  1. Right now, only about a dozen states matter in the election. Candidates currently have zero incentive to campaign or consider legislation tailored to any of the other states. If you define middle America as the Midwest, it currently represents 21.1% of the population which is more than the northeast at 17.5% [source]. A candidate would be facing a very uphill battle if they attempted to completely write off the Midwest in an election based on the popular vote. If we want a democracy based on the principle of one person, one vote then the Electoral College needs to go. Based on 538's Voter Power Index a person's vote in New Mexico is over 48 times more powerful than mine. A person's vote should have the same chance of altering the outcome of the election regardless of what state they live in.
  2. Great picks by Trump. Priebus deserves a medal for managing the RNC during both the wild and crazy primary season as well as this general election. He could have sabotaged Trump's chances of winning the nomination just as DWS did on the Democratic side, but he listened to the will of the people and now is being rewarded for his efforts. Explain how Bannon is a great pick. Bannon doesn't think I'm as good as you are. Because I don't have a penis or testicles. I can't believe how much people write off a person's words. A person's words show what/who they will and will not fight for. Many in Obama's current cabinet are pro-secular That's a bad thing?
  3. Yeah, I pity people like Judge Curiel, Megyn Kelly, Alicia Machado, Mika Brezinski, the Khan family, the Central Park Five, and The Apprentice contestants. It must be a real smack in the face to see your victimizer elected President.
  4. Yeah, they finally got off their ass because for once in their life they lost a contest and didn't even get a participation trophy; and they can't handle it. They didn't want a "participation trophy", they wanted a President that doesn't degrade women and minorities.
  5. I think it's Michelle Obamas if she wants it.
  6. They need to just eliminate the electoral college altogether and go by the popular vote. It is ridiculous that the candidate with the most votes could lose the election due to where their votes are concentrated or due to a faithless elector. I think going this route would put the Republicans at a disadvantage. Their voters are less concentrated so reaching them (in person) would be more difficult. They already have that disadvantage in swing states and there are plenty of large cities with enough Republicans to fill up a venue.

  8. rather generous I think it's more likely that Trump exceeds that electoral vote total than Hillary but I see this as the most plausible outcome based on what I've seen from the polls and early voting.
  9. The rumor is dropping the n word, multiple times. I think that would be gaping hole in the boat, for sure. Where are you seeing these rumors?
  10. No, but it does make the loss a little less insufferable
  11. Northwestern isn't awful. Western Michigan was not a bad loss for them as they are undefeated and probably going to make a New Year's Six bowl game if Boise stumbles. The Illinois State game was bad but I don't think you can completely write off a team based on one loss.
