  1. 20 yard shuttle was 4.08 and Hagg did 6.73 in the 3 cone drill
  2. Helu posted a second unofficial time of 4.42.
  3. Helu with an unoffical time of 4.43 in the 40.
  4. Paul had 24 reps on the Bench Press. Second best out of the WRs.
  5. I don't know if Henery's going to be on the list. But I do expect to see Fonz, David, and Amukamara (who should be in the top 5 and all 3 should be in the top 10). Wouldn't be surprised to see Martinez either, who even with the drop off after he injured his ankle still had a pretty good year.
  6. From what I've seen, it sounds like he expressed his disappointment that Nebraska didn't inform him that the coach had had developed the closest relationship with was being let go/stepping down. The media blew it out of proportion.
  7. I'd give the DBs a B. It would have been nice to get one or two more, but we already have a whole lot of depth in the Secondary (though most of it hasn't been tested). LB and TE should definitely be our focus next year, along with DE.
  8. Outside of Kinnie, I predict that we're going to have a rotation at the other WR. Enunwa and Baptiste being the most prominent, but also Cooper and Gilleylen jumping in and playing some downs. Bell and Marlowe as slot guys with a possibility of rotating in Abdullah, Green, and Turner. Burkhead as RB, Legate as FB (as needed), and Cotton/Reed coming in at TE depending on if it's going to be a run or pass (Reed could also move to that adjuster position, in that we will move him all across the formation (FB, Slot, out wide, flexed strong)). The line will be Sirles at LT and Hardrick at RT. I think this spring things will start clicking for Hardrick (as he will be able to work throughout the spring instead of sitting out, I hope). He'll be an absolute beast out at RT. Caputo is going to start at C, with the possibility of Reeves pushing him (though Reeves is still working through his shoulder surgeries). At Guards, I'd guess Rodriguez and Qvale, but this is the position that will probably see the most rotation on the line. On the D Line, Meredith and Crick are the only two locks. The other two spots will see a rotation of Martin (passing downs)/Williams/Ankrah/Carter at the other DE (though Williams or Ankrah could be Meredith's backup, or it could be one of the DEs we picked up last year). The other DT spot will be between Moore, Steinkuhler, and Rome. We could do a couple of things with our LBs. We could move David over to Hagg's spot (which I'm guessing we will do when we play a team like Wisconsin) with Fisher and Compton starting. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Stafford move up and take that spot when we play and Indiana (a pass first team). CB will be Dennard at one side with Evans starting the season on the other side. Whether he's still a starter as the season goes on will hinge on the development of Jackson. Green, Bell, and a couple others will also challenge for the spot and also being put over the slot. Safety will be Osbourne and Cassidy starting the year as starters. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Smith step back up and start. Stafford could also play a part here.
  9. great news jackson is definitely one recruit we dont want to lose. Def going to be a stud for the next 4 years.
  10. Seriously why are we so focused on a kicker? I mean I know we just lost Henery, but we have a number of Kickers/Punters to make a run at being the kicker next year. Then you add in the fact that we have Jase Dean who was redshirted as a walk-on, and I really don't see the need for a kicker this year.
  11. Hagg and Gomes are going to be mid-rounders along with Paul and Henery (who only falls because he's a kicker). Depending on how fast Helu's 40 is, he could jump to be a first day draftee. The linemen will get looks, but they're more likely to be FAs unless a team falls in love with them. And Prince isn't going below 15. Predicting a good draft by Huskers.
  12. Think Gomes will be a 3rd to 4th rounder. He's a football player and I think he's going to end up impressing some team enough that they are going to grab him.
  13. Can someone explain to me why there wasn't a 10 second run off at the end of the UNC Tenn game?

Isn't that rule only in pro football?

  14. Here's a question: Has there ever been a year where the first Offensive Player and the first Defensive Player taken in the draft went on to win their respective rookie of the year awards? Let alone the 1st and 2nd picks?
  15. All Senior defensive/special teams major contributors have received a blackshirt. Henery, Kunalic, Thenarse, West, and Blatchford(?) received a blackshirt the other day.
  16. Rex is starting next year and there's probably going to be a heavy dose of Robinson early in the year. As the season goes forward I wouldn't be surprised if Green got more and more playing time on offense (wouldn't be surprised if we see Green and Bell returning kicks at the beginning of the year).
  17. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Danny-Woodhead-sells-his-own-jerseys-with-little?urn=nfl-297745 Something that will probably get a couple chuckles.
  18. Maybe Bryant put out the story that he had committed to Nebraska in whichever way he did, but the NU coaches told him to take his time.
  19. Coaches have said he's fast, and watching his high school highlights (the only video we have on him) shows that he has some wiggle. I wouldn't be surprised if he at least took over the return duties that are left vacant by Paul leaving. He was nagged by a couple of injuries this year, and looking at him he really looked like he needed to put some meat on his bones, but I do think he has the physical capabilities that this offense needs.
  20. I'd rather hang onto the two CB recruits we have, then looking at other ones.
  21. Yeah who's Yusef Wade? But I have a feeling that we're going to be hearing a lot of Bell in the future.
  22. I think Kenny Bell has a better chance at being a Wes Welker than Marlowe does. Marlowe seems to have more straight line speed then he does evasiveness. Bell's been said of by the coaches that if he was playing he would've been the fastest WR in the Big XII. Also I'll point out his High School highlights. Mark it down, Kenny Bell is going to be the biggest contributer on offense/special teams from the class that just redshirted next year. I think Enunwa is going to develop into a solid number 2, but Bell is going to provide the excitement.
  23. Kenny Bell, He's going to bring the speed we need from our WRs that the offense needs. Read a story on Omaha.com that had the coaches say that if Bell had suited up this year he would've been the fastest WR in the Big XII. He's going to be great on returns next year at least.
  24. Going to throw a name out there for a player at WR, Kenny Bell. He was mentioned by the coaches in the lead up to the Big XII championship game with the tag that if he was playing he'd probably be the fastest receiver in the Big XII. I'm sure most saw his highlight vids from last year, and I think he's going to be a good one. Needed that redshirt year to heal some ailing injuries and to put some meat on his bones. But I wouldn't be surprised if we see him as the kick returner next year and he's going to be a good one (probably going to take over Marlowe's spots, maybe).
