    I just try using common sense with this stuff...so Bo is at a baseball (basketball game?) for his kid... There is a "bad call" and bo starts to lose it... He gets so out of control that he is kicked out of the gym/field by the ref/ump...and no one filmed that s#!t??? I mean...when Joe Smith the dad of Tim Smith does that...it ends up on Twitter in 15 seconds...but when Bo Pelini does it NO ONE filmed it? Just like Moos is sprawled out drunk at Lincoln bars and no one filmed it? Come on.

    That links are great! I still think we can or will hear more about the Billy C days and I think we will hear a ton more about the Riley years. Not that there will be something horrible but just more like what a clusterf#&% things were.

    Coach is in place for basketball, the hard part is done. This is just a new boss bringing in guys he likes and wants to work with.

    If I was a cop in a college town it would really take a$$h@!eish behavior for me to give tickets for most of this stuff... Lots of warnings. And I don't mean just for players I mean for college students in general.

    You know what this really makes me think about...how me and my friends didn't get in more "trouble" in college. I think I know one of my friends that got busted drinking in the dorms and had to take a class.

    I agree...it is the players (or agents) job to get them the best deal...not for the heads of the sport to give them the best deal. Just like it is with every other business in the world. I have a buddy that was telling me how his wife and her co-worker made a sweet deal...there were 3 of them working in this office, one left and the position was going to be filled...well the other two went and chatted up HR and said "Don't fill the position, we will take on the work of that third lady and just give us her salary" well the company was happy to do it...but if they did ask for it and push for it, they would not have got it.

    Totally agree...I would compare it to a job. You get an offer you accept it...You are starting in 2 weeks and next thing you know a better offer comes along...more money, closer commute, whatever...what do you do? I am under contract for my job...but there a a few places I would leave my place for...even if I am still under contract. It makes me sick to think about possibly doing that but in the long run it would be best for me.

      I wonder if 1620 may leave the time slot vacant for the time being because I wonder how much longer Severe will be at OWH.  While, I think his OWH does pretty well, the OWH is cutting costs all over the place.  Severe has even hinted at that he wonders how much longer he will have a job at the OWH.

       

      If Severe becomes available after this coming football season, 1620 may come calling.

      Yeah I have started listening to Severe more during my lunch break in the past year. While I follow Husker hoops and CBB news, I don’t have a credible leg to stand on when it comes to Xs and Os and appreciated his CBB opinions. After that, listening to Bahe was more frustrating than enjoyable, he contradicts himself so much

    My site has NU -7.5 at Col...that is a decent sized difference. I think vs Iowa, NU is -3 on my site. Win total still sitting at 8.5 (-115)

    Oh yeah...in fact he was even "kicked out" by the refs/umps...again it happened to be one of those days where not a single other person had a cell phone with them.

    Now that I think about it...there is something fun and interesting about the paying/payment being "behind the scenes" and then reading about it and hearing about it later. Also, for as much as it must go on it really is amazing how few great stories there are about it...SMU...Miami and that one booster...I bet Netflix ends up with a sweet a$$ documentary on it someday.

    I don't think it should be about "fair" I think it should be about what that school wants to spend money on. Bama would probably rather spend cash on a stud QB while MIT would rather spend cash on a stud science student.

    This is a really good point. The rich booster for Miami of Ohio is not going to blow major coin to get their QB out to his car dealership because it doesn't accomplish anything. I would guess what is going to get more and more popular is the old "You know...if you stay at good old State U, after you graduate I can promise you there will be a job waiting for you with us here at State U Cars"

    Not so much a crazy story but I can remember when the skers sucked with BC in charge and then some of the players had their picture taken all dressed up for Halloween after a loss...and the message boards WENT BONKERS!

    I don't understand the tactic. Coach: "You have to commit now or we won't hold a spot" Kid: "Okay, I am in" ---------------------------- Kid still takes visits and doesn't spout off about it on twitter so coach never knows OR he takes visits and coach calls him and says "Why are you taking visits, I told you that you couldn't do that" Kid says "I didn't take a visit"
