  1. Agreed, I didn't really consider this until now, but Big 10 > PAC 12. Mora is looking like he'll bolt to the NFL soon, leaving UCLA sucking again. Kelly too is looking around and Oregon is gonna get hammered with sanctions here, though its looking like he's just going to use the Browns and Eagles interviews to drive up his salary at Oregon. Good luck with both sanctions and now being a pariah to NFL franchises after blowing off now 3 TEAMS, douche. But I digress, USC is back to their usual underachieving level of sucktitude. There's Stanford who's been amazingly consistent, and The Beavs are on the rise (got alot of respect for the head coach), but the top teams in their conference minus Stanford look suspect at this point..
  2. Whoa, kid looks unblockable on film... what little of it I watched. I don't know the competition level, but if him and Collins both wind up in, we may have ourselves a really high quality under the radar pair of DT's, ladies and gentleman.
  3. Attaboy Landlord. All is forgiven brother. I didn't even notice. Btw is that pony sig really blocked or is that a joke?
  4. Looks like Dom Walker is confirmed as the next member of this recruiting class. Finally, some good news!

At this point ... it is still the DE/DT spot that is gonna make or break this class.

  5. Great that he's still considering us... However, this concerns me. You said he sucks EZ-E? Thought he was a reach until I realized he will have three years to play at the school he chooses. Adds depth and gives us another body that we need. Nash did however kinda put it to him. However IWCC Was far better than Dupage. I know you have some sort of connection to IWCC... amazes me we don't recruit out of that school. Any ideas why? Has me scratching my head too... Especially since that Long kid was the #1 JUCO recruit in the nation. Now we're fairly well stocked at wr but still...
  6. Where exactly are you seein that Hacker? Just went over there and couldn't find a trace of Bradley.
  7. Bradley and Toby Johnson, took recruiting trips to Nebraska and Missouri. From what we heard, Toby Johnson liked Nebraska but was lukewarm on Missouri and Tennessee was out of consideration for Johnson. Bradley did not care for Nebraska and was about to commit to and sign with Mizzou but was told by his JUCO coach to wait a few days to let everything sink in after his trip to Columbia. Now out of the blue we are hearing that Bradley gushing about his love for Nebraska and is likely a packaged deal to go there with Toby Johnson. We will soon see. http://www.tigerboar...essage=10319489 That sight makes my eyes bleed.
  8. I'd bet the house that 5.5 number for Miles is a poorly hand-timed figure or something submitted to Rivals. People, he's a DEFENSIVE TACKLE. Who gives a flying **** what his 40 team is, as long as he eats him some O-linemen.
  9. If anybody knows a good place to watch the fight online tonite please PM me.

  10. If anybody caught Tessitore and Herbstreit talking about the Heisman during halftime of the FCS playoffs tonite... Tessitore can suck my monkeys. Him discussing Teo-- "The 1980's was the last time we've had an exclusively defensive player come this close to winning the Heisman." What a boob.

And Woodson returned punts/kickoffs I think.

  11. The weight thing IS a little concerning, considering we've seen how poorly the underweight DT has worked for us so far this season... I have to wonder if he can stay there long term. Time will tell.
  12. DO... WHATEVER... THE F#CK... YOU NEED TO DO... TO GET THE PIECES... YOU NEED. ALL CAPS!!!!
  13. F#CK! Why are we sitting pretty with so many offensive recruits!? Is that really what we should be concerning ourselves with at this point in time!?!? (Yes, I know Miles just committed).
  14. A bit under the radar, but let's hope it works out and welcome to the family. Let's not get ourselves in a "Well, let's take whoever we can get because we're scrambling and our DL depth sucks" attitude, posters. Let's not forget Bo had to do this his first class here the year Cally was fired, and it often leads to taking players who aren't actually worth a scholly just in order to meet some quota. I'd rather not. Not that Miles is that way. A few decent offers in his list. I'm just saying, in general, that is not a good idea.
  15. Curry played too much, Moss will get a Med RS As for DT no one is going to be able to answer that, not even the coaches. I think we have the best shot a Quincy Russell, then Toby Johnson (hes talking about bringing his family back and it would be for a 3rd time) Pecko is probably MSU or Utah, Hooks is Ole Miss or Miami. We may have a shot with Devante Bond. Bo will be soon or already is visiting Hooks tonight, so things could swing, but doubtful. If we could just kidnap (or pay) Hooks Toby and Russell our Dline would be majorly upgraded for the next few years, scary good. We will be lucky to get one to be honest with you, even thou we need 3. Kaz will have a lot of work to do with the young guys and we will lack the depth again next year, unless a couple guys swing our way. How does this vicious cycle change then? It continues to baffle me how, when we run a scheme that is predicated so heavily upon the DL generating pass rush on the opposing QB and fill gaps in run support, that we continue to fail at getting big time DL recruits. McMullen and VV were highly regarded last year, but Curry was a gimme with him loving Kaz while he was at Iowa. Moss didn't really have any other schools that were as high profile as us. I believe it came down to us and ASU no? Especially after Suh's Heisman run, and how he continues to generate headlines to this day, I am shocked that more DL recruits aren't lining up to come to NU. I just wish I knew why. We had a Carl problem for awhile on the DL. I think the guy was a hell of a recruiter and was great at finding Juco guys but on the Dline high school kids he often wanted the under rated guy or a guy he though was a diamond in the rough. A little bit in his defense the Dline recruit s the hardest to get right coming from HS because often these guys are fully developed or don't have a lot of room for growth. They're looking like all pros because they're just bigger and better than most high school kids. But that being said he often over ruled the RC and JP and made us take someone else. Thats why we've got a hole there now between our RS and our SRs. If true I find that VERY interesting skers. I have never heard this before. Can you give a specific example of times this happened? It's a shame if Carl really did this. It implies he was hand-picking his favorite recruits, instead of the consensus higher rated ones, correct?
  16. In related news to Richard's status, rumors swirling Bo is lusting after the Cincy job.

