  1. Fielding a competitive team every year that fights hard and plays with passion, with a chance at the conference championship every year. Embrace the fan base, respect the tradition, and don't embarrass our program
  2. I don't think any of us hope for the worst, at least I would hope not. We are just tired of seeing this team continue to underperform, and we are sick of the head scratching decisions Bo makes. Trust me I'd love Bo to right this ship and turn us from a national laughing stock to a national contender, but I've seen this show too many times. It's time for a change.
  3. Link? Because I've read several that say otherwise. Helfrich has stated Frost calls the plays... No link...Just a friend that lives up there and is a ticket holder. He said the Scott got it taken away a couple games ago. When they were averaging 600+ yards a game and getting 50+ points? I find that hard to believe, I've watched Oregon and haven't seen their head coach with a playbook like Chip Kelly had so I doubt he's calling the plays.
  4. The dissapearance of Terrell Newby and our running game against Minnesota. Seriously how does he not get one touch, Imani only gets 2 carries, and Abdullah only gets 19. Absolutely mind boggling that we went away from our strength
  5. Oh please no. As a lifelong Charger fan I didn't want to hear that name. I know he is doing good things up at Oregon St. but this guy will fold when the bright lights are on him. He's a good fit at a school like Oregon St.
  6. Philosophical statements can be used according to agenda. For instance, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. We know what happened when we kept a coach around for 25 years......and we know what has happened when we changed coaches every 6 years. Just how long would you like to keep him around without winning anything, and repeatedly being humiliated on national TV? I guess the same amount of time it's exaggerated how we haven't won anything. Osborne went a few years himself with no conference championships, and later had a 7 year bowl losing streak. Bo is not Osborne. Get over it
  7. We've been doing that every 6 years since Osborne's retirement. How's that working for us? Don't even get your question. So are you suggesting that we stick with a coach that is not elevating the program just because past coaching hires have failed? How has Pelini not elevated the program? Do you need to revisit Callahan's record and missed bowls? Yes, he's elevated the program if you're using Callahan as the benchmark, but I'm seeing a team that's been a complete embarrassment nationally. Where are we going? Are you happy with the direction of the program? I'm not, I think changes need to be made. Actually I do like what I see from a helicopter view. Pelini has learned quickly from personnel mistakes he made in the recent years. Our defensive line, while young, is going to be exciting to watch develop. LBs have been an Achilles heel, and I think once the maturation catches up with their athleticism, we could be in good shape there too. On offense, we've been led the past few seasons by a high risk/high reward quarterback with no proven depth there. Hopefully that's changing. I don't think musical head coaches is the answer. How do you not get sick of seeing the same thing over and over and over again?
  8. We can kick field goals, that was a question coming in and Pat Smith did a great job. Everything else we have already seen before and already know.
  9. Keeping Bo around will only bring us closer to a 6 or 7 win season than a conference championship. I really think whatever Bo had when he first came here he has just lost it. Ever since his manhood was clipped after the Texas A&M game
  10. There is absolutely positively no way that Martinez is healthy by next week so no. If Bo puts Taylor out there again then I'm 100% convinced he's delusional.
  11. That's right Bo, Taylor isn't the reason we lost this game. It was your decision to start an obviously hobbled Taylor that lost us this game. If we had started Tommy Armstrong and called a conservative game relying on our staple of running backs to carry the ball 40+ times like we had the last few games we have a much better chance to win. It's just frustrating, Taylor deserves better, the players deserve better, the fans deserve better.
  12. Won't matter as long as Bo keeps putting a hobbled Martinez out there we will most likely lose to Penn State.
  13. Didn't Abdullah average 8.9 yards per carry? So why the hell didn't we keep pounding the ball? Frustrating...just frustrating
  14. Young up and coming coach with swagger, I honestly don't understand why people have such a big issue with Frost. People that have a problem with his attitude need to realize that some of the best coaches in the country come off as jerks *ahem Saban. And to boot he has Nebraska roots. He's my personal favorite for the position.
  15. Sabotage like that could hurt Beck's chances of getting another job in the future. But it makes sense considering he let Martinez throw it 30 times his first game back, when we were averaging over 6 yards a carry.
  16. He's overrated. Don't want. Why do you feel that way? I personally would love having Strong coach this team
  17. If we hire a guy who was inferior in every way to Bo Pelini back in 2001 I will be very unhappy. Next. i want butch davis You want a known cheater? I don't. I would take him in a heart beat. He can build a program, recruit with the best of them, and win a championship You must not be paying attention to North Carolina right now. That program has been run down
  18. He did, but he didn't throw the QB down to the ground violently. He kind of laid him down, not quite like a Suh-Plex.
  19. Un freaking real! The guy left his feet, led completely with his head on a defenseless receiver. That just upsets me #freeStanley (talking about the Ole Miss player, what Stanley did looked completely legal)
  20. http://espn.go.com/n...ameId=332640097 Lol, FIU is the worst team in Division 1 by a mile. Did he really just pull the "FIU" card? haha you wanted a statistically dominating performance there ya go
  21. I don't care that it was Purdue, we gave up 200 rushing yards to South Dakota State. Now we hold a team on the road to 32 yards rushing, and 1.3 yards a carry. Obviously this defense is making progress, I know it won't be an elite defense and no one should think it will. But they are getting better, and with all the young guys on the defense getting better just wait for how dominating they can be in the next year or two.

  23. 1) The offensive line was winning every battle, we have come a long way with our offensive line since 09 2) Abdullah was an absolute man today 3) I think the safety was the first 3 and out we've had with TA under center 4) Every time we blitzed it seemed to result in a big play. I'm not saying go crazy and blitz every play, but our defense looks very comfortable with that aspect 5) Michael Rose was great, start him. 6) Even when the French Interception Machine doesn't get a pick he makes big plays. That bone crushing hit to jar the ball loose was a thing of beauty. 7) Overall I'm happy with what I saw, if our team plays like it did today on a consistent basis we have a very real shot at winning the legends division
