Technically you should be right, but I think you give people too much credit. Penn State has been the butt of a lot of jokes this week and they will be for a long, looooong time. I don't know how many people will be rooting for them.

I am sick and tired of this line from Bo and company. How many years in a row will they overlook an opponent and lose (ISU or TxTech 2009) or almost lose (SDSU last year)? Enough is enough. Once or twice in a coach's early career is understandable, but after that it should be a wake up call. You can't take a week off, there are no "gimme" games in college football. Anyone can beat anyone on any given Saturday. Winners don't make excuses, they make plays. Exactly! And why the media and a large contingent of fans continue to give Bo a pass for such egregious performance year after year (over looking unranked teams) is beyond me. It's like we're scared to piss Bo off.....scared we're going to lose him. It's no wonder he treats the fans and media like horse dung. Seriously - "over looking a team" is right up there with "quitting" as the ultimate insult in football, and Bo's teams are making a habit of it. If TO can't have a serious conversation with Bo on this and put him on notice, then get prepared for worse. Yes, I'm sick and tired of this crap. Bo's teams are a reflection of him: Immature, hot/cold and inconsistent. It's not nearly as tired as your shtick.

There are going to be hardships for the innocent Penn State players. That is tragic. It is not of Nebraska's doing. And symbolically showing the players of Penn State what we stand for, might be lifelong lesson, not a punishment. What is more benevolent, setting a good example that will stick in someone's mind for life, or letting them play you a game of football? Was it right to boycott the 1980 Olympics? I think it was. There were quite a few innocents there too. That just seems self-righteous to me. Showing the players what we stand for? I'm willing to bet most of the players at Penn State don't condone what went on. I bet they're as appalled as anyone. I'm also pretty certain they more embarrassed than anyone. Boycotting the game doesn't teach them squat.

How is punishing people who had nothing to do with any of it the moral thing to do?

Failure to provide a full and complete explanation of this (which is currently scientifically impossible, and may never be possible) does not mean that God exists. Yeah it's like seeing a peculiar light in the night sky and saying "welp, must be space aliens visiting from a distant galaxy". Logically, there's no reason to jump to that conclusion.

I figured you couldn't have read much about it, based on your earlier post. It's pretty horrific stuff. I'll admit to not reading most of the Grand Jury report. I don't have the heart to read it. Horrifying. Yeah I started reading it, just couldn't do it.
