  1. Yes, the negativity does get old. And by your standards how do you say Bo hasn't achieved anything? "Anything less than a trip to the Big Ten Conference Championship Game will be a failure...", didn't Bo take his teams to two consecutive Big 12 Championship Games? Or, doesn't it count since it wasn't the Big Ten? Yes the Big 12 counts. But we should have been in the CCG last year. He hasn't won one yet so he hasn't achieved much except going mediocre. It always seems to be something that causes us to stumble along the way. We should've beaten Texas and Oklahoma but couldn't seal the deal. It just seems we fall apart too many times in pivotal moments in games. Before you start saying Ohio St. if Miller doesn't get injured and forced out of the game there is no way we continue that comeback. So, it counts but not really becase they didn't win it? Or, did Bo achieve something? I'm so confused... No, we should not have been in the CCG last year because the team did stumble a couple times. Isn't that why the game is played? If there isn't next year to hope for improvement, then why be a fan? The off season is awesome isn't it?

  3. It's definately off season... IMHO, I don't see that 'uniforms' have an impact on the ability to win. Some say that swithcing uniforms attracts attention for recruits, yet no mention of winning attracting attention. IF we were in the MNC hunt year in and year out the tradtional uniform would be the icon that everyone would want to be wearing. Instead, here we are, talking about uniforms...
  4. Just look at him still using that back foot... too soon?
  5. HO NOSE... Wolviefan, one step forward, two backward. Welcome none the less.
  6. I'm seeing a trend with our new opponents that is encouraging. Most all have been very appreciative of us joining and have been respectful. Compared to the former opponents it's very refreshing that friendly rivalries can be formed. Badger fan had become one of my faves.
  7. My son's first game was vs the Cyclowns during our fumble-a-rama. Not a good start, though it hopefully can only get better! Though @ 6 yrs old he didn't know the difference and he still talks about it today. Great memories, crappy game.
  8. I wouldn't assume all these tickets were sold to Iowa fans. I'm sure there are many Husker fans whose friends are Hawkeye fans. I know several of mine are. IF I had an extra ticket for the game and wanted to take a friend, it might have been a Hawkeye fan.
  9. He isn't transfering this year? What a relief...
  10. After last week, Rex should be well rested...
  11. Signed. Withholding the type of information for the number of years as each of these people did is rediculous. With no follow-up? How could they sleep at night? Joe asking people to pray for these victims is just a few years late.
  12. Suh! Have you seen Tommy lately?
  13. I find this board fascinating, discouraging and sometimes rediculous. Some on this board forget what a team is and what it takes to lead a team. For some it's all about individuals and who's most vulunerable or hyped week in and week out. Most flip-flopping each week and cant make up their minds of what to belive in. Where's the faith in what we have? Where's the support that builds others and not tear them down? Some forget that a season isn't based on a weeks game only comparisons to year ____ (fill in the blank). So rediculous, there's no comparisons as the every aspect of the game has changed. I'm not originally from NE but moved here about 12 years ago. I had many friends who went to college here and I've followed since, fascinated by the following. Me, I went to the Army and I've seen that some believe I shouldn't have a view or expression about the Huskers because I'm not alum. Very discouraging...yet fascinating. Where I was from it was life or death, nothing between. We lived as a team, died as a team. To see the armchair couch potato fans argue over coaching decisions and/or if Taylor is the right QB is discouraging, yet fascinating. Any time another team gets rolled, it's all about "look at the meltdowns" on their boards. Look in the mirror folks, some of you are rediculous with your meltdowns yet seemed so funny when it's someone else. Instant gratification is alive and well, humility thrown out the door to only live in the here and now. Fascinating folks. When it comes to strenghts and weaknesses few understand to focus on your strenghts. Weaknesses will always have a glass ceiling limiting potential. Last week was not all Taylor's fault as coaches certainly didn't focus on team strenghts. In no way was that on Taylor. If Beck wanted to prove something, he had the wrong mindset. As far as tweets, now that's just lame. For a former "team mate" to express his opinion is only his opinion. He forgets that it was a short distance from a "kick in the shorts" to a "pat on the back". Especially Phildill. He of all people should know about development, teamwork, strengths and weaknesses. Is he that short sighted? Fortunately, he still has a right to expresss whatever he feels, no matter how short sighted or rediculous he makes himself look. Is there a reason most of us would have to look up what team he's on and we all know who Suh plays for? Live and die with your team folks. Lead, follow or get the h_ll out of the way but don't second guess those who've chosen to lead...and you've chosen to follow.
  14. Watching the 1st qtr, I was impressed that the huskers were looking good and could hang, buying into the thought that the badgers just hadn't played anyone. I made the mistake at the end of the qtr to say "The team with the first mistake is going to go down." I think I jinxed us... Wilson is one heck of a QB!
  15. These are all great suggestions, some I had to look up to remember. IMHO it would be a travisty to not showcase at least one play of Suh's. He's done so much recently for the program and the university not to have just one of the highlights included.
  16. Big fan of this board! Celebrating my second post... The last time I was really excited about a running back recruit was a guy named "Burkhead". Have to say I haven't been disappointed and still get excited when he's on the field. This group of backs really gets me going. With all the hype around each of them, I don't care who it is who has better measureables or stats I'm just hoping one stands out as much as Rex.
  17. Is it just me or are the TCU Cheerleaders getting as much air time as the team? First half they were looking way better as well...
