  1. Still a lot of time in the game, but dang it if it's double covered like that break the pass up.
  2. We're RS Bondi this year so we have him for 3 years. It was a smart move at the beginning of the year. Now, I have no clue what we should do, but in Week 9 it's too late to pull a RS.
  3. Under threw WR or missed a read depending on whet receiver you are looking at. Passing game off IMO. Think he got hit as he was releasing, or wasn't able to get all the way through his motion. Turner was there, pass was just WAY off. Marlowe with a great catch.
  4. Nice call by Beck, and spectacular block by Bell on the end. Think he ended up taking out 2 people.
  5. 1st- it's still only the 1st quarter. 2nd- The refs gifted that drive to MSU with 2 ticky tack PI calls. 3rd- It's still only the 1st quarter, still a lot of football to play.
  6. Road games have been killing Maher, or maybe it's just been grass fields. He needs to fix the shanking problem though.
  7. Watch the play again, if you're looking at Cotton dragging across the middle, then yes it's intentional grounding and a Safety. I didn't see it the first time, but during BTN replay I saw it. McDermott is sitting at the end of the line and stays in to block, just before the ball is released it looks like he's going out on a route. Since he's an eligible receiver, that's why the refs didn't call intentional grounding. The refs called it wrong, but it was the right call.
  8. Chatelain is really good at subjective pieces, where all the facts are lined up for him. He's very good at telling a story (see his Abdullah/Brown piece last year, and his Stafford piece this year). It's the objective pieces where he starts coming out as a D-bag (see the Martinez piece last year). It's not that he's criticizing the program, we need some criticizism, it's how he does it that is grating. I will say that a lot of things are setting up next year for us to make a run (with the schedule lightening up in conference, Michigan losing Denard, MSU prob losing a number of people on their D and Leveon Bell, also the fact that our hardest games next year will be at home, From memory I think we only play Michigan away). I liek the looks of the Huskers next year.
  9. Just and observation but all are Seniors and Juniors
  10. It was flat and unimpressive because Caputo stepped on Martinez's ankle. That was the first series. Before he got his ankle stepped on, the offense was having a pretty methodical drive IIRC.
  11. On the late hit on Martinez by Michigan coming out of half time, I think it was called partially because the sound popping off the pads when he was hit and the fact that he was on his way out of bounds when it was done. It could have also been on the guy who flew recklessly in at the last second.
  12. It seems like our LB class from last year has been lighting it up on the Scout team. Brown would be a 3rd down pass rush option this year if he hadn't rolled an ankle. I wouldn't be surprised if we went with a 3 down linemen look look next year with Brown taking over Martin's prowler role and Valentine manning the middle in a NT type spot. I'm worried about the Safeties next year, but Harvey Jackson got some PT in earlier in the year and Cooper is the Dime back this year. On offense we lose Burkhead, Choi, and Jackson. That's it. Now Burkhead is a big loss, but we really haven't been playing with him this year either. Abdullah has stepped up in response to Burkhead's injury and Heard and Cross have looked good with their limited carries. It all comes down for the team to get out of it's own way. If we do that, I wouldn't be surprised if next year we're undefeated heading into the B1G championship against an undefeated Ohio State.
  13. Didn't go into Dime at all. If there was a time where there were 4 WRs I'm sure he would've been in.
  14. While our secondary isn't up to 2010's standards, it still is a superb secondary and I don't think there is a team on our schedule that has good enough WRs to beat us the whole game. Penn State has the best offense the rest of the way, but they run an offense with a QB that Pelini has feasted on in the past. If we're able to keep out of our own way and don't shoot ourselves in the foot, I don't think we win by less than 10. But this team is way to schizophrenic to be able to count on anything. All I can say is the next 4 weeks will be interesting.
  15. If you saw he hit by the Washington DB vs the Oregon State receiver last night that wasn't a penalty, there is absolutely no way Mitchell's targeting should have been called.
  16. We did get a couple breaks. They let us get away with a pretty bad PI as well. Did I dream this up or was there a flag on the play that Bell got hurt that somehow disappeared? Offensive holding was called on us that play. Offsetting penalties, replay down. With how bad it looked like Michigan was holding all night, I thought it was a ticky tack call that Jackson let the momentum of the D Lineman take him to the ground. He did not tackle him like the announcers said.
  17. Second half the noise picked up, but the first half if you can here the in stadium announcer thru the tv, then you have a problem with crowd noise.
  18. The only thing about the targeting call that might be why it was called was that fact that Mitchell kind of launched himself. It's still a terrible call that precipitated the sideline call, but I still don't know. The PI call though was the absolute worst call we've seen this year.
  19. Sure it is, but the game was too close to determine whether or not Michigan would have won with him. In some ways it's like OSU last year with the what if?, but we were in a way better position this year than last year when they went out.
  20. That while we got lucky for the 2nd year in a row in a running QB getting knocked out for the game, our defense was absolutely stellar. Our offense really grinded out a win where they didn't play there best but closed it down in the 4th. Our defense actually caught the ball including a highlight inducing catch by SJB. The offense misses Burkhead, but Abdullah can grind out those tough yards. Also our other RBs need to be worked a little more.
  21. We're going to be running this same what if for this game the same as last year against OSU aren't we? A win is a win, doesn't matter how you get it. It definitely would've been more cardiac, but I don't think you just automatically give it to Michigan.
  22. 0 points in the 2nd half that wasn't caused by the refs calling penalties.
  23. What's he supposed to do in that situation? He got absolutely no time and had no lanes to get out of the pocket. He took a sack, But Michigan has done absolutely nothing on our defense after Robinson went out. I like our chances there.
