  1. Just look at the NFL and how the players fare once they leave the league. Debt and bankruptcy are rampant because of their bad spending habits. Just look at some of the players at the NFL draft. When their name was called they walked onto stage with giant diamond earrings and diamond studded watches worth thousands, yet they don't actually have any money yet. It's unsettling. A lot of them already have lots of endorsement money.
  2. Who would you say is that team?
  3. I'm not going to repeat what I just screamed out loud, but I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I have Tourette's now. Wow that's dumb.
  4. That was actually a fascinating read. You, good sir, are a true gentleman. May the suns of many morns caress your face with gentle enthusiasm.
  5. When has silliness ever stopped an internet debate? Touché.
  6. What a silly debate that would be. Atheism, by definition, is not a religion. True fact. It's not up for debate.
  7. Do you subscribe to atheism? That's essentially just as religious as any other form. No, I don't. And no, it's not.
  8. ^^^^^^^ No. Sense. Whatsoever. Yeah I recognize all the words but...
  9. Between fumbles and INTs Martinez will amass 106 tackles.
  10. The series streak is already as good as broken, and that's pretty sad if you ask me. So it really wouldn't mean much to get it going again, although it would be nice to get that free W almost every year. I hope Gill does great things for that program. I'll be rooting for them as long as he's there.
  11. A friend of mine who is a hardcore Iowa State fan and even more hardcore Nebraska hater said he would put his money on Nebraska winning it, as much as he hates to admit it. I don't know why I felt compelled to share that. So I'll leave you with.. pundit.
  12. My parents never brainwashed me with that outdated mumbo-jumbo, and I've never had any desire to seek religion. Of course I'm only one example out of billions, but it's enough for me to call shenanigans.
  13. How old are you? Serious question. Let's compare IQ's, instead. 165. deal. 166. I suppose that would make me the winner?
  14. btw that list of QBs (in order) was my official projected QB depth chart.
  15. You raise a very good point. I'm not a supporter of either player, I'm a supporter of whoever gets the job, so keep that in mind before I say this next part. If you go back and watch some of the Big 12 CCG, there were times where Martinez got sacked even when protection was good. In football, you're supposed to have the ball out of your hands and to a receiver in an average 2.5 to 3 seconds. The line didn't do him any favors but Martinez definitely held onto the ball too long at times. I agree. I'm not making excuses for him, he obviously has a lot of room to improve on his game, like all young QBs do. It just seems as though we forget it's a team sport from time to time. Eric Crouch made the comment that the game is going to slow down for him A LOT between year one and year two. I've said a few times I want the best player out there, I don't care if it's Martinez, Green, Carnes, Kellogg, Spano, Turner, Starling, or Lance Jeter. Play the best guy. I think that guy will be Taylor based mostly off of Crouch's comments. There's no substituting experience. But Bo has proved he WILL play the guy who gives us the best chance to win by starting Tmart last year.
  16. I find it funny no one even mentions Taylor had ZERO protection and receivers that couldn't get open for the CCG and Holiday Bowl. It's all on Taylor. How many QBs actually succeed under those conditions? Why are so many people convinced Carnes could, no sweat?
  17. I dunno, I'm pretty laid back. Do you think you're indicative of the general mindset of Lincolnites, or do you think maybe you're a little more easy going? I'd go with the latter, based on what little I know of you. I think we've pinpointed the problem: It truly is a horror, isn't it? And how many times have you stopped at light... after light... after light... after light... on the same street? This town intentionally slows you down, as if it's a bad thing to be able to time your lights correctly so that traffic flows. And don't even get me started on the stupid roundabouts they're putting in. When Elmer and Twyla come in from 54 county on their third time driving on paved roads, they're going to be confused as all get-out by these things. Driving in Lincoln is an exercise in controlled rage. I'm surprised there aren't more road rage incidents. ROAD RAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!!
  18. Except you don't have clue one as to whether or not Carnes sucks. Which is why the logic of your Martinez bashing essays falls flat time and time and time again.
  19. Is there any way we could get a pic of the other kid?
  20. I dunno, I'm pretty laid back.
  21. It happens. I wish we had Q last year. +1 More than that I really wish we had him the year before. We reeeeeeeeally could have used him that year.
  22. How old are you? Serious question.
  23. I'll go 10:1 Wilson literally poops his pants the first time he gets steam rolled by Jared Crick.
