Just flat out wrong. There is no truth in what you said and never has been. Harbaugh and Meyer. Both of those teams had top 5 and top 10 recruiting classes in recent years before those coaches arrived. Not relevant. We are 3-6 Ranked 65th in the nation. Quite a ways below our recruiting rankings. Smart as a whip. Doesn't make your comparison good.

People making a million dollars a year aren't required to live in an extravagant home.

The landscape hasn't changed that much in 15, 20 years, let alone since '08, when the "crack recruiter" callahan left Bo with a 2-deep that included 10+ walkons. NU recruiting is the same and will remain the same barring cheating. The key to success at Nebraska is figuring how to win with THIS level of talent, because THIS level of talent is on par with almost all of the team's NU has fielded. Chasing recruiting championships is a pipedream. It's changed a sh#t ton in 20 years. But not in 10 years.

The BTN's job is to get viewers and make those viewers want to keep watching. Building up the bottom 10 teams as far as number of fans isn't important to them. It's the teams with the most fans that they most need to please. So saying Nebraska is more talented than all of those teams doesn't necessarily mean they really think that. There are confounding variables. So no, the argument is not put to bed. It doesn't mean they are not more talented, either. Comparing the number of walk ons on a team in the 70s or 90s to our current team and saying it's a relevant comparison is idiotic. Players go where the scholarships are. The population of talented walk ons is much smaller now than it was 20 years ago.

There's nothing wrong with him coming now or any other time that he wants to go to a Nebraska game. Being annoyed at the coach/A.D./Chancellor doesn't mean that every damn little thing they do is terrible. I assumed you meant when did a big time coach from another program come to a Nebraska game before. It's wrong for a boss to do this.....that's all. Beside the fact I never heard of another AD doing this anywhere. Not good management. No, it's not wrong, and there's nothing negative about it. It's not a bad reflection on anyone involved.

Echoing what others have said, I don't give a crap what changes they make other than the win-loss record. Unless of course they start murdering people to improve the win-loss record. Then I'll revisit the question.

I think most people think Nebraska isn't as bad as their 3-6 record. Furthermore, MSU has struggled in quite a few games that a top ten team should win easily. They're not convincing, just like Iowa isn't.
