  1. Thus far I have been completely underwhelmed with the play/performance of the triumvirate: Niles Paul, Menelik Holt and Chris Brooks. Note: Nate Swift and Todd Peterson were overall solid players, but maybe, just maybe, they really were that good.
  2. I have never seen a WR at the combine run a 4.7...maybe I don't watch enough.
  3. So why exactly do "we" care what some Missouri fan, or any other fan of another team, says about Nebraska?
  4. Burkhead was the 9th best rated RB in the nation according to rival.com Rex Burkhead so how did "being white" hurt him? I'm asking because I don't know.
  5. Hard to score a TD when you're on the sidelines redshirting.... I think Helu will score the first TD of the season.
  6. Edit: Do me a favor and please provide quotes, with appropriate url links, where I've said something that is so horrendous, been so threatening and/or otherwise been so mean that would justify what you said above. Edit: I'm asking because I can't remember doing anything that fits. Now if you can and do find something please post it and if I think it was threatening or otherwise over the line then I'll apologize. I'm not concerned, not in the least. But tell me, is anything I've typed about your program not true? We've had a couple previous exchages and I've treated you with courtesy and respect and you've done likewise. But don't get all butt-hurt when I start laying out the facts which contrast the Colorado and Nebraska fans base.
  7. No, but people who have class and dignity keep the details of their sex lives private. Oh, I forgot...the concepts of class and dignity are completely foreign to anybody associated with Colorado. I understand that this is a Husker site and as such I am expected to take my share but your comment is petty and stupid. First off I would wager that 2/3 of both our rosters probably did not grow up dreaming of playing for either school. So to reference some 19-20 year old kid's comments on a blog and somehow blanket everyone in a particular school is absurd and small minded, I could respond that this must be a Nebraska trait but then I would be just as guilty of being ignorant as your post. In my so called enlightened years, I have moved on from the petty cheap shots and I look forward to the more competitive aspects of college football. I recognize that these are young kids with an incredible amount of pressure and expectations that we as fans have burdened them with. I wish nothing but a good competitive season and I look forward to a great matchup between both our schools come November. For these kids' sakes I hope both teams can meet injury and scandal free. So Jenn, good luck to you all this coming season, CU in November. When Nebraska and Colorado play, which team always acts like uncouth thugs? Which team consistently points to the NU-CU game as the true judge of how the season went? Which team took the opportunity to jump up and down on our logo after a win? Which teams fans vandalizes our cars? Which set of fans throws bottles, bags and whatever other container of urine on our players and other fans? Now, I understand that every team's fan base has its bad apples and you may not be a part of this culture of idiocy, but the f-ed up stuff which occurs is far more prevelant on your side.
  8. Is pops a Husker fan? If he is then he'll understand why he and mom have to take a cab. Do you have a DVR or Tivo? Heck, hire a limo to pick them up.
  9. The problem is what's your definition of "ineffective?" What are the criteria points you are measuring or considering? For example, if Lee is throwing the ball right where he's supposed to but the WR's aren't catching it, is that Lee's fault? What about Helu, Castille and the running game? If the Nebraska OL isn't opening up holes for the RB's to run through, is that Lee's fault?
  10. I'm shocked... The thing is I don't know Brian Butler from a random stranger on the street. However, from what I've read about him, with the things he did, if they weren't NCAA violations then they were about as close as it gets. The vibe I received from Butler is that he's a cheap opportunist looking to make a quick buck off of the talents of recruits he represents. There's no question in my mind that he functioned as a sports agent. The bad part of all of this is that it'll basically ruin Bryce Brown's immediate future by making him ineligibile to play college ball. And without that college training and scouts being able to see game film of him, his chances of making it to the NFL become even smaller.
  11. I'm talking about recruiting Nebraska kids along the offensive line... So I'm not sure why you are extrapolating what I'm saying to the whole team.
  12. Okay, so name the teams that, regardless of the situation, you just can't cheer or root for and give a brief explanation. Notre Dame: The very epitome of over-rated. I understand that tradition and history are important in college football and I also understand that past glory is something to be proud of. However, Notre Dame hasn't been relevant since 1993 and yet to hear these golden domed morons talk you'd think that they've been in the top 5 every year. Furthermore, the fact that they 1) have their own exclusive television contract with NBC and 2) have a special clause in the BCS bowl games which guarantees them a spot with a mere 9 wins. 9 wins with their cupcake psuedo-Big 10+1 and service academy weak schedule. Miami: The Hurricanes are a team that no matter how much time passes are still the very essence of evil and everything that's wrong with college football. The original thug u. Colorado: This is literally the only team in the Big 12 I will never, ever, under any circumstances root for. All these guys care about is beating Nebraska. They could be 0-11 by the time they play us and if they win that game they think they've gone 12-0 and are the greatest team in the history of college football. And, this is the only team in the Big 12 where I honest to God hope they go 0-12 every year.
  13. What happened to Gardner? Did he not qualify academically? Did he go to a juco? Sign somewhere else and if so with whom?
  14. What? We're simply saying that we're glad he didn't come here. Or is that not allowed? I wish Paulus all the best, but I'm glad he didn't come here. 1. With the type of offense Nebraska runs, which is a hybrid of the west coast, zone read and spread, there is no way a QB can come in and learn the offense well enough to play as a first year player. 2. Paulus has 1 year of eligibility and to think that he'd come here and beat out Zac Lee is ridiculous. 3. When a coaching staff brings in a Kellar or Paulus they are essentially telling the players already on the roster they have no faith or confidence in them. 4. Syracuse is terrible right now...in every facet of the game. Furthermore, their OL is flat out atrocious. It will be nothing short of a miracle if Paulus makes it through the season without a major injury.
  15. I'm glad Greg Paulus didn't come here. And, he went to one of the worst teams in the country...
  16. I honestly think that Carl Pelini will be here for the rest of his career in coaching.
  17. I think Michigan has a shot at 6-6. Last year the QB position was Michigan's achilles heel because Steven Threet was horrible. He was clearly the type of QB meant for Lloyd Carr's offensive system. HCRR appears to have found a great QB which fits his system, 4 Devin Gardner, Michigan fans better hope this kid can stay healthy because I sincerely doubt there's a capable back-up. Defensively, Michigan wasn't terrible they were just the victims of a horrible offense that couldn't sustain a drive or score points on a regular basis.
  18. No, but people who have class and dignity keep the details of their sex lives private. Oh, I forgot...the concepts of class and dignity are completely foreign to anybody associated with Colorado.
  19. The Huskers are coming to Laramie in 2011. And yes I think its a little crazy that our AD was able to get a program like Nebraska in our stadium along with Texas coming to town this year. Congrats on your team beating Tennessee in Knoxville last season... Now...beat Colorado!
  20. Yeah really...it's not like an athletic trainer was fired.
  21. Those are the tiny and petite ones...
