Maybe this makes me a jerk, but I don't get why people care so much about this, at least in terms of the instant ZOMG OUTRAGE. I totally get it from the standpoint of 'hey, it's a kid, so the cool thing to do is give him a ball.' But, otherwise, so what? Maybe the guy has been waiting his whole life for a chance like that and finally got it. Maybe this game meant something special to him for some reason and the ball was really important.

Maybe that little kid has 100 of those at home. Maybe he even once pushed another kid out of the way to get a ball at a previous game.

And maybe there's a ton of context from this situation I'm missing. But, seems like people get juiced up about ANY time an adult keeps a ball over a kid. Just seems like an awfully ridiculous thing for people to get so up in arms about.

@Enhance you're over thinking this. It's a kid and an adult, an Iowa adult......it doesn't matter how long the guy's been waiting for a ball or how many the kid might have. The right thing for anybody that age is to give it to a kid, preferably the one he stole it from.
