  1. For his coaching abilities, yes. It's not like anyone knew he was a wife beater. He sucked at that too, but many won't realize until September. No he didn't. And just because a new coach may be better, doesn't mean the last one sucked.Fairly consistent theme so far this Spring.....leadership and depth on D line is strong. Given how unproductive they have been for quite sometime now you can make whatever assumptions you want. I obviously have.

  3. Half of Huskerboard wanted to keep this D Bag.
  4. It's easy to have a statistically good pass defense when You allow hundreds of rushing yardsWhat people should be excited about is the DB play with no pass rush. They get any kind of pressure and this D will be fine.
  5. I still struggle why people let stats fool them into thinking Bo had a strong pass defense. Teams didn't have to pass, but they certainly could if they wanted to.
  6. did Cockrell or Kalu play last season?Kalu is like a lot of players in the Pelini era. Comes in makes some plays and a mistake or two and you never see him again. This kid covers a ton of field. He is small but he looks like he isn't afraid of a collision. He reminds me of Hagg/Gomes. I was impressed with the undersized true freshman. i looked up their bios, they both played some last year.........good deal. You watch much Husker football? They both got Blackshirts last year.

  8. Banker seems like that friendly neighbor that we all have. I like what I've seen so far. I hope that translates to wins, but it is definitely a change.
  9. Back up QBs should get their own folder on message boards. Stanton was the guy in December. Bush is the guy now. Fyfe will put up 200 and a couple TDs in the spring game and guess what...??? TA will start against BYU. At the first sign of a struggle, then the board thinks #2 will become JT Barrett or Cardale Jones. Not going to happen.
  10. Not a splash. Still waiting for Frost.
  11. Not a splash hire. Was hoping Riley would step up and get Frost. I'm still not sure about this Riley guy.
  12. It's pretty simple - RB knows that Bo respects him and will allow him to devote a certain amount of energy to his ministry outside of football and won't get in the way or demand that he cool it down. At it's simplest level he's using Bo for his own goals - doesn't mean he has to like or respect him. and you know this for a fact?He pretty much said as much in his interview with Sharp and Benning a few months ago after Bo hired him to come to YSU with him I haven't heard the interview but I remember someone referencing it. If that's the case, it casts further doubt on my perception of Brown as a good Christian. For me, a good leader is someone who stands up for their principles and adapts their beliefs as times change of new material comes to light. Seems to me that even if Bo is allowing Brown to continue his ministry, he still wouldn't be someone who turns a blind eye to someone calling a final team meeting berate the administration. Disrespect is disrespect in any language and calling someone a cunthursday is disrespectful. If Brown made the calculated decision to follow that mouth breather because it allows him to devote energy to his ministry, it only makes me question his principles even more. What is a good Christian? Let's not forgot a football coach is a job. The guy has a job to do. Good Christian.....give me a break.
  13. This is exactly the way I see it. I would see Mark Bo's team dropping this one. If they clean up the D and put some speed on the field, I think it's close for a half or so before the Huskers start pulling away. I think the O will put up enough points to win. There is no question we have better athletes, but will the culture change be rolling by then?
  14. Given that fact that is a huge part of marketing (husker vision, throwing bones, apparel) I'd say no. Need to get rid of the handing them out at halftime of the fourth game. They are not orange slices. Stop pulling them because you suck at coaching(shouldn't ne an issue anymore). I'd also try to limit it to 13-14.
  15. I'm convinced it's Frost until footballscoop says otherwise.
  16. There's no such thing as a team with 5 QBs that can play. What tOSU did with 3 is still amazing.
  17. i know there is a lot of talk about Burtch in another thread, but I always thought he could be someone to bulk up to 220-230 and play TE. With the emergence of Niles Paul, I just thought it made sense.
  18. Can't see Foltz and Gangwish not getting schollied again. The other 3 are iffy. Reilly has been hurt a lot, Burtch is steady but not sure scholly worthy, and still not sure how Fyfe ever got to 2nd string.Burch was looking to becoming a major contributor when he tore his ACL. He is a big kid with good speed.I saw Fyfe play in high school several times. I don't believe he has looked very good in mop up duty but I believe he is a very capable back up.
  19. Easily the best message board on the interwebs....thanks gentlemen.
