  1. What does "not buying in" mean to people?
  2. Technically, Urban Meyer has never led Ohio State to victory in Lincoln. Take THAT, Urban!

I appreciate what the school states they are trying to do with this policy but it may also be an easy way to target certain ethnic groups. It may not be as simple as saying it's a charter, go somewhere else if you don't like it. It's possible they use the policy to influence who chooses to go there. (But I really don't know squat about the racial implications of braids and extensions)

Charter schools have a little more wiggle room with things than a traditional public school. Just a little bit. My friend is opening his in 3 months in California.

errr...Someone should tell this white lady who is suing that braiding and hair extensions is not a black thing. I know Whites, Latinas and Asians who do it as well.

  3. Let us, just for a moment, agree that those players came out to the media, coaches and players and fans...and said "Yeah, we are not playing hard, we are not trying hard because of this new staff" You really think that the staff would play them still? If they did...that makes this the worlds worst staff. Period.
  4. Sadly...the worst argument is that the players weren't playing hard and that there was sabotage going on behind the scenes. It just isn't the case. The players played hard and the coaches did the very best they could. They just happened to have some crappy breaks, like all teams, get out talented at times and out coached at times. It happens. No need to invent some crazy reason why.
  5. And I guess all of Riley's teams at Oregon state didn't care...because he had the same winning %.
  6. A lot of times fans do this so that if/when the beat down does happen those fans can say "I don't know why anyone is freaking out about this loss, we all expected it to happen"
  7. ???? That's precisely what's being done. Look, I'm not saying my views, or what I say, shouldn't be questioned. If I did say my views and thoughts shouldn't be questioned, I'd be Drumpf. But I'm looking at republicans from a broad view, what is happening in states across America, and pointing out utterly terrifying (from my perspective) trends. And the worst aspect of all this is that there seems to be zero objections from rank and file republicans. So if white male, "christian" republican "leaders" are putting forth legislation that codifies hatred, bigotry, intolerance, and discrimination... If even a simple majority of rank and file republicans do not stand up and yell, "This is 100% wrong..." Then, what inference should I draw? Doesn't silence = complicity? MLK thought so
  8. I do think we beat Iowa this year. Should be something that is done every single year
  9. Wait so 2018 is supposed to be the brutal schedule now this one is a brutal schedule so Riley gets a 4 year pass?
  10. I definitely agree with this part of your post. It is astutely observed. So you're going to take all the bad play over the last two (to five) years and pretty much blame Gerry for it. Or at least take it as evidence that no one on the team was even trying. That's quite a blanket to throw. So despite playing half-speed, intentionally sabotaging the team and missing at least parts of several games, Gerry over the last two years was still only one tackle from leading the team over that time and and had 60% more interceptions than anyone else on the team? Imagine how good of a player he'll be now that he isn't actually trying to be bad. I can't wait for the nonsense stop about how the team was tanking. And why did Gerry become the scapegoat? It will never stop. Gerry intentionally became friends with underclassmen so he could infect them so the bad attitudes will continue and the team will tank season after season. It will he anarchy Haha! Love this

  12. There is the start...you just need one team to give you a chance Now get some games on film get to that second contract.
  13. Not really finding humor in someone else's health problems. Humor? I am happy for her that she is able to beat it. Sounds like your mind is in the wrong place. Nice try.... Interesting Some things just aren't funny, sh#t like...poking fun at other peoples health issues for instance. Depends on if someone laughed or not. Sometimes its best to NOT hit the send button Remember that. Please.

  15. Can you give some examples of where acceptance has gone too far? I would say what has transpired at UC-Berkley over the last year would be an example. From not letting white people cross bridges to rioting in the streets. Granted, I could understand the anger that having some of those speakers come to campus would cause, but it was taken too far when normal college students, who might not even support the ultra-conservative opinion, cant cross the bridge into campus. Great examples!
  16. The 20-29 year old crowd finds it offensive...because at the start of the movie the guys are working on the weekend. They would never go for that now. Ha Freak out from some posters in...3...2...1 As someone who had a meeting this week an a discussion came up on how to handle employees in this group... Ha! I have a few on my staff and man...sometimes they crack me up! I found this funny.

  18. My gf has been watching this and she is really into. She's reading the book at the same time : I've been passively watching it (it's a little slow at times) Yeah, I agree. I think that girls like it a lot more. But it is sort of interesting. Yeah, the concept seems crazy, but it's truly not that far-fetched. Cue the Trump haters to tell us why...I kid I kid That lady that is in it seems to be really a rising star.

  21. I want to see Mike Riley succeed. But if the Huskers do collapse and have another 5-7 regular season in 2017...it would be a difficult case to make justifying a 4th year. My expectations for this team are 3 losses or less. Let's start by breaking the 4 loss "curse." You're in for a big let down. New defense and a new QB. These aren't little things. Kinda seems like this will be the first year that we have a QB - No let down from that standpoint Do we? He wasn't recruited out of high school and didn't exactly light it up and lowly Tulane. These unrealistically high expectations are the reason why this board goes ape poop when we lose. Coach Osborne is gone and we're a middle of the road program. We haven't won a conference title since 2001. We are pretty good against Northwestern and Illinois. Not so much against Iowa or Wisconsin. Yes, not so good against Iowa or Wisconsin and last year's game against OSU was the most telling game about this program. Temper those expectations, fellow Husker fans. You'll feel better about the losses. If Tanner Lee won the starting job at Iowa or Wisconsin we would be laughing about it I doubt it, the people saying they are skeptical would probably be saying how Iowa or Wisconsin just found their missing piece while we are trying to decide between two guys with no playing experience. Nah...Iowa and/or Badger fans would be pumped...but we would be saying "Look at the lame Herkeyes...thinking that some QB that sucked at Tulane is going to be the answer for their lame offense"
  22. That's no different than the guy reading a message board just so they can complain about people they think are being too sensitive. Guess what you just did