  19. EZ, good to hear we're actually sitting really well with Priest at this point. I like how you pointed out Bo's forte of strong secondaries and ability to shut down passing games. This of course, made me want to play devil's advocate... What exactly are we doing to shore up our WEAKNESS on defense, the front seven and their ability to stuff running games? I strongly believe that most of the reason for the struggles since Suh left is lack of talent and depth in the front seven. Specifically, on the DL. There's a reason Baker almost never came off the field before he got hurt. We simply didn't have the horses behind him to be able to sub him out. IF you look at our depth chart there this year: DT: Baker, Rome, Thad, Cam, Guy, Peat, Williams, Curry, VV. DE: EMart, Ankrah, Cam, Moss, McMullen. Forgive me if I have forgotten anyone. I feel they're listed in order of coaching staff's comfortability playing them. Anybody Below basically Cam on the DT list was either RSing or injured this year. LB, we are basically spread very thin. 3 starting seniors + Santos, ZA (before injury) and possibly Roach, though we haven't heard much of him. So, we've definitely upgraded the depth and skill at the LB position the last two classes. But our DL remains shaky to me. VV, Curry, and Moss all pushed for playing time this year and obviously the latter two had their shirts burnt. However, we lose all three starters at LB and 3 of our DL starters. Moss, Curry and VV look like monsters, and McMullen was the most heralded of any of the guys from last year, but where do you see the help coming from on DL? I still think we definitely need a major upgrade of talent there, similar to the influx we've seen at LB the last two years. Gregory looks like he could possibly walk in and start next year, but we have no DT's committed, which is arguably our biggest need. Who do you see us getting? This is a call to EZ, Hedley, or anyone else who has more than a guess where we lie with DL recruits and who the staff likes the best. Basically, anybody who has any information that is going to make us be very happy, very soon.
  20. I understand the kid may have some qualification issues... But does that top 4 make ANY SENSE? If you look at it purely from a success on the field standpoint, we blow the other 3 schools away RIGHT NOW. My guess is location and WOMENZZZ are being taken into account on this one though.
  21. God I REALLY hope we show up for the bowl game... I was thinking about what the offseason would be like if we saw another Saturday-esque performance at the Cap One... -__-

UGA is prolly workin on the same plays Wisconsin used..

  22. But if he's just telling a previous commit that he can't sign, he would still be able to take a more-sought-after player instead of someone else without technically "over-signing". At least he's got the balls to tell it to the kid's face rather than letting them show up on campus, get all settled in, and deciding later on who needs to be "cut." The story that came out about the QB who had his scholly revoked thru mo fault of his own at LSU made me lose all respect for that scumbag Miles. The QB got a freakin LETTER letting him no he no longer Haida scholarship (he was an upperclassman). Keep it classy, Les. IIRC, they also had a lineman on that same video that said they shafted him too. I'd recommend digging up the video if you want to learn some more about Miles' recruiting tactics at LSU. A google search of "LSU backup QB scholarship over signing" would probably do it. Btw, Toby, come to NU bud! We're seriously the place to be!
