    I would add in the day I lost my virginity but that was really not memorable for me or the girl. "Tear down that wall" That might fall under this topic. And like...I didn't know it at the time...but Rocky IV was basically just a "f#&% YOU, COMMIES" movie.

    Oh yeah! I was a little kid...but I remember the principal at my school coming on the intercom and saying that it blew up and that they didn't know if anyone was alive...then we said a prayer (and shockingly it was okay and there was no issues with that)

    Yeah...they are a short bench but in the end good teams don't really play more than 8 guys in their rotation.

    I know we are all thinking it but I will say it... Nude girls on the internet (plus a super slow connection at the dorms at UNL) made for some interesting times! I am going to throw CD's on the list...I was really into tapes (not as much records) but CD's were a game changer...a short one...but still.

    9/11, great call. I didn't think of movies...but When I was a kid one of the Star Trek movies came out and we happened to be by a theater. The line must have wrapped around the entire building, it was unreal. I don't really remember the wedding...I remember when she died. That was crazy huge.

    So, clearly Corona. I don't really count Ebola or bird flu or swine flu. In my life, the only other thing I can think that was this big of a deal was Y2K. Any of you guys got any others? Maybe the housing bubble bursting?

    That is actually a really good idea. I don't know how many Ivy league kids would use it but it should be an option.

      @BigRedN The difference is that influenza only has about a 0.1% mortality rate, while coronavirus has a mortality rate of around 3-4%, and unlike influenza we have no vaccine and few treatments for coronavirus.

      Hey, I've been eye rollin' the media and the coverage of this virus, so it's all good.  To me, there is no reason to create this kind of fear. 

       

      We will see where the facts go.  I think it will be a small blip having no comparison to the flu.

    I have long felt that in a Presidential election year all HS seniors (regardless of age) should have to take a "voting class" not a class that tells them who to vote for but a class where they get to learn about the topics and watch debates and different news stations and crap...then they get to actually vote, at their school. THEY DON'T HAVE TO VOTE...but they can if they want...right in the school.
