These guys have an easier schedule than two thirds of all teams. But I'll predict right now that by mid-October Boise will be complaining that they should be ranked among the top couple of teams in the nation. If they beat Michigan State that first game, you can guarantee it. I will say it right now, there is no way they beat MSU. With MUS's defense, and no Kellen Moore I just cannot see them winning that game. Sparty gonna beat the Broncos like a rented mule. Something like this.

I don't know.....except for the football comment, it sounds really similar to us pre-Big Ten Huskers Well to be fair NU has a midwestern culture and borders another Big Ten State and as far as geography goes you have to drive through three non-Big Ten States to get to SC. When the top 2 HS teams played each other several years back (Massilion OH and some team from Georgia) I was amazed that this would happen. Then I figured out that when my old HS team played Scotsbluff, we traveled FARTHER than the teams from OH and GA. Probably Warner-Robbins. They are really good in sports.

Once again, how does this affect the auto bids. Clearly a 1 loss Ala. team is better than a 3 loss Big East team, or a 4 loss Neuter Dame. How do they keep all the conferences happy.

Not realistic today, that's for sure. Hoke has done a helluva job recruiting, however. They're bringing in the athletes, and unfortunately they *may* be approaching that status. You're right though. They're not there yet. Maybe in a few years. Michigan is going to be our primary competitor for the division for years to come I think. Sparty will have some nice teams and Iowa will collect a trophy scalp or two every year, but the Wolverines are stocking the cupboard. That's gonna be a huge game for us every year going forward. Agreed. When you peel back the layers of Michigan's season last year they played 8 games at home and 4 on the road. They were 2-2 on the road and did not beat a ranked opponent and lost to Iowa. Their schedule was set up for them to make a big time run last year with the talent that Rich Rod recruited. If Michigan starts with a sputter, expect some of those kids to begin to look around. Here's to hoping.
