  1. I agree with this. You all have wanted a commitment to the running game all year. That happens against an excellent OU defense. Helu got 138 yds on the ground. Sure there were some frustrating calls but the angst over Watson is old.

  3. Before the season started I was worried about the Baylor game because of Griffin. Now I'm worried about it because we might lose 3-0.
  4. so does this mean no Bud Sasser?
  5. enroll at UCLA to play football while he was still with the Radiers
  6. They're spending all their time in practice practicing blocking.
  7. That said, as much as I like Joe Ganz, I can't forgive him for being a Cubs fan.
  8. Well, I only get to one game per year and I'll be at this one. The only home games I've been to that were wins were W. Mich last year and Nevada the year before. (I did go to Mich. St. in Lansing in 97 and the 05 Alamo Bowl but obviously those weren't home games) Sorry, but I'm still going.
  9. Who was the OC for Colorado that called the plays that brought 62 points, 582 total yards (380 rushing 202 passing) that game? Brian Calhoun?
  10. Yes, he stuck around for a little bit after a failed bid with the Bucs. Now he's down at A&M as GA on staff with Randy Jordan and Buddy Wyatt (I think those two are still there). He's married to Sherman's daughter so there's plenty of connections for him. I think he's got a lot of potential as a coach. I'm also glad to hear that Ganz is joining the staff. I know he was on the sideline for at least one of the games this year, but it will be great to have him full time next year.
  11. I always thought the all white uniforms were pretty sharp...
  12. It's just one game. One season.
  13. I always like watching these games because there are a lot of familiar college names out there.
  14. All of them I've asked think Favre walks on water(which I don't) and though Green sucked. Not my opinion, but that's what they all think. Keep in mind, these are all people who work at a manufacturing facility and also believe that they know how to fix problems and I don't(and they'd be wrong about that as well). Wait. These are all Packer fans from the place you work, who know you like Nebraska and that Ahman Green is from Nebraska? Any chance they might be busting your chops? It's been my experience that Packer and Badger fans have great respect for Nebraska. Especially if you show the same respect.
  15. The Wisconsin people I hang out with never thought Ahman was good and were glad he left. But from my perspective, they haven't had crap since. That Notre Lame guy they've got is overrated. I hope he does well, I might actually start watching the Pack again. You and I must know the same Wisconsin people--and they're nuts. Show me a better back that the Packers have used in their stable and I'll show you all of Minnesota's Superbowl rings. (I'm trying to get that dig in as many times as possible before Favre does something like win it for them this year.) Really? All my Packer friends think he's great. They're not necessarily excited to have him back since he's a little past his prime and know that the line sucks. But I even heard some radio guys call him one of the all-time Packer greats. Hard to argue with that since he'll get the team rushing record this year.
  16. If the argument is Lee or Green is more athletic than Zac Taylor, then yes, both of them are. And Taylor was a better than both of them at this point. Taylor was a pretty unathletic player, but I still think he was better than even Ganz. If the argument is Lee is more athletic than Green, that may be true, but I think Green has more tools to work with than Lee. Maybe he doesn't have as much practice experience as Lee but I think Green's cieling is much higher and that should be taken advantage of.
  17. I don't think anyone is giving up on everything and everyone. We're here for discussion-participating in it or reading it. Nothing wrong with that, even if it's a little critical.
  18. Did you say the same thing when Bill was in his second year? I hope so, because that 2005 team was actually pretty decent (disclaimer: that doesn't mean that he shouldn't have been fired in 2007). Analyzing issues on a bulletin board does not necessarily equal smack talk. Nobody here wants to fire your Bofriend.
  19. Dang, you misspelled his name twice in two different ways.
