Wasnt the 94 defense a bit better than 95? I mean, didnt the 94 defense go thru a 7 game big 8 schedule only giving up double digits twice, and holding Colorado and Kansas St. to 7 and 6 respectively. I just thought the 94 unit was better overall, tho the wyoming game does stick out as a fluke.

So what happens if the chips fall right, some teams lose and both Nebraska and Texas roll into this game ranked 1 and 2, does this game become the most anticipated game ever in memorial Stadium, cuz i remember the 94 Colorado game atmosphere along with that of 07 USC and 01 Oklahoma and i would sure like to have that feeling again.

I wanna say 2002 Texas A&M. With everything goin wrong that season, then bein in a 17 point hole in the second half in that environment, them guys coulda said to hell with it but they manned up and dug out. Ummm, havent we literally been giving away games to texas since the beginning of the Big 12. The most (ONLY) lopsided game was Vince's 03 debut. EVERY other game has been down to THE VERY END, with the exception of the 96 champ game, it went down the final 1.5 minutes.

Actually, a conspiracy theory I had is this was a ploy/smokescreen to get Nebraska out of the Big 12. I think Texas realized Nebraska would never agree to the things UT wanted for the betterment of their university and not the conference. Have Nebraska leave, makes life a little easier for UT. But this is just a conspiracy theory I have running thru my head. Either way, it was time for NU to move on to bigger and better things. 100% agree. Had a thought of this right when the talks began, but now that it's over, my suspicions are rendering true. Texas had one goal, get Nebraska to leave, or get Nebraska to follow.
