  1. Are they a Catholic school? I believe they are Jesuit, an order within the Catholic Institution. There are a few minor differences in beliefs, but for the most part they are pretty similar. you are correct Saint John's is on campus and they have a ministry studies
  2. Nothing says Nebraska more than a trip to Tractor Supply for a new Carhart
  3. Mizzou and Vandy? Yep. It's Vandy. I can't imagine they'd throw almost a century of tradition away to move to the Big Ten but they are on the big board in the Chicago War room. What possible value for exposure does Vandy bring to the table? I understanding acedemics but, how many sets are on a Vanderbuilt game. And what did FSU do that they are no longer a target? I have been hearing faint rumors, nothing concrete, just that they are off the table.
  4. If your asking the ball would go to the team that made the tech shots. For instance, Penn St makes the free throws and gets the ball out of bounds.
  5. Agree, 3 and 4, use them all the time, but my vagina is getting bigger.
  6. Look, we are not PSU. We do not need a "Western" team to make us feel wanted. Texass would be fine if you disregard the last 25 years of football politics, but my money would be on FSU.
  7. So let's get this straight. Johnny Football (a generic reference to someone) will be trademarked to Johnny Manziel. The NCAA said its OK to keep the money he may get form suing the T-shirt maker. Money he made by the sale of his shirts. This will allow Manziel to put his name on just about anything. However, he would not be able to profit from it until he leaves A&M. Providing he has a career after college would be the only way he can make money off the name. And this guy can't sell his songs, unless he changes his name? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/more/news/20130220/joel-bauman/
  8. I read about all these over heating issues on the fat boy PS3's before I bought it. I decided to tear apart mine the day I got it, remove all the thermal compound they have (white pasty crap) and use Arctic Silver Thermal Compound. Needless to say, mine still works while many of my other friends have had to move to the Slim. Took mine apart several times Reflowed the solder and replaced the thermal compound too, but, the fix didn't last long. To bad, wish I could find something to do with these parts. The more I fixed it the shorter it lasted. Finally gave up and bought a Slim.
  9. The article seems flawed. Saying that no one or few bought PS2 games 2-3 years after production run of the first PS3's is ridiculous. What was the failure rate on the old Fat PS3 anyway, 50% after 2 years? Right around the time Modern Warfare was released I believe. Releasing the Slim without backwards compatibitly surely scewed this number. I played very few PS2 games on my original Fat system but it was a nice feature and at $60 a game to replace my now PS3 games that I still play on top of another $499 or $599, its starting to add up. Much like having to replace my Fat system after it overheated due to faulty production. $399 + $399 (replacement)
  10. Lets all Welcome Ron Prince to the BIG. Maybe Rutgers will be a stepping stone to Iowa.
  11. Be honest. He's a douchebag and the majority of the staff and TO were ok with him moving on. I believe he's a regret in TO's eyes even though he was ok at his job because of who he is as a person. You serious clark? I seriously dont anything about that or anything negative that went on. Care to elaborate? He was an arrogant a-hole that very few players or coaches liked. Most people only tolerated him if he picked them as his favorite and he did this quite often. One of the best stories is how he benched a Sr. LB who was a co-caption of the team Randall Jobman to play one of "his guys" who was either a RSF or Sophmore. He bad mouthed our former starter left and right etc and made up a justification for why the other guy should start. Well we got into the 4th quarter of the OU game and the young guy was getting beat left and right and his head was spinning. So he went over to Randall and told him to get in the game. (hes been riding the bench several games now) and he says to Steele "no thanks" in a few different words and he goes ape sh#t on the kid on the side lines and threatens to kick his ass if he wont get in the game. No one held him back, he looked like a fool and Randall refused to go in. He was also very abrasive toward other coaches and often tried to change the schemes from what they wanted and just plain bad for team chemistry. He was hired because he was a recruiter and he did that very well. Not at all and I too was just pointing out his ability to recruit, only.
  12. What boards? Every thread is locked or no response. They don't seem to believe it. If you have a link, post it please.
  13. try this http://www.mrsec.com/2013/02/ncaa-wont-dismiss-the-accs-lawsuit-against-maryland/
  14. Arn't you really just leasing the program anyway? License renewal is no different than leasing any other product. I too use Open Office, free and has everything I need.
  15. I threw out all the burnt orange crayons in my sons Crayola box.
  16. As you know, From 1989 to 1994, Steele coached the linebackers and during his time in Lincoln, the Cornhuskers went 60-11, appeared in six bowl games, won four conference championships and captured the 1994 national championship with a 13-0 record. He coached Butkus winner Trev Alberts during that time. I believe he was the recruiting cooridinator at that time too, except I think the position was eliminated by the reduction mandated by the NCAA in coaching staff. Could be wrong.
  17. This is tough. The state swimming meet starts Thursday. They need 49% of the schools to not make it before they cancel. The storm has been pushed off until Thursday morning, meaning Friday, Saturday and Sunday could get rough on the Lincoln hotels.
  18. Have to agree here. I've had 2 xbox 360's and 2 PS3's. Both failed after 2 years. My PC has never failed and I can upgrade the parts. The new PS4 would have too be truely ground breaking and cheap, under $400 to even think about a new console. Oh yeah, my computers backwards compatiable, to a degree.
  19. First off, I did not know who the "Dude of WVU" was until someone on this board brought him up in a thread. My info is not from some source, I gleem it from what everyone here says, what others are saying on other boards and use my business sense to make what I think is a expansion plan. Nothing more. Now that being said, I looked this "Dude" up and found out he writes a blog called Mancave. I don't know if he really has sources or if he is doing the samething I am doing, putting together what you hear and adding what you would do if you ran this business, The BIG Conference. Remember, I do this for fun and I will openly admit that I am just guessing. So if you want to read an interesting article written today by the Dude, here you go. It is very similar to what we have speculated on this board. As far as inside sources go, I always default to the "Aquarium Guy". http://www.sportsman...-the-war-drums/
  20. Food for thought about expansion. Fox owns 51% of BTN. Fuel and Speed are being rebranded to Fox Sports 1 and 2 respectively. FX will no longer carry sports. Fuel is currently in 37.6 million television homes while Speed is in 81 million homes. If the BIG should expand, Fox will have the ability to add additional channels to make up for some loss, if any, of ESPN lower tier channels. I don't know how many TV sets from Fuel and Speed already carry the BTN network but it doesn't matter. It gives Fox the ability to offer up more BIG sports. Afterall, the contract is up 2017 and you know Fox and Delany have had conversations on "Where we see ourselves in 10-20 years".
  21. I have to take a shower now....why, why did I listen to that.
  22. I'll try to keep this brief as I got into a lengthy discussion with UM fans. Yes this does protect the school against someone committing just to hold a spot. We saw this happen to us this year. The Hypocrisy happens when you have Brady Hoke say we only want kids of the highest integrity to commit so if they want to visit somewhere else after they commit to UM, "after all, how wouldn't want to come to UM" , pull that schollie and then call another schools recruit, after they are committed, Where's your integrity? How do you trust the flip flopper you just contacted? I think the article made Hoke look like a douchebag and UM fan look just as dumb. ESPN once again set out to bash the BIG and accomplished it in a not so straightforward way.
  23. unbelievable, I left the room to put my shoes on only to walk back in to hear, "We'll decide this in overtime." Are you kidding me!
