Smith, 6-2, 210 I'm pretty comfortable with our 4-2-5 base defense against the run. These measurements are from the depth chart listed on Husker.com, so maybe some of the figures may be exaggerated a little bit I'm not worried about being undersized as a team on defense because I'm pretty confident that the Pelini Bros can gameplan our defense to utilize our speed and playmaking ability to come up with some stops. I'd rather have one extra DB who can make plays against the pass or run rather than an inexperienced LB when the game is on the line.
  2. We'll be fine if we just keep on winning. The polls will take care of themselves.
  3. I think somebody has a man crush on Cosgrove..
  4. All negatives aside, how awesome is it to watch Martinez run that zone read option? That's a thing of beauty.
  5. Yeah, wow. Can't believe that game.
  6. Hahhaaha man, that video never gets old. I ALWAYS send that to all of my friends on facebook that are from K-State during the game week. They appreciate it
  7. East Stadium student section baby. I'll be there to cheer on both my Huskers and my pal Enderle (not to get hurt )
  8. Ah, dang it. Couldn't have been easier
  9. How in the world do we jump Oregon in this situation? I can fathom us jumping Florida in the AP Poll because they've been high on us since the beginning, but, wow. We both play terrible teams and they win 72-0, quite better than our score. Can anybody explain that?
  10. It doesn't help the clock control when we can score in less than a minute, it seems.
  11. No kidding. What is going on? Whoever is watching this on TV, how do they look? Defense looks fast, but then again, we're playing Western Kentucky--and I'm not aware of any blazers on that team. We're just physically much bigger than they are at every position, especially on the lines and it shows. We have at least one guy make a move and get through the line on every play. I think that we might be playing too aggressive on defense, just over-running some things and not playing as fundamentally sound as I think that we could. Gomes got lucky on one play where he got caught looking in the backfield and the QB threw it right over him. I realize that there were two penalties on the play and Gomes ended up breaking up the pass in the WR's hands, but there is still room for improvement--I'm sure that's what we'll hear from Pelini in the post-game, too.
  12. Just heard that, too. Hope the kid produces tonight. He definitely has the potential and skill set to succeed.
  13. This may have been posted before, but I have a suggestion for the board. Would it be possible to view past statuses? For instance, on the Huskerboard homepage, could there be a link maybe at the bottom of the status window saying "View Past Statuses"? I know of several occasions where I've gotten on Huskerboard and have seen dialogues among the statuses about something significant somebody had posted as their status. Since it only keeps 5-10 statuses in the window it kicks that one status off, so it leaves the new visitor wondering what the heck happened. It's just a thought. I'm just spit-balling
