  1. Buzzfeed has published what is reportedly the 35 page collection of memos referenced in the CNN interview.
  2. Also that his former campaign manager Paul Manafort was on the payroll of a pro-Russian political party in the Ukraine.
  3. Skepticism is fine if you have some basis for it. However, he has no rational reason to be believe that vaccines cause autism given the scientific data we currently have. This appointment is similar to appointing someone who believes water causes cancer to lead a commission on water safety.
  4. Well that's too bad, because he's terrible. No he's not. He's a sophomore working on his game. I think he's a good player and would be happy to have him back but I'm not convinced that he will be back. He's struggling to crack the rotation this year and I think it is only going to be tougher for him to crack it next year.
  5. Seen on Twitter (local journalist probably) that there is expected roster "movement" after the season, so maybe room for another. I could see McVeigh moving on.... Fuller as well.
  6. Our basketball team is going to have more talent next year than our football team. Probably the first time that has happened before. Interesting way of looking at it. If you extrapolate these 13 players out to compare it to 85 on the football team, It would be similar to 6 30 49 or lower We would probably be very happy with that on the football team. However, the question is (when comparing the two sports) which do you think will be closer to playing for a conference championship next year? I'd give the football team the edge due to the division set up. If the football team was in the east division, I'd definitely give the basketball team the edge. If we were to look at how both finish overall in conference power rankings/standings I'd probably project a similar finish for both but even there the football team is aided by how top heavy the conference is right now.

  8. Which is exactly why you should stop getting your news from FoxNews and conservative talk radio. They make a living doing exactly what you just described.
  9. I can't imagine that there is much interest in the press secretary position. Who would want to try to defend and explain all of Trump's decisions to the press?
  10. I switched from North Texas to Army due to the Army-Navy game.
  11. I think most people acknowledge that Hillary was a terrible candidate. However, that doesn't excuse the interference by Russia and the FBI. Imagine if the roles were reversed and Russia and the FBI helped Clinton win. Do you think that Trump and his supporters would accept that result since he was also a terrible candidate?
  12. OMG, what nonsense. It's more rational than fearing "radical Islam", isn't it? I mean, how often do you come into contact with the police as opposed to ISIS members? How many people of color have been wrongfully killed by police as opposed to how many people have been killed by Islamic terrorists in the past 30 years? Here is some advice, comply don't die. If people of color are that afraid of police then why do they 1) do so many things that put them in contact with police and 2) when they do have contact, why do they force the police to become the judge, jury, and executioner? I suggest that you read about DWB and stop-and-frisk if you truly believe that there is no racial bias in police departments.
  13. I'm not sure what he is trying to accomplish with these types of tweets. His shots at the NY Times have been a boon for them.
  14. You have to recognize where you're coming from here. For you, the right answer is for Democrats to move to the right. That would be like suggesting conservatives have to stop being conservative the next time they lose a election. Moving to the left may be the right answer. Voters did not think in policy terms, on the whole. And as far as I'm concerned, accommodating the reactionary illiberal wave is not. Similarly, the "problem" with the Republicans is not that they are too conservative. (Establishment guys, *perhaps*). Whatever this is they have going on right now can't be described as conservative. Trump's politics can't totally be described as fringe politics, although he has appeal to fringe groups. I think talking about this in terms of left vs right does not apply to Trump and what happened in this election. I predicted back in May when it was decided it would be Trump vs Hillary that this was going to come down to an insider vs outsider and those nationalism vs globalism. Despite all of his warts, Trump represented change, and that is what voters wanted in this election. For the Democrats to be successful, they have to come back to finding policies that help average working families, and that seek to help Americans first (not illegal immigrants, Syrian refugees, or others around the world). They have to realize that big-government solutions such as Obamacare and other regulations are hurting many businesses, and when businesses are hurting, it trickles down to individual citizens. They cannot continue to demonize so many groups, including businesses, police officers, and the little guys in flyover country. By re-electing Nancy Pelosi to be their leader in the House, they are simply choosing more of the same, when they had the right guy that would have been a better messenger to address the aforementioned gaps I just referenced in Tim Ryan. I honestly don't think the left understands why they lost this election yet, and if you can't identify the root cause to a problem, you are not going to come up with the right solution to fix it. Maybe by 2018 they will have figured something out. If it weren't for the Comey letter, someone would be writing a similar post from a completely different perspective on what Republicans need to do differently. Obama's approval ratings and the 2012 election show that the Democrats can be successful with their current approach. Their issue this election was their candidate.

  16. In his defense, his final model gave her a 71.4% chance of winning which was significantly less than almost all other models out there.
  17. We will see what happens in the playoffs. If Bama blows out both of their opponents then a case could be made that they are the best ever.
  18. I actually forgot to submit for the previous week and took Philly in the MNF game and got it wrong so you won Dude. Congrats
  19. Safeties played well this year, I'd like to see Banker continue there. I guess all that really matters for the next few months is that he appears to be an ace recruiter.. He has worked with linebackers in the past, too. I could see Bray getting an upgrade.... (co-DC, or STC) I could see Bray being promoted to STC and Banker helping out with LBs.
  20. I never understood the "coastal elite" criticism. Is Trump not a coastal elite? And why are midwestern/southern elites better than coastal elites?
  21. That is incorrect. All votes are counted: Link
