  1. Funny guy that Stephen Colbert. And I want to see one of those 300 lbs linebackers he mentions.
  2. I went to that game. Tons of talent. Ricky Henry and Alex Henery played for Burke. Niles Paul for North. So did Phil Bates QB who went to Iowa State.
  3. Sorry to hear it. Maybe try a bike that’s a bit easier on the spine. A touring bike that rides like a La-z-boy. Perhaps a Goldwing or BMW1200.
  4. HS football coach. DC at Dartmouth. CEO of brokerage firm. Interesting career path. If he can help out NU somehow, well, all good.
  5. Oh man. Young had the best hands of any TE on the roster——now that McNeil lines up wide. I hope Cotton can catch. He had a couple of grabs against CU last year, I but I can’t recall any other receptions all year. At least he’s good sized for a TE, and should be a crushing blocker.
  6. I dunno. I think Va Tech beats Boise. Not by much though. Beamer ball doesn’t hang a half-a-hunderd.
  7. They installed a west coast offense this year. yawn.
  8. And if we don't, it's going to be a long year-because the rest of their schedule is an absolute joke that UNO would go undefeated through (Joking, but you can see my point) You know, this is Oklahoma’s fault. Stoops couldn’t get his team to show up to the Fiesta Bowl three years ago. And Boise beat them. Barely. Now everyone thinks Boise is a giant killer.
  9. Burkhead quicker and faster. Wow! That will be something to see.
  10. Okay, how many people really think Boise State is the 3rd best team in the nation? If we played Boise two games, home and away, could we beat them? I say yes. Like a drum.
  11. Yeah, entering his 3rd NFL season and looking good. Who woulda thunk it back around spring game time in 2006. He was buried 4th or 5th on the depth chart for a while, or something like that iirc. Bjax has done quite well.
  12. Does any one else have issues with Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan in one division and OS and PS in the other? Here's a link to a Hawkeye board discussion Looking through that Hawkeye board thread, they don't seem to think it will be a big deal to split tOSU / Meechicken. I have my doubts they will be split. The rivalry ranks right up there with Army/Navy and Neuter Dame/USC.
  13. I wonder if this had anything to do with the move.
  14. Ha ha! Not that there’s anything wrong with THAT. (in best Jerry Seinfeld voice)
  15. How can it be that no one has mentioned the Valentino's Pizza on East Campus yet? It’s the original Valentino's, the first one before they franchised, right? Too bad they closed P.O. Pears a few years back. That place was legendary.
  16. Glad to see the author paid homage to the Camstache. FEAR THE STACHE!
  17. No doubt the first of many NFL highlights for Spiller. The guy is a freak.
  18. This is a bit off-topic, but Angus Quigley, Toben Opurum and Keeston Terry——what's with the names? Those may be the strangest three names I’ve ever seen in one sentence. This strikes me as odd too. I thought Keeston Terry would be a great WR. But he doesn’t seem nearly physical enough to be a DB.
  19. My theory is that he was kidnapped by aliens. Or perhaps *he* is an alien and was called back to the mothership. Seriously though. I hope the guy is okay.
  20. Crick. He's our best D-lineman. Hands down. His loss would hurt seriously weaken our rotation. It would affect our run coverage and our pass coverage. yeah, the pun was intentional, btw. heh.
  21. *bump* I wish I could speak Mandarin. It is an impossible language to learn. For me, anyway.
  22. Ha ha! You just *know* the Adam James/Craig James thing is going to come up sooner or later. Even if the topic is strictly verboten.
  23. Why is it that star ratings for kickers mean less than almost any other position? I mean, the skill set is fairly narrow, and extremely measurable.
