  1. Iv seen film on Austin and I think he will be a very good WR for us. But like I said on another thread his family ties cant be ignored.
  2. Out of everybody left I'd like to see Hill here the most. Good WR and his family package CANNOT AND WILL NOT be ignored.
  3. Or since the days of that magician Phil Elmassian and his patented "Run down field with back to QB and pray the ball hits you in the back of the helmet" style of pass D... dudeguyy- You could be right with the comment about him being the one we wanted most out of the remaining guys. Love the reply huskers1
  4. I really think that we will either over-sign, or make room for kids. I mean if Hill, OO, Josh Reece, Mobley, Burnett, and Malone/Cooper all want N do you see us turning them all away? God forbid, but some kids from our current class might chose to decommit. No inside info on that, so no melt downs.
  5. Wow. I will eat crow on this one because I really did not at all expect him to end up at NU. Not because he wasnt sold on us, because of the lack of space in this class and coaches wanting other players. I would conclude from this that we WILL make room for more kids.
  6. Rumor has it that Joshua was Bo Pelini's top cover corner on the board this year.
  7. From the information that I have gathered from other boards, it is him waiting on us. Not us waiting on him.
  8. It would not surprize me at all if he doesnt end up at NU.
  9. Its us that are slow playing him. The staff would rather have Hill.
  10. Best of luck to him. He will be successful where ever he goes and in whatever he choses.
  11. It will be better at RB. We will have a heathly Rex Burkhead, Helu, and Robinson all with another year in a college program under their belts. We will have at the very minimum 3 WRs on board in this class. I dont believe that this situation will get "worse" next year. How could it? We will have 5 WRs (the three that you mentioned plus Paul and Gill) back that all have another year under their belts. Top Priorities 1. OO 2. Hill/Swigert/Wright/Reese/Slavin-throw Sasser out. Barring some miracle I dont see him ending up at NU. I think we will take Hill and probably either Swigert or Slavin if we get verbals out of them. 3. Cooper/Malone-Saw both on film. Cant go wrong with either. Im not a star gazer at all. 4. Mobley 5. Fill in the blank. I got a hunch that we dont take Harper. If we do, great. Would not surprize me if we didnt.
  12. I dont think he is taking any "un-planned" spots to phrase it well. It said that this has been kept underwraps for quite some time now. I also believe that he will get some kind of discount on fees because his dad is employed by the school. There very well could be some things going on with this situation that we dont know about. You know what I mean??
  13. I dont think that he is at all.
  14. Throw Sasser out of this mix. He said awhile ago that his top choices are KU and MU. Which he is being slow played by both of them right now. I expect to get Hill at the very least and hopefully Swigert. But if Wright or Reese commit I bet that the coaches will make room for them.
  15. This committment has been underwraps for several weeks. So it wont effect the remaining spots. Everything that I have heard says that he will eventually end up at DT. To be honest his best chances of playing are at OL. I have also heard that we will be signing 20 this year.
  16. I think that we will make room for 5 more if need be. It is a great sign that we are now having to chose which players we want instead of having to "settle" isnt it? About the linebacker situation, Victor Barnett will take an official visit with OO for KSU. CB-I believe that Tejay Johnson is still on our board. Id like to get him. Heard he runs a 10.3 100 meter dash. I think that our staff has cooled on Harper. That is no inside info, JMO. We couldnt go wrong with either Derek Malone or Cooper IMO. I want Hill, and Swigert. I think the staff would make room for a Willis Wright tho if he so choses.
  17. Barney's kid has apparently committed to NU. Anyone know anything about this kid? Is he on scholarship?
  18. From watching film this kid can play. I really hope we get him N. Read on another board that Aaron has went on record saying if NU gets Austin that we would be really tough to beat out for his pledge. Sometimes GREAT things come in 3s. Andrew, Austin, and Aaron. =)
  19. Cincy visit kid of makes me nervous.
  20. Sure they dont get many turnovers, but against ISU the defensive linemen blocked a PAT and a FG. That is 4 points that they flat out stole from ISU. We have dropped an insane amount of INTs. Need those picks saturday.
  21. Isnt Bo's area of genious safeties and corners? If I stand corrected this could be a huge selling point for him.
  22. EZ-E, Here's the thread I was referring to ... http://www.huskerboard.com/forums/index.ph...hl=rex+burkhead As a "general comment" ... Always funny how those who have all the solutions to the Huskers problems are also the ones who create "worst case scenario's". Enjoy the read ... just reporting ... you decide after you read the thread. And by the way, I'm not tryint to stir up "crap" ... it does get frustrating sometimes with all "tudes" here and the "no it all" folks. I'm just a fan and am here to support my team and love to read about my Huskers. Sometimes other "fans" can be a real drain on that occuring ... talk about "Debbie Downers" ... and I'm a pessimist after many frustrating losses like V-Tech, TT and ISU this year. SheepdogMark PS. I've followed Rex here in Dallas and was a big fan of us recruiting him ... so I follow his threads pretty close and "friended" him on Facebook. Appreciate the link
  23. I think Austin Hill will be a high priority this weekend. If we land him it would take a HUGE screw up on our part for us not to land Aaron Green imo.
  24. Yeah. Cuz top level guys are not going to commit to a program that doesnt win on the day of their official visit right? There are NO OTHER FACTORS THAT POSSIBLY AFFECT A KID'S DECISION. Notre Dame has proven in recent years that they can sign a highly touted class even in a year where they win 3 games. Callahan proved that he could bring in high quality HS talent without ever beating UT or OU. JUST BECAUSE WE MAY NOT WIN THIS GAME DOESNT MEAN THAT KIDS WONT COME AWAY IMPRESSED.
