  1. Alex Lewis will be eligible?... for what? Probation? Parole?
  2. Everything I've heard says that holding on to the weight they HAVE managed to hang on Gregory is a problem. Not sure how they would add more in time for the draft....
  3. Sheeessshhhh.... all of this makes me certain that the Ogallala Aquifer needs immediate testing for massive lead and nitrate contamination.
  4. What I don't get is why when the "small vocal minority" of fans/media dorks do the things that piss off the coach and team till it reaches the point he calls them out on it, the "vast majority of loyal fans" jump up to be offended. Are you wannabe victims needing to be oppressed? If you heard someone yell "Down in front" while you were sitting, would you jump up and cuss them out for yelling at you?
  5. According to the assumption by officials that all athletes are superhuman...is there truly such a thing as an uncatchable ball provided it leaves the QB's hand at least 2" off the ground and travels at least past the end of his cleats?
  6. I agree with the stance to honor scholarships, but I had a question. If a player is physically unable to play such as Darlington's situation,( can or is) the scholarship be shifted to allow the team to offer an additional scholarship under the 85 limit? Seems like with the increased focus on risks of lingering head injuries that teams should not be punished for taking players best interests to heart. Would this be seen as an unfair competitive advantage?
  7. If officials could be influenced by sitting down to "work out a way to repair the relationship" then they have no business being officials in the first place. It smacks of tampering and they are supposed to be completely impartial to begin with.
  8. I cannot wait to see VV and this guy buckling offensive lines!
  9. The situation involving eligibility for OSU players in the B1G championship game is still being discussed between league officials and the university according to Urban Meyers. Translate as league officials have yet to finish sucking the sweat out of Urban's dirty drawers before they fully endorse the wishes of their only candidate to the BCS championship. On the upside, "chickensh%t" is now the $10,000 word of the week!
  10. There you go....GROUP HUGGGG!!!!!
  11. Looking like big upset weekend...Bama goes down...SoMiss wins. Crazy. As for national images, I love how the OSU and Mich teams decided to go completely "gangsta" on each other. Helmets ripped off and used as weapons, punches galore. Big 10 has got to be concerned over Bo swiping at a ref with his hat...makes him look like a sissy-boy.
  12. After feeling sick over your angst, I've decided to liken it to broccoli. If I pour enough salt on it, I can stand it...hell, I may even grow to enjoy it.
  13. The players seem able to put up with it everyday...so if a group of 18-22yr olds can manage, what's your problem?
  14. 1. Move Els to the proposed Recruiting Coordinator spot. If recruiting is his thing, as they claim, then make it his permanent focus. 2. RKIII new QB coach...seems to be in the works already. 3. Prepared statements for press conferences, screw the Q&A...just turns into a monkey sh*t fight anyhow. Want questions? Ask for one on one interviews away from the circus. Obama gets away with it, why can't Bo? 4. Hire new LB/ST coach who can assist Bo when needed with LBs, but primarily focus on ST. For what Bo expects out of his LBs, they deserve the extra attention. 5. Full contact in practices. Seems the only practical way to cut down fumbles. Get guys out of the habit of carrying the ball as if they won't be hit. Immediate punishments for turnovers in practice will send the message. Yes, you risk injuries in practice, but it is easier to gameplan around an injury that happens in practice than one in a game.
  15. Not sure, but it could be Eichorst subtly delivering the message that he will not be caught up in fan/media hysteria. That decisions will be made on his timetable and based upon his criteria, now and in the future. Or as Bo might say "I'm in charge so sit down and STFU." Safe to say their will be lots of speculation over the statement but he seems to keep things up in his head and out of the public eye. It would suck to play poker with this guy.
  16. 1. Valentine.. another year and Kaz will need to muzzle him in public..for the safety of pets 2. Michael Rose..learning real fast 3. Stanton IV....gonna break Armstrong's heart 4. Moss...seems real tired of being pushed around at LOS 5. Gregory...has to take it to next level because teams will be looking out for him

I'm not terribly proud of my actions, though it was a beauty punch (right cross,1/4 rotation at hips), I lacked the words to express my frustration at the situation. If you can't understand that then you have more than likely never taken a position unless it was publicly endorsed or completely anonymous. I'll deal with the consequences for my actions among my family members and the lawyers will have to scrounge elsewhere. I'm ashamed for what my actions meant, to me, and the anonymous scorn or anonymous repulsion will mean nothing due to my ...anonymity. The point was...when people break, do you ever feel that perhaps you took it too far?

I've been a Bo supporter from the beginning, but now I'm thinking that his moving on might be for the best. I think he deserves better than what has been offered here. There's some kinda sickness here and it's gonna kill this program. Some fans have been up his a$$ from the beginning and now are mortified that he snaps under the pressure put on by them and media ghouls. The party I watched the game at had Iowa and NU fans. Did the Iowa fans bug me? No it was the NU people rooting/cheering for the mishaps. Made me feel sick to be a part of "Big Red". If Bo's actions represent us all, why are the "bad fans" considered to be a small, separate part? As it ended, some guy in a Crouch jersey hollered out "Buh Bye Bo!", ...so I punched him in the jaw. Dropped him right into a coffee table and it was the best I felt all day. I haven't laid hands on a soul in 20yrs, and yet it just felt right...and that's so wrong. If Bo is let go, I pity the fool next up for the special treatment afforded by the "greatest fans in college football". I think we have more work to do than just replacing a coach.
  19. Only two IU posters isn't surprising, it's cold, and a real hassle to drive the lawnmower down to the Rest Area to use the free WiFi..
  20. Since officials are to be considered "part of the field", that's what they say when they interfere with the play, what penalty could possibly be called on a pulling guard or downfield TE who goes Zebra Hunting on the play following a bad penalty call?
  21. I'd say he's gotta be a bit exhausted, this season's been rough. The use of "them" in his comments was relevant, but not a surprise. If you haven't been paying attention, Bo's focus of concern has and always will be "them", not him. Maybe you've been too focused on predicting the next coaching change or become calloused to the concept because of the way Callahan handled players with the same emotion an auto mechanic shows when changing a set of plugs. Bo won't/can't do that, that's who he is. Even the criticisms of him matter only to the extent that they affect his players. Speculate all you want over coaching changes, but I'd say he's earned the right to name his own staff. The only obviously needed change (aside from ST work) needs to come from the fan-base's expectations. Not the fact that they want to win championships and to be regarded as successful, but in the way we deal with it when we don't get what we want immediately. Everything from the color of shirt he wears on a talk show to the "mean faces" he makes when disciplining his players or arguing with refs, has been an used as an excuse to fire him and put salve on the case of Big Red-ass fans suffer from. Like spoiled children. I don't know about anyone else, but the best part of the '94 championship was getting by all the troubles on the road to get there. Years of troubles. That gave it all the worth. It will again for me.
  22. Since we're shaky on receiver's health also, maybe more multiple TE sets. Could help with edge blocking in run game too.
