  1. How many people have died because they couldn't get adequate healthcare? How many of those abortions were for medical reason or because of a rape or incest? I believe around 95% abortions are done soley as birth control, so I'll knock that number down to 1,140,000. Does that even it up enough for you? Was just out of curiosity for a fair and balance discussion.

  3. Holy crap I think the Daily Show just read this thread and made tonight's episode based on it. I'll put the link up tomorrow, it was pretty entertaining. They ripped Fox for calling Obama weak and mom jean wearing sissy and Putin a muscular bear/tiger wrestling leader, while before this mess they were calling him a dictator and a tyrant. They made a Fox business commentator look like the jackass he was by giving him examples of how poor our healthcare system is and letting him talk himself into a corner. He used every company line on the subject too.
  4. Trouble is they're already doing this. We really haven't gotten anything at football games other then a towel in the last couple years if I'm not mistaken. I'm not complaining since I don't think we should have to get free stuff to show up just wondering if I forgot anything? Two seasons ago they handed out tons of free sunglasses, as well as the Iron N towels and the 50 years of sellouts towels. They had some more towels this year for the MSU game and I know they had dozens of huge boxes of donuts for the early risers for the UCLA game. Room for improvement but those things don't have that huge of an impact - especially if the student section stays where it is and the people above row 70 in south get nothing That was actually kind of funny, the boxes got past down the rows and the upper rows got nothing of course. I forget exactly when, maybe between the 1st and 2nd, a food fight broke out between south and east stadiums.
  5. Every student has the option, but there's a limited number of student tickets. It's first come first served by Seniority. Basically Grad students seniors, juniors and some sophomores get East stadium (the sideline tickets) and lazy juniors, unlucky sophomores and freshmen get south stadium (the corner endzone). All seats are GA as of 2007. And you can't get from south to east unless you go all the way around the stadium (and technically have a wrist band, but I don't think anyone really checks that).
  6. Given al jazeera a try yet? I've only watched about 15 minutes of it, but it seems somewhat promising. I have, but only on Twitter. I don't watch TV news, so I wouldn't spend time watching their channel (do we even get it in Lincoln?). I glance at their headlines, but they're not reporting anything I don't already know, so I haven't clicked through to an article yet. CNN.com is still my primary news website if I go to an actual website, but mostly I get my news from twitter and reddit. Indeed we do, with Time Warner that is.
  7. I don't think a lot of people are aware of this, I know I wasn't. With all the rhetoric out there all you hear is China owns the largest percentage of our debt . But in reality they only own 8% and are still behind the Fed and Social Security Trust Fund in percentage. I guess you would say they're the largest none US government affiliated owner of debt?
  8. Been craving some bourbon all day after having a couple glasses last night. I hardly drink, and never drink during the week. I blame NUance for this.

Ha ha! I don't think anyone could out drink Nix. Funny that he was best friend of Winters, a teatotaler.

  9. So you can shoot or stab me or something? Stab you with his dick? You'd like that wouldn't you?
  10. I thought it looked a little more like the YF-23, but they're all really similar looking jets.
  11. Good stuff. My parents got me the bluray box set of BOB and The Pacific a couple Christmases ago. Watched all of BOB but only got a few episodes into The Pacific before life and general depression set in. The Pacific definitely isn't as "cheery" as Band of Brothers, just everyone dying it seems like. I've read Ambrose's book, which I like, and Beyond Band of Brothers which was also good. Beyond had some leadership lesson I tried to take to heart and offers a great perspective from Major Winters . Might have to go back and read it again to refresh my memory.
  12. wifi, so that I maybe able to unlock the secrets of his naturally strong family and create my own brood.

It was alright btw Foppa. First time I ever tried it in the oven and it was little over cook, but not bad. Far too cold to grill right now.

And a bourbon float for desert! Lol

  16. There really is nothing wrong with that. There is something wrong with the current version of the affordable care act but when the right simply wants to obstruct the left and continually call votes to repeal the act, which will fail for the foreseeable future, instead of fixing it what's a guy to do?
  17. I don't know what exactly changed either, but as far as the eye test we just looked like we were getting after it more. We just looked like the old Blackshirts a bit. Guys flying around and getting to the ball. The Michigan game comes to mind if any of you ever get a chance to look back at that one. We were just phenomenal on defense I thought. There were bright spots against Michigan state til' that Cook found his rythym towards the end. I think field position influenced that score quite a bit so one wouldn't think we played well on defense, but actually it was special teams and offense that sucked. I don't know, there were other games too, we just looked different I thought. We were certainly more aggressive than we were during the UCLA game. I remember going back and watching that game to see how many times we blitzed and I think it was maybe twice in the first half and that was it for the game.
  18. NFL.com What a pu$$y! How can a man that size have anxiety issues? This is a grown man in the NFL! He needs to man up! Someone needs to teach him a lesson! I hope you're not serious...
  19. Seriously? Comeon man! You know you can't predict that this program will fail just as much as they can't predict it will be a success with a coaching change.
