  1. He spent more time in the NFL than he did at NU! Let the NFLPA chug this cup of hemlock.
  2. People fixate too much on the crystal trophies IMO. More impressive to me than the three trophies TO brought home was the list of guys who come out now and say "When I was 19 I was borderline FUBAR and Coach got me turned around in life." That's the important part for me. I can't know if Bo will get his trophies but I feel confident he'll get his list of positively influenced young men.
  3. Line play that week wouldn't have made anyone look good. Injuries are starting to worry me and I'm scared we'll be "bled-out" before the end.
  4. Hoping this gets to the players.. That Lewan is considered some sort of poster boy for UM's program says all you need to know about it. Any loser that threatens to use his junk as a weapon on a girl should be...permanently disarmed.
  5. Why is this nice to hear??? A coach with a "crappy" season wants to come coach NU? Oh boy, sign him up! I suppose this is the other end of the bell curve that thinks Mark Richt wants to dump Georgia and head for Lincoln. Both ends should go back to licking windows and chime in when they find one with flavor.
  6. I think Paps farted. Bo's facial expression tells the story because Paps relieved himself and there was a lady present who happened to be in the line of fire standing behind Paps thus why Bo looks pissed and embarrassed. Paps facial expression is like "Oops my bad didn't think it would be that loud and smell bad either." We have a winner!!! Mystery solved

Kinda funny how some folks are annointing Armstrong as the answer to our problems already. In his one start he did things that people crucify Martinez for doing. 1) He threw passes into coverage when other receivers were much more open. Threw into a crowd of 4 defenders once when man was wide open down field. 2) Failed to protect the ball and fumbled on first contact. Don't get me wrong, I think he's got a ton of upside yet to come, but let's let him develop a bit more before calling him the second coming of Touchdown Tommie.
  8. Making too much of it... Know what a Stress Ball is?..JP is Bo's stress ball now. First he had Ekler to chew on and scream at, then it was Carl (who I thought was going to start up a brother-on-brother fight a couple times, ala J & C Peter), then it was Barney. It's just JP's turn because R. Brown has that scary Ring of Jesus Fire thing that Bo won't mess with. It means nothing in any real sense.
  9. Speculation can end now. The new Mystery coach being added to the staff is....the aquarium guy. It was the logical choice. 1)He's had his thumb on the true pulse of Husker football for over 15yrs. Nothing escapes him, no matter how trivial. 2)Bo already trusts him. After all...fish are family. 3)He has a deeper knowledge and understanding of the vital importance proper pH plays in the circle of life.
  10. No B.Steinkuhler...UW o-line showing a bit more spunk this time. Knowing the gap assingments from prior film.
  11. First of all, comparisons to T Frazier are not what this kid needs right now. As to the like/dislike/respect factor Tommie had with the team, from what I've heard the "like" came after much of the success, sometimes years after. The respect preceded it because he walked the walk and wouldn't be there if he couldn't do that in TO's eyes. The "dislike" I've heard about stemmed from Tommie's habit of salvaging broken plays or missed assignments into big gains, then promptly coming back to the huddle and calling out the offenders for putting him in that position. Not so sure TMartinez carries that kind of buckshot. I'd pay money to watch Tommie Frazier break down game film with the current starters on offense sitting in the same room.
  12. The name of the game is MISDIRECTION! And as you can plainly see by the fact that no one seems to look like they know where they're supposed to go or what they're supposed to do, Watson is excelling in all areas.
  13. Had to say Iowa State. They are doomed to the deep, damp corner of the basement in the new Big Leftovers (formerly BigXII). Break up of conference would have let them go to the MAC or ConferenceUSA where they would have been a better fit financially and athleticly. Instead they are locked into a conference they will never, by design, be on an equal plane with financially.
  14. Went with Lee...reluctantly? Hopefully? expectantly?..not sure of the exact word. I just know he's capable of better than the showing last year and he will have to be effective passing to open our ground game up for than 3-4 hard yards. Offensive needs a leader and that leader has to be QB in Wat's system.
  15. To their favor, Houston did have a pretty good run in the late 80's and early 90's. I see Houston as being a lot like TCU. They may not be tough but they'll play you tough and every once in a while, they'll trip you up. well, they are a big school, so i think that means that once they do get going, they are more likely to be stable. just my thought. Mind over matter..I could care less who they add or snub. It doesn't matter so long as we are free of the "Texas Entanglements" that are popping up. Same problems SWC strangled itself with. No surprises at all that every school from University of Houston to Corpus Christi Institute of Pole Dancing is banging on their political connections to get a seat at the table. All the wink, nudge, and elbowing going on could turn Texas into the largest mosh pit on the planet.
