  1. Although it's funny, I'd stay away from that as a "slogan" - it's pretty lowbrow and we can do better as Husker fans.
  2. He forgot the "1" It should be why Ne1 (as in anyone) would win against Washington.
  3. Stole my sentiment LOL What does that make Akron? The old folks home backups?
  4. UW started out slow, but they are looking good right now. Even their D (which is their weakness) is looking stout against Syracuse.
  5. Watching Locker throw his Freshman year was like watching someone throw with his opposite hand. Now he is the projected #1 pick in the NFL draft. Give it time. He is a Freshman.
  6. Remember guys, before you start jumping, Idaho went to a bowl last year. It's not like they are Multi-Directional Middle State U or anything. They can actually play some football. Two years ago, they beat Washington at Washington. Things will be shored up, I am not worried.
  7. For future reference, you can always try 1150AM KKNW here in Washington. I've never had a problem with them. http://www.1150kknw.com
  8. I don't think he remembers what Locker looked like throwing the ball as a Freshman and Sophomore. Now he is a projected #1 NFL Pick.
  9. You don't call Texas, UTA do you? It is NU. End of story.
  10. It's tough. The Huskies have been overly hyped this year. Even my friends who normally wouldn't go to Husky games are going to this game because they think they will pull the upset. Like Seahawks tix, it is now the "cool" thing to go to Husky games this year, but if you wait just before the game, I am sure the prices will go down like Seahawks tickets.
  11. Think that is weird, how about Bellevue West High School (Nebraska) and Bellevue High School (Washington) both being purple and gold with the same fight song, although one is the Thunderbirds and the other is the Wolverines. Another stupid fact is the ZIP CODE for Bellevue, NE is 68005 and the ZIP CODE for Bellevue, WA is 98005. ...and now you know
  12. He was Ty Willingham's prized recruit in 2007. However, he never "filled out" to his potential and has been quite disappointing for the Huskies. The reaction up here has been pretty indifferent because Middleton has been so frustrating.
  13. One of the biggest winery hubs in the Seattle area is in Woodinville. They have a ton of winery tasting rooms there as well as the Western brewery for RedHook (their other brewery is in MA I believe). The RedHook tour costs $1 (because you can't give away alcohol in WA State) and is a lot of fun and you drink quite a lot. edit: here is the web address: http://www.woodinvillewinecountry.com/
  14. If we could get enough people to commit, I could get my friend to open the bar for Huskers fans only on Friday night. The bar is downtown by Qwest field.
  15. Surprised Carroll didn't take a flyer on him, given his connection to Pelini and the Seahawks need at S.
  16. Basically, they admit that the Huskers dominated so much that the backups were in a lot, and gave up points. Something smells rotten.
  17. Carroll already has Seattle wrapped around his finger. The Seahawks will never win anything for a long time.
  18. Locker missed almost the entire 2008 season because he shredded his thumb. He still has multiple pins in his throwing hand, so I would steer away from anything with the word "hurt" in it.
  19. IMHO, it is pretty classless and not something we would do as Husker fans.
  20. Where did you get this from? He is only on No. 2 and he has Ryan Broyles at #5.
  21. He cannot, and it's not even close. Locker is a pocket passer with just-above-average scrambling ability. He's not anywhere near Crouch's running ability - different in every way. Locker's first step is lumbering, not explosive. He's got in-line speed but nothing remotely close to Crouch's elusiveness. It's an absurd comparison. Actually, it is the opposite. He is a runner, and only under Steve Sarkisian has he started to stay in the pocket. Locker runs between a 4.4 and 4.6 40 time, very explosive, and can lay a hit. Unfortunately, I have had to watch UW games way too much.
  22. Locker is much better than Huard. Huard was a statue in the pocket. Granted last year under the new head coach (Steve Sarkisian - former USC OC) Locker did not run at all unless it was a designed running play, Locker still has very good mobilty and is very dangerous. He almost beat LSU last year by himself and beat USC without a defense.
  23. The biggest problem with the UW team last year was their lack of defense. The defense could not stop anyone. Locker still has a hard time throwing on the move and doesn't have a great pocket presense yet. Collapse the pocket and NU will have their way with Locker. Give Locker time and he will cut up a defense.
