its so suprising to see so many educated coaches in here. If you know so much about talent and coaching, why arent you working for a D-1 team or the NFL? I can probably guess not a single person posting in here actaully has some sort of credntials to back up his/her statement..... Nothing worse than recliner-coaches.

I may go see him play this fall. His HS is only a short drive away from me.

Consider him gone. The Royals understand what he wants (10 mil bonus) and understand he is willing to walk away from MLB if he doesn’t get it. They KNEW this months ago. They would not have wasted their first round pick on someone they weren’t prepared to get. The owner has already said he knows the circumstances around Bubba; they know he is a special case and stated "we wouldn’t have drafted him so high if we were not confident we could sign him". Sucks it didn’t work out for us, but it’s great for him and his family. He can always come back to NU and play QB in 4-5 years (which may be the best for us in the long run, seeing as he would be matured both physically and mentally, and doesn’t have to worry about money/NFL at that point).

Give the dude a break. He was a rabbid fan that wanted to meet AG and give him a hat (that he got for free and from the looks of it, couldnt be sold for $5). Not every fan reads NCAA rulebooks or UNL websites. In contrast, the players must read the rulebooks and AG should have known to not accept it.

Paraphrased.... I am a huge husker fan in San Antonio. A friend of mine was cleaning out an apartment and the old tenants left a trunk of husker stuff; in there was a hat and a bunch of other stuff (see pic). Later, I noticed that Aaron Green was going to announce his school at a church that was down the road from me; I thought this was pretty cool. So the day of the announcement I decided I wasnt going to go, but god told me too so I did. I grabbed the old hat and headed out. I got there a bit late and Aaron had already left. I asked a guy at the church to give Aaron the hat; he said to give it to the preacher. I gave it to the preacher and I prayed for Aaron with him. I left and didnt think anything about it untill I read the article. Then End.

any update on this kid? Cant see why we havent shown him more interest. Some are saying he is leaning toards Iowa because they already offered. I understand Bo wanted to make sure he is OK, but we might lose a good player by being too safe.

If I find tickets out of the end zone or the upper deck for less than $200 (for a decent game - not South Dakota State), I pay it. But, I only go to 1-2 games a year. Is it worth it? Depends on who you ask. For me? Yep, I enjoy the atmosphere. I watch hundreds of games on my TV every season, but there is nothing like being there. I keep all my tickets and put it in a frame on a wall with a picture. I plan to fill my wall by the time I die. Money is just paper, but the memories will be with me until I leave this world.
