  1. We already have proof this is false:
  2. Paint my picture. I voted for Trump. I am for the Immigration Reform/Wall I am for Business Tax Reform I am for imposing taxes on goods from US companies shipping their facilities/workers overseas I am for repeal/replace of ObamaCare I am for Infrastructure big spending I am for strengthening the Military I am not for oppression of US citizens I am not for censure of press I am not for kicking out legal immigrants Am I afraid that we are going to become Nazi America? No. Am I afraid that by promoting America First that we will weaken our stature globally? No. What do you see? Someone that should be called out on a message board for hoping that the above things come to fruition? Someone who should cower in fear based on the rabble rabble talk of doom and gloom? Edit: Or do you just see a f'ing moron Trump voter? I understand why you and others are attracted to some of his policies. I disagree with most of them but I can at least understand where you are coming from. What I struggle to understand is how his character flaws aren't a deal breaker. For me, it's been evident since the beginning that he is an immature, narcissist that constantly flip-flops on his stances. Add on his bigotry, corruption, and inexperience and I find it difficult to see how someone could believe that he is fit to be the leader of the free world.
  3. Exactly. If you regret voting for a candidate you should acknowledge that you made a mistake, learn from it, and move on. What I'm more concerned about are Trump voters that have major misgivings about what he is doing but continue to support him/defend their vote because they are unwilling to admit that they made a mistake.
  4. They'll probably get more attention now that they are deleted due to the Streisand Effect.

  6. Not quite. Riley was still a player at Bama when Diaco was born.
  7. He's also the guy that went after a gold star family and a former POW. I find it mind-boggling that so many veterans and active service members voted for him.
  8. Equally likely is they use the possibility of impeachment to force Trump to do what they want. As long as Trump doesn't rock the establishment Republican boat, there's no reason to impeach him. I could also see them waiting till the opportune time to give Pence his best chance in the 2020 election. Long enough that Trump will take the fall for most of the controversial executive orders/bills they implement but soon enough that Pence has time to win over Trump's core supporters and some moderates with his Presidency.
  9. Quite ironic for a Trump supporter to say. I do not consider myself a Trump supporter. I consider myself a conservative who was forced to vote for Trump after the sh#t fest that was the primaries. Edit: my first paragraph was horribly written so I got rid of the damn thing. I hope what I left gets my question across... Why I decided to vote for Hillary: Like Kasich, she would respect and uphold the Iran Nuclear Agreement. More than likely making the world a little safer. Like Kasich, she would openly respect and defend the "law of the land" in Marriage Equality. Not putting good, hard-working families in disarray. Like Kasich, her main goal wasn't to create chaos in the health markets. They wanted change, but "thought out" change and work to make the system better. Like Kasich, she wanted to maintain a strong stance on the global stage. America is the most influential nation on the planet, use it to our advantage. Like Kasich, she seemed mentally stable. (list list isn't all-inclusive of my reasoning, but hopefully shows enough of my though process) That said, I'm curious why you felt the need, "as a conservative", to vote for Trump? She has broken numerous laws and is just overall corrupt. I did not want that in office. Do you feel the same way about Trump?
  10. He didn't lie. He gave "alternative facts."
  11. I understand and respect not agreeing with some of the things being supported or protested but I want to focus on that very first statement- a huge opposition to protesting. Do you acknowledge the difference between a peaceful protest and a violent destructive one? I'm just curious if you are opposed to all protests, of any nature, or if it's just the ones that tend towards property destruction and violence. The right to peaceful assembly is one of the pillars of our democracy IMO. That is why I typically take a hard line against groups and people that turn them into non peaceful events. While I disagree with protests of all forms, Martin Luther King Jr. Day was Monday...
  12. Which is? Their candidate lost, get over it. It's not about a lost election. Get a clue. So clue me in please. Nah. You can easily do that yourself if you make any attempt at it. I'll help him out.
  13. Smugness can go either way. In other political forums I've visited, the smugness of some of the conservative members completely drives away anyone with moderate to liberal views.
  14. I never thought about it before but Trump could be our first atheist president.
  15. This is where we have a slight difference of opinion. IMO it would have taken much more than this for Russia's actions to have a deciding affect on the outcome. Like I said, I could be wrong but, I don't think, with these candidates, there were too many voters on the fence subject to being swayed by this. I saw 4 pretty darn strong camps heading into the election; 1-Those that would never vote for either (me and some others here), 2-those that would never vote for Trump (you and some others here), 3- those that would never vote for Hillary (a few hereabouts) and 4- the large number of people who usually don't vote or were so disenchanted with the choice that they weren't going to bother to vote. Obviously there were some that were undecided and this could have influenced their vote. I just feel that had to be an extremely small handful of people. In that regard, the outcome is still our fault and our problem. We have to get better candidates and reduce the partisan rancor or we'll see more and more crap like this. It took less than 1% of voters to tip the election in Trump's favor in the deciding swing states. I find it hard not to believe that Russia did not tip the election with how close the election was and how much press Wikileaks received. I think there were a fair amount of people in the 4th group you listed that would have voted for Hillary if not for the negative coverage she received due to the leaks.
  16. I think it will ultimately be beneficial to his legacy. He has been heavily criticized for his treatment of whistleblowers. This one small act will do quite a bit to counter that narrative.
  17. He commuted her sentence rather than giving her a pardon and she has already spent 7 years in prison. What she did was wrong and put people at risk but I don't believe 35 years is an appropriate sentence for her crime.
  18. The team will likely use the score as a motivational tool but not one freshman's tweet from over half a year ago.
  19. He also has experience coaching special teams.
  20. I doubt we hire another LB coach as it is Diaco's area of expertise. He helped coach LBs while DC at Notre Dame.
  21. That seems to be the general consensus of most people outside of this board.
  22. So, in other words, expect a lot of bitching and moaning about the hire. Yes...lol. There is no apparent slam dunk hire that is realistic for us to get I'm sure there would be b!tching even if Jesus agreed to be our volunteer defensive coordinator. All praise be to Allah!! J/k. Im a christian, but Jesus doesnt have the experience or pedigree i'd like so i would pass. He'd be excellent at defending against the Hail Mary though.
  23. Think of every championship level defense you can. How many of them have a bend but don't break philosophy? The Patriots have won four Super Bowls using it and appear to have a good shot at winning a fifth this year. They currently have the number one scoring defense but are eighth in yards per game. The Cowboys, who are the second favorites, are fifth in scoring defense but fourteenth in yards per game this year. I'm not suggesting that the bend don't break philosophy is superior to other defensive philosophies or that yards per game isn't a useful metric. I'm arguing that bend don't break defenses can be successful and that the strategy needs to be considered when examining yards per game.
