yea that was my first game and sadly my only game in lincoln and it was freakin awesome when the stealths flew over

i thought the k-state fans were the worst fans i have ever been around, before the first quarter was over i had a ksu fan screaming f*ck nebraska and f*ck you right in my face and then early in the second quarter he tried to push me but fell and push an older lady who was standing next to me in the isle and she was a ksu fan! i thought most of them were very classless! my girlfriend goes to ksu and after last night she swore her allegiance to nebraska because of the way we handled ourselves at the game

one thing that scares me is coach snyder, he always seems to find away to get his players ready to play in big time games.

k-state worried me more before the season started then they do now. they are extremely one deminsional and they havent play anybody. yea they beat ucla, who happend to get shut out by stanford! and k-state didnt seal the win against them until late in the game. when the huskers pull into manhattan the wildcats are gonna run into a top 10 team who is rolling and they are gonna have a rude awakening. dont forget bo doesnt like coach snyder after they ran the score up on us that one year, and he will have his team ready to play

that last group will get fixed, our offense sputtered in the 2nd half of games that were not even close, look at wisconsin against san jose state. they played a lesser team and didnt take them seriously, ou did it last week, it happens. the fact is that when our schedule gets tougher bo will have his team ready to play 4 quarters. things will get better.

Flat wrong. I feel like we can celebrate Martinez's debut without having to put down a guy like Zac that gave his all for us last year. But to each his own. agreed, the fact is all of our qbs work their butts off day in and day out, they all deserve a little respect and will do their best for us when their name gets called, and thats really all we can ask of them

k-state beat ucla today, and yes daniel thomas is a stud but i was not impressed by the wildcats, i was worried that this team might upset the huskers as its the game before texas but now i am not worried. idk if anybody else watched the game but their o-line will get dominated by our d-line. and even our offense from last year could have scored on their defense. thats my thoughts on the game anyways.

i know its d2 but pitt state university in pittsburg kansas has a thing they do called the gorilla walk and fans line up on both sides of the team and get to shake hands and see the players up close as the team walks from the locker room to the stadium. its pretty cool, and then after the game they let the fans down on the field so they can interact with the players and the players eat it up. after every game win or lose you will see the quaterbacks playing catch with little kids. its a pretty cool thing they do

yea this was a bad play on suhs part, but chances are he wont make a play like this again, he is a smart player who will admitt he made a mistake and he will move on and learn from this experience. suh was a class act while he played for the huskers and there is no reason why he wont be for detroit.

wow that was absolutely powerful! suh is gonna tear some heads off for real in the pros!

so i will be making the trip to manhattan to see the huskers play and i was wondering if those of you who are making the trip as well want to get together and party before/after the game, idk anyone else going and i would like to get to know some of my huskerboard brothers! any ideas on how we can somehow all of us huskerboard members find one another and show them purple wearing pansies how real football fans support their team?

Seemed like the better team? Remember OU lost head to head to Texas on a neutral field? OU was a great team that year, but Texas proved on the field it was better. and about the :01, it was done for you guys in the same situation in 94. Things like that have a way of going around, sometimes your team is the one catching the break, next time your team has the breaks going against you. In both the 94 Orange Bowl and the 09 CCG it was the correct call. I don't get why there was (and I guess *is*) so much whining, crying, tacky looking banners flying over stadiums about the 2008 scenario. Didn't Texas lose to Texas Tech that season? Wasn't there a 3-way tie? Doesn't Texas Tech also have the right to whine/cry/fly a tacky banner as much as Texas? (Rhetorical questions, no need to answer them) Rules are rules. If Texas wanted to win the division, they shouldn't have lost to Texas Tech. I know rhetorical questions, but I'll answer anyway. Yes we lost to Tech and it was a 3 way tie and I'm not making the argument that Texas should have been in the CCG. ( I wasn't a fan of any of the banners flying but banners were flown by Tech and OU fans as well.) The question was that OU seemed to be a better team, my point was Texas was better than OU in 2008 and proved it on the field. sure texas was better than OU but Texas Tech was better than Texas and they proved it on the field. And OU was better than Texas Tech and proved it on the field. See its a giant circle. OU deserved to be in th CCG because of points, sure Texas beat OU but not by much, and yea Tech beat Texas but not by much, BUT OU destroyed Tech and had the greatest margain of victory. That is the best way to decide it in a three way tie, who kicked the crap out of the other team the worst and OU for sure was that team !

How did that hype machine turn out? i totally agree, and thats a great point! im just hoping we dont go into this game thinking we will roll them and have to come home to lincoln with our tails between our legs! but i dont think bo will let that sorta thing happen after last years isu mishap

memorial stadium holds more than 81k, when i was at a game a few years ago it had 85 plus there

the biggest problem with this game is the hype surrounding it, usually a lesser team doesnt have alot of hype surrounding them, but washington does because of their qb, and this kinda hype can cause a team to play beyond what everyone thinks their capable of because they become confident. and if you let a bad team hang around late in the game and they are confident then they will beat you. just like isu did last year, they hung around us and became more confident as the game went on and did just enough to beat us. imo this is not a team to be taken lightly
