I am going to be watching how Almeida matches up with KSU's quicker bigs. I really think Almeida is a difference maker, hoping he is getting into shape. I can't remember being this excited for a 8'clock Wednesday hoops game.

I think it is safe to say the Big12 is getting 6 teams into the tournament. The leagues RPI is 3rd. That puts NU, KSU, CU, and Baylor fighting for 2 spots. NU, KSU, and Baylor are 6-6 with CU at 5-7. NU has vs KSU, @ISU, vs MU, @CU KSU has @NU, vs MU, @TX, vs ISU Baylor has @MU, vs A&M, @OSU, vs TX CU has @TT, vs TX, @ISU, vs NU NU's schedule isn't terrible. The KSU game is big. This is exciting.

I was listening to Jon Nyuata, sure I spelled that wrong, on 1620 the other day. He talked about the media's appetite for NU football year round. Bo dosen't care for it and isn't going to deal with it when his job dosen't require it. I have no problem with this approach. How many pressers should Bo do in the off-season? Spring ball starts in less than a month and all these boobs can write down every thing Bo and his new staff say for 2 weeks. Is that not enough to justify your donation? If not give your money to Iowa State, they will give endless Paul Rhodes pressers for your $$$.

According to Rivals he is being recruited by Ted Gilmore. I don't think that is a good sign.

I have a few points I would like to make. I don't think a NU hockey program would kill UNO. I think they could both have successfull programs. The recruits would come to a successfull program. Lincoln and Omaha are different markets with little fan crossover besides football. I could see it as Creighton NU in both basketball and baseball. This rink is not being built for a hockey program. It only holds 1500. Could a hockey program practice there and play games at Pershing? I don't know, possible. Hockey is coming to the Big10. You don't have to be a genius to see the Big10 network driving this to happen. PennST will make 6, who else will join? A lot is going to happen in the next 4 years.

I dont think the response is of opposition to NU hockey, just doubt. Hockey costs a lot of money, and NU seems to have quite a few projects going on right now. It seems the Big10 is going to get this together and the Big10 network should make the Big10 one of the best hockey leagues. Not sure when NU gets involved if ever. It will be interesting to watch this develop.

The resumes are not too impressive. I am glad Bo has his guys. Time for Bo to sink or swim with his staff, golf coach included.

I'm pretty damn underwhelmed with how things appear to be going down. What did you expect? Did we expect Bo to hand the offense over to someone he didn't know or trust? I wouldn't do that if it was my job on the line. Did we expect a proven offensive coach to come to NU as co-OC without play-calling duties? I wouldn't come to an unproven offense for that position, it is just a fancy title. This is about what I was hoping for. Tim Beck deserves this opportunity and I am excited to see what he can do.

The only reason for the speculation on Garrison is Sipple barfed his name out there. He is a young guy, would work hard on the recruiting trail. If Beck wants him, Beck should get him. I think that is what it will come down to.

Everyone seems to be thinking about Frost coming to NU as WR coach, possibly co-OC. I don't see why NU wouldn't offer QB coach. Frost becoming QB coach would be a step up from his responsibilities at UO, and the position seems open. Is Beck already promoted to QB coach?

HB had a pretty good lag when Todd Peat was announcing, but it didn't go down. The rest of the day was good. I would like to thank all the people on the board who kept me up to date not only on signing day but all year long. This is the first place I go for my recruiting info and you all do a great job.

To quickly defend Bo, we don't really know the reasons Sanders was let go. I will wait until then to make my judgements.

I agree there is something to be gained by playing in Texas, but it would suck to play any of the above mentioned quality OOC opponents in Jerry's World as opposed to seeing them play in Lincoln. A 9 game conference schedule is going to change things in OOC scheduling.
