Agreed but I worry about the B10 being left in the dust and the only major conference without 16 teams or left without many attractive options like Rutgers, Syracuse, Pitt. Maybe I would like to know that they have a plan in place and are not just sitting back doing nothing. An SEC with AM, FSU, Clemson and Missouri is scary and there are not many teams the B10 could add that would keep them near the level of the SEC. I wouldn't worry to much. Remember last summer when Big 10 was suppose to go to 14 or 16 but stopped at 12. According to the reports those talks started in the Big 10 long before it was ever rummored about Nebraska or Missouri getting the offer. I have a good feeling that Delaney and the Big 10 office started shortly after adding Nebraska on who they will offer next to expand the conference.

I agree Notre Dame will get in regardless just because of their prestige. But as stated before it'd take some major peer pressure to do it. When/If that happens could you imagine the melt down they will have just cause their football team would no longer be independent.

Texas doesn't fit the culture of the Big 10. Plus I don't think there would be enough room for them and their ego to fit in comfortably. Plus they have now ruined 2 conferences. So the question is why give them another chance.

I haven't followed this to much. But I don't see why they dropped football. From what I've seen and heard of them they were a decent program.

Their roster has 6 qb's listed 3 freshmen, 1 redshirt freshmen and 2 sophmores. We are their 3rd game of the season and 1st away of the year. Theres very few places you can concider harder to play an away game then in Lincoln. It will be even worse being a sophmore and more than likely first away start of your career.

I didn't realize that the SEAL teams use MP7s now. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'd have to say he'd either talked to the SEAL team and people in the White House/Pentagon for his information with how detailed it was. Or he's just a really good story teller. Either wait as I read it kept thinking I hope they make a movie off this article. As for the MP7's I spent time in the Army, which is obviously not the Navy or the SEAL's. But I seen like 2 or 3 officers carrying MP7's instead of M16A2's or M4's. So i'm sure they are starting to be used more and even a choice for the SEAL and other specialty teams for awhile now.

That can't be true, because it's not allowed. We signed over our TV rights to the Big Ten, and they don't do PPV, so it couldn't happen. It's an oft cited rumor, but I haven't seen anything from the university that mentioned PPV. That said, the TWC issue is over, and they're getting the BTN on lower tier in a couple weeks. Everything will be fine. UT Chattanooga (2:30 central) and Fresno (6:00 central) will be on the BTN. Yea the Timewarner issue is a done deal now which is good. I wanna say I read it in the newspaper or heard it in the news or something.

I'm not sure if this was in the link up above as I didn't click on it. But some of the confusing about our games on ppv are coming because of the Timewarner hold out. During that time it was announced by Big 10 it will not release Nebraska home games to the BTN to be aired on tv until the situation was resolved. UNL did not want the fans to go without being able to watch the home games on tv that was not picked up by CBS/ABC/ESPN and VS. So they stated those home games will be broadcasted on PPV so we the fans can watch every game. Since that has been resolved I havn't seen anything released that states all games will be on BTN unless picked up by other stations. But I'm sure thats how it will be and no games on ppv since that was just a back up plan.

This the same Iowa that lost to both Northwestern & the dominant Minnesota last year? 2-3 on the road in 2010, and they're coming to Lincoln? This the same Nebraska that lost to Iowa State 2 years ago and almost lost last year? And yet I seem smart enough to figure out that Nebraska truly is significantly better than Iowa State even though the games against them the past 2 years in isolation wouldn't lead someone to that conclusion. I agree with that to a point. The last two games when they beat us in Lincoln they played a good game and believed in themselfs. Nebraska didn't play that great and had 8 fumbles. I don't care who you are if you have 8 fumbles lost like that you will not win unless the opponent has 9 fumbles and/or started their pep band on the field. Last years game Iowa State again played a good game, so did Nebraska. The reason why it was close and came down to the wire is cause Iowa State had some help from the refs in the game. With out the refs I'd say the game would of probably had a 14 point difference at the end.
