  1. This is what we were supposed to be all year. TA should alternate with Martinez when he is healthy.
  2. I think that as the season goes on we will find out this is not a good South Dakota State team, it's a great one. (Sarcasm hand raised)
  3. I still support Bo, but he needs help. One man does not cannot make, and does not constitute, and empire.
  4. Not gonna lie. For the first time in Bo's tenure I jumped on the fire the whole staff bandwagon. I think that Bo does run a good ship, and he has done a decent job recruiting. Those are the positives. That said, I agree with many others in this thread who have argued that Bo needs to hire some proven coordinators. We got quite frankly lucky last year, and it is time for some seasoned leadership.
  5. Living in Fargo I've had he ability to watch Bohl and NDSU a handful of times. While he runs a great program, I don't see how he would be a hands down improvement. He is a defensive coach who's offense is too bland for my liking. Yes, he looked good at Ksucks...but in my opinion I think a good chunk of their success lies on the shoulder and arm of Brock Jensen. A great QB makes a good coach look great.
  6. It's hard to say following our performance...but did you see any of the Michigan game. They reversed Texassed it (three is no way there wasn't a second left on that clock!)
  7. While I agree with what you've said, getting to the BIG championship again...getting grossly outcoached...and enduring another nationally televised embarrassment just might be more than I can take.
  8. How was that not "using the helmet as a weapon" on the UCLA running back?
  9. I'd take freshman Taylor over senior Taylor every game. This.
  10. Truly terrible. Thoughts and prayers to the family and the UCLA football family.
  11. Big time thanks to the Mn4Ne watch party! From the pep band playing during commercial breaks, to the atmosphere created by all those husker fans....it was a great time! That and it was fun to see all of the bewildered Minnesota and Michigan fans asking if we had "somehow been transported to Nebraska?"
  12. Catching be game at Joe Sensers and gotta say I'm impressed with the number of husker fans. The bar has got special tall boy and rail specials complete with mn4ne koozies. Not bad!
  13. The wife surprised me with tickets to this game today!!!! So stoked!
  14. Nice! I get as frustrated as everyone else, and may have dropped a expletives on Saturday night...but enjoy the ride boys!! Who knows how this season will go. Are we Alabama? No, but there aren't many FBS teams that can say they are in 'Bama's league right now. I really have no idea how things will go. I can hope for the best, and fear the worst...that is all. GBR!
  15. While I am not a huge Herbstreit fan...lets keep out eyes on the ball people. I'd take Herbie and Fowler over Mark May and Lou Holt-thchz any day!
  16. I think the athletic d will confound the initial Wyoming game-plan and we will have a 24-7-ish halftime lead. Following that Wyoming will adjust and it will turn to more of a track meet. Following the game: People are excited about the freshman running-backs. One or both has a good game. People are overly excited about the front seven, the line and linebackers consistently stuff the run during the game. People are overly dramatic about the secondary, Wyoming has a good qb and some nice receivers. People should not panic, but will be convinced that "were this Michigan, Ohio State, Northwestern, or Wisconsin we would have been crushed!!!!" Despite having the game in hand most all of the game, people will not be happy with the result. 52-28 NU
  17. I really miss the student section. I've had hit and miss times in North Stadium though.
  18. Is it wrong for Husker fans to demand excellence? I don't think so. Is it a touch ridiculous that getting beat by a better team damages the psyche of an entire state? A touch. I think much of this discussion is personal preference, I prefer to enter the season with optimism and likely have my heart broken from time to time (I am a Cubs fan after all), others prefer to be a touch skeptical and to be surprised from time to time and proven right at others. I don't want to see blowouts, I want the team to play hard and with passion, and I want them to win every game. I am just growing weary of every Husker fan requiring every other fan to have their perspective on the team. Things will be okay people, if they are not...they will get someone who will make it okay. Enjoy the ride!
