I suspect that the 320 play playbook doesn't consist of 320 original plays, but many of those plays are the same play with a different formation/motion/offensive shift. That is kind of how the WCO works. So in reality the playbook probably consists of about 70 basic plays, excluding trick plays, red zone plays and long yardage situations. Whether we saw all the plays saturday or not is a different story...

I like the West Coast Offense (when it works). I think we saw its success to a degree last year. It all depends on the ability of the QB to read the play and the receiver to run the right route. However, unfortunately, both of these are something we don't have. I dont think we could run the option at this point with that O line.

Cody Green = Breath of fresh air

Personally, I enjoyed the way Green took risks. I got pretty tired of Zac reading only one side of the field and then throwing the flat route for a 2 yard gain. I was amazed at how Green could make things happen (even if he did throw a pick) The running game was also very poor, but I blame the O line for that problem. I dont actually blame Watson for the problem because once Green started playing, the ball started moving down the field. I think Green should play against ISU. He strikes me as a guy who WANTS to get the ball in the end zone, not wait a three quarters to score. Just an opinion. BTW, I think Chris Brooks is the best receiver on the team.

I actually cant say what went wrong, probably a number of different things... but i thought maybe MU's defese had just figured him out. I remember he would call a play and then audible it at the line of scrimmage, only to miss a pass or go get stuffed after a 2 yd gain.

The play calling is fine. Execution is the problem
