  1. He was brought with a Woody Hayes mentality. Jim Tressell deserves these guys. A cheater, a psycho and a cokehead.
  2. Did he pay for the damn jacket? I was at the Northwestern game, nobody gave me anything. Bet he didn't pay for his hot dog either.
  3. Game was filled with sh*tty calls, fortunately this one was in our favor for once.
  4. I believe he could. He's learned from some of the best minds out there. Offensively, he would have likely played to our strengths versus trying to jam a square peg into a round hole. He would go out and recruit athletes capable of playing in a simple offense predicated on the run game. I also think because of Scott's extensive background in coaching (and has experience on defense,) that he would surround himself with good defensive assistants. I guess my original question was too vague. Let me restate. Can Frost immediately adapt his offensive style to the current talent? So...let me get this straight "He would go out and recruit athletes capable of playing in a simple offense predicated on the run game" and this would be allowable because? It seems no one has allowed Riley this luxury. Should Riley be given an opportunity to establish himself with his recruits? He has had little success with Pelini's talent and this is unacceptable. Why should Frost be viewed differently in the same circumstance?
  5. Apparently Eichorst is a sly one. So I ask, How many of you foresaw the Riley hire before it happened? Maybe SE has slipped up and tipped his hand. Just sayin
  6. Just a question - Can Frost adapt his offensive style to the current talent a DONU?
  7. I agree. The fan BASE will always be there. The johnny come lately, thirty-something, instant gratification fans are NOT the fan BASE "instant gratification fans are NOT the fan BASE" Says the guy on the internet telling the rest of the FAN BASE, who are also on the Internet. No but they are loosing people like me. I live in a heavy Iowa Hawkeye fan base territory. You think it is fun like that. I have completely lost faith in the administration at Nebraska. It's so bad its loosing a lot of us as fans. There are parts of this fan base that are going to begin to erode. Well, apparently you lack the fortitude to be a FAN. USC took a real nosedive before Carroll came on board. They are again relevant. I guess you would have difficulty being a Cubs, Red Sox, Mets, Bears, Lions etc. fan. As Andy Taylor once told Opie "I know you didn't win, but the important thing is you was in there tryin'." Opie: "They don't give you no medal for tryin'." Andy: "I know that, I know they don't. and it's nice to win somethin', it's real nice to win somethin' but it's more important to know how not to win somethin'. " Opie: "I know how to do that real good." Andy: "No, no you don't." I believe a REAL FAN BASE understands that concept.

  9. Not following this reference. Probably too young to remember "Clapton is God"
  10. Who is cm husker and what makes him the Eric Clapton of Nebraska football?
  11. Ya know, I seem to recollect that not so long ago, shortly after the BC firing to be exact, I proposed the name Scott Frost for the Nebraska staff in some capacity. I was ridiculed for suggesting such an outlandish notion. When I inquired as to why such hostility, I was informed he deserted his home state for Stanford of all places. Now with his success at Oregon, we seem to view him as the prodigal son. Yes, he's seen his share of accomplishment but, would a system he brings to NU from Oregon succeed any more quickly than Riley's, given the talent pool he would have inherited?
  12. There it is, wondered how long this rumor would take to surface. This coupled with Frost as OC and Edsall as DC, then "we'd all be drinkin' that free Bubble-Up and eatin' that rainbow stew"
  13. Had this thought recently, would like to see a pearlized white helmet with red metallic "N", stripe and facemask.
  14. If Kellogg had tweaked his ankle in warm-ups bef If Kellogg had tweaked his ankle in warm-ups beore the Northwestern game
  15. firstly, if you really believe that, then you underestimate the intelligence of some liberals secondly the p\OP was SARCASM
  16. Some people seem to think that the complete banishment of the Confederate battle flag will alter history and end racism as we know it forever and always Using that same logic, we should begin a movement to ban all images of Bill Callahan and Bo Pelini from NU web sites in hopes that history might be altered there as well
  17. This is sad. Recruiting has come to this. Michael Jordan’s son once lost his school a $3 million Adidas contract because he would only wear Nike! See signature
  18. Devaney bought the black jerseys at a local sporting goods store (remember those?) because they were on sale, and a tradition was born.
  19. People who stand in the aisle of the airplane immediately after it comes to a stop. Small women who can't get their entirely too large carry on in the overhead bin. People who back out of the parking space in front of you, then stop. Drivers who pass you on the right to get to the stoplight 4 seconds before you. Ohio State fans. Norte Dame fans. Donald Trump.
