As opposed to who? It's not an either/or question, it's a question of Colorado's merit. Is the school going to commit to football excellence or not? If it makes it any clearer, I think the same question should be asked of about half the current BCS schools, and the question of whether they belong in Div 1A should be asked of about 3/4 of the current FBS teams. I'm not just singling CU out in my thought process, although they were the only school brought up in the instant conversation. I've been thinking this very thing for the better part of a decade now. Teams like Middle Tennessee State should not be in Div 1 football, they add nothing to it and are patsies for the "Bigger Schools" to schedule for an easy win.

Except the fact that we already have 5 signed DE's in this class... I don't know how much sense having 6 DE's makes. I doubt all of them project as DE's. More than likely a few will be DT's.

I didn't read all of the posts above. Having said that, I believe that the game would have been dramatically different if Green had stayed in. Instead of being a few seconds and a botched kickoff away from a win, we would have lost in the 3rd qtr. From what we've seen of him this year, he is in no way ready for the speed of the game. We'll see how thing go with his development for next year...hopefully he gets better and can be in position to challenge Lee for the starting spot.

If true, this would not surprise me. He is undeservedly under fire for what has happened this season. He is still relevant in the world of college football, why not grab the brass ring and see how it works out. The worst that can happen is that he leave there filthy rich. He gets a few years with some of the "top talent" in the country. If he fails he'll never have to work again. In the future, ND will be the last stop on a coaching career...this way he can build up a nice nest egg for retirement.

I wonder how much (if any) payout he will receive.
