I am referring to attention given to him by his HS Coaches. I don't think we have to worry about other schools poaching him now, he will not be on the radar anymore. However I question the assertions that he will get top-level coaching this year. I just don't see his HS Coaches putting a lot of time to help him develop when he won't be a factor in the team's W-L record. That essentially means that what he is today is what NU will get. Not saying that is bad, he is an amazing talent, but frankly he has some development to do, not the least because of the time he has missed due to injury. People will need to temper their expectations once he gets to NU IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't start coming into his own until his RSo. or RJr. year. Gotcha. They're pretty known for producing QBs so I'm sure they have several that get a lot of attention. Sounds like his relationship with the coaches was a big reason he decided to stay. He will be in a all the varsity practices...the only difference will be the reps he gets with the varsity. Practice is practice...They will have 4-6 QB's

Williams might be having a good camp but his is made of rubber bands and legos. Curry was going to get 20-30 snaps a game (I would guess) Heck most starting DT's only get around 50-60 snaps a game (Unless you are playing EA sports where you just never take guys out!)

For me...I really just love getting to hang out with buddies for home games. I really don't care if I am inside the stadium or not. I love being in Lincoln for the games, love the atmosphere and the feeling of it all but I would rather watch, drink and goof off with my friends.

I get tickets offered to me a few times a year and hardly ever take them or if I do take them I end up giving them to other people. Home games for me are a chance to hit Lincoln with friends and either tailgate or party on O Away games...I go to one a year...the rest are a chance to hit the bars in Omaha with friends.

Which specific posters are you referring to? Can you tell us their usernames so we can let them know that they are being hypocrites please? Most of them aren't on this board. They are on this other board I used to frequent. That board was full of guys that had never been to a Husker game in their life, but they were these "huge fans". A lot of the guys on that board had super boners for Callahan, and have been very critical of Bo, Osborne, and now Eichorst (for not firing Bo). I can second this...in fact...there were many Husker fans on those other sites that are just like he is explaining.

Nothing "REALLY" happened...basically he went back home and got cold feet. He told his high school coach that he didn't "really" commit" and I am sure his high school coach chewed his ass...In the end...his high school coach can't enforce anything when it comes to this and the "he said, he said" story
