tall, long frames and make them into something special.
  3. Explosive for a big guy. Building the trenches. Welcome N!
  4. Under- Vedral gets the call Number of Nebraska Pass Attempts- 23.5
  5. CB to Nebraska from National Guy Brandon Huffman. My bad @Ziebol I am late to the party.
  6. If we are in quarters then Tannor has a quick reroute and then should be underneath that in the curl. Safety is over 2 with hole help form the ILB. We run this a lot against quarters coverage in a 2x2 to occupy the flat defender and play pitch and catch on the outside.
  7. Got a W. Ugly. Going to be an adventure the rest of the year. No easy games. Bright side- offense scored more points and had more yards against NW than Wisconsin did. Defense played lights out and held NW to less points than Wisconsin. Dark Side- WR and Oline play. But that NW defense is pretty darn good. Scary they have only 2 SR on the 2 deep.
  8. That would be huge. Fong with a hunch is good enough for me.
  9. I think there is a chance Corcoran could help right away. Depends on if he is an Early Enrollee, but kid is put together and athletic. I do think if Betts can qualify and pick up the offense he could help right away too. On second thought Betts should play immediately bc we have WRs who have been in the system for 2 years that dont quite have the system down.
  10. One doink from the XP is correct. 75% for the day on XP's would be a solid day for us I believe.
  11. He is important, but I think we can find WR's. Turner Corcoran could be special.. Lot harder to find OL than WR.
  12. Looks like this kid will not be a Buffalo, and that makes me happy.
  13. Slow played kid from Alabama that Bama and Auburn have showed interest in. I will take it. Ameer Abdullah and Cam Taylor have worked out pretty well for us so far. Like how this staff is continuing to work the SEC region. We seem to be making headway in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama.
  14. Will be a dog fight. NW is built to compete in the big ten west. They know what they need to do to be in close games, and win them ugly. With no kicking game, poor special teams play, and an ability to turn the ball over at any moment will make this game a barn burner. With that said NW is pretty bad in offense this year. I take The good guys by 3, 27-24.
  15. Not sure if there is a difference between a sun belt team and Kansas or Rutgers.
  16. Looks like he is visiting Wash State this weekend.
  17. Instead of looking at stars and saying this guy is bad and we are wasting a schollie, you should try to be constructive and tell what it is you dont like about a particular prospect. I dont mean that as insulting or anything, and it would add to the discussion on the board.
  18. It can be done. It doesnt take a recruiting service to indentify the guys Clem, Bama and OSU are getting. My grandma can spot a 5 star talent and those guys are few in far between. Fortunately, for the rest of the NCAA there are more than just a handful of studs in HS, some just need some developing and may have a higher ceiling than the 18 year old kids who are more physically developed. If you look at Wiscy, Iowa, MSU they have sent a lot of DB's to the league, and most of them are 2 and 3 star players. Finding guys that fit what you ask them to do, and developing them can go a long ways. We will have to wait a year or 2 to see how this all pans out but I think our secondary will start to look different in the coming years.
  19. Yeah too bad we took a 5.5 project in Cam Taylor. Braxton Clark, Newsome, Farmer would all be considered projects. Pretty excited to see those guys develop. Lamar Jackson would be classified as a star coming out of HS and it took him 3 years to figure it out. Eric Lee, Avery Anderson, Marquel Dismuke were all 4 stars and I think the 3 stars we have could have a higher ceiling. But who knows? I guess we will just have to wait and see.
  20. This is bologna. I get that it was maybe unnecessary, but to lose a whole game for this is absurd. The ref didn't even think it warranted a penalty....and to lose a whole game, not just a half unheard of.
  21. In the grand scheme it doesnt mean much. The loss to Michigan last year was worse, bc that Michigan team wasnt as good as this OSU team and most Husker fans felt pretty good by the end of the season. It just solidifies the fact we are not a top tier team. Not many realistic Husker fans thought we were a top tier team going into the year. How you should judge this team is how we compete against the B1G West this year. Can we stop the run against Iowa and Wiscy? Can we win games we should win against NW, Minny, and Purdue? If we can do that, then we made significant gains from where we were at last year.
  22. Louisville, Mizzou, Pittsburg, UCF, Wake Forest, and Washington State among many other G5 Regional offer is not too bad. Also, nice to see Pittsburg on him bc Narduzzi knows a little about identifying DB talent.
