  1. Haha. That one cracks me up. I think my favorite one was from a year or two ago. They were talking about how diverse and global UNL is, so they showed the stadium and then right when they mentioned the word "global" (or something similar) the camera moved all the way to... western Nebraska.
  2. while my keytar gently beeps
  3. I don't see it either. A rush of zero yards is less often a stupid mistake, so it doesn't feel like a turnover. A rush for zero yards might be a few mistakes on the O-line or the runner's parts, but it could also be the other team just played well. When the ball touches a receiver's hands and they drop it, often times it's an idiot mistake by the receiver rather than the other team outplaying the offense. It almost always seems like a drive killer when there's a dropped ball (especially when we rarely pass it and we'd caught the defense off guard) and it doesn't seem that way with a short rush, but that's just my feeling on it. Even psychologically a dropped ball seems a lot worse than a 0 yard rush. If the people watching are gasping and can't believe what just happened, the players aren't immune either.
  4. FWIW 2008: 28 TO 2009: 23 TO 2010: 24 TO 2011: 19 TO Sometimes dropped passes feel like turnovers though.
  5. Why even bother mentioning something if it's not possible? Maybe you weren't being literal, but the lowest amount of turnovers in a single year the past 5 years for a single team was 9. We don't have to have 0 turnovers to go 10-2. Having a positive margin would be make that possible. (Last year we were -1)
  6. "0 replies makes me wonder about you guys!!!!!!!!" looked like it to me, but I may have read too far into it.
  7. That's perfectly fine. I just don't think you need to guilt trip people and question how charitable we are while you're bumping the topic.
  8. *replies, because all I care about is whether you think I'm a terrible person (even though I can click the link and donate without saying anything if I so desire)*
  9. I don't get it either, especially with Martin. My favorite was on a different topic where someone said he'd be starting if he played for Alabama.
  10. I love how anyone who thinks Martinez is good or defends him is "riding his jock"
  11. Sometimes people boggle my mind. You gonna explain this comment or are you just gonna go on being pretentious? I don't see you offering any opinion... I was too dumbfounded at the time to reply to the actual topic question. I'm fine with people not thinking Martinez is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but to say it's sad that he's the 2nd best player implies that the team sucks or that he does or both, when he's actually a damn good player and it doesn't diminish the rest of the team at all to say he's the 2nd best. And to be concerned about getting laughed at by picking him as one of the best players on the team is also silly. While I did quote you, I meant the bashing of him overall in more threads than just this one. Finally, I wasn't being pretentious. I thought it was obvious what I was saying when I put the two quotes together.
  12. No. Just absolutely no. College sports are not supposed to be about the money, and if something like that happened there would be no women's sports at all. If you want that then go back to the 1950s. That being said, as a female, I want there to be Hockey and Title IX can be annoying. There should be something in place to make things equal, but maybe there could be more leverage. (i.e. it makes me sad that we have women's soccer but not men's)
  13. I know it's May, but if nothing about last season gave you that impression, then you probably shouldn't get that impression from what Green said either.

    35-1

They'll start top 5 for at least the first few weeks of the season.... I hope that's just sarcasm. Why would it be sarcasm? USC is #1 in one of the pre-season polls. But perhaps you thought he meant Nebraska.
  15. Well, you know how the Youtube links have those long "numbers" ? I sit at home all day and try every combination :sarcasm :sarcasm :sarcasm :sarcasm :sarcasm :sarcasm :sarcasm :sarcasm :sarcasm:sarcasm:sarcasm:sarcasm :sarcasm
  16. You could use a very simple spreadsheet... That's not any improvement over what I do now... Anyhow, thanks for using this newfangled spreadsheet word. I had to look it up and it looks very intriguing. I will see if it works with Windows '95.
  17. I would love it. I would love being able to see in minute detail how much I'd improved since the last time, and if there isn't a trainer there for each individual athlete for each lift 24/7, then this works well that way. (Obviously some lifts always need a spotter, but not all). The player doesn't have to keep track of how much they lifted last time because it would all be right there. I don't think it would take much more time than having the trainer look up what they did on that lift three days previously. They would also have to find out from the trainer which lifts they need to do. So this might even take less time than it used to. And even if the signing in is annoying, all of the fun details you'd get to look at would easily make up for it. I wish I had access to it myself. I hate trying to remember what I lifted last time or how many miles I rode. In fact... thousands of people sign up for websites just so they can log stuff like this and that probably takes a lot more time than the gadget shown in the video and it's far crappier quality. I think they just started using it in January. Also... I realize these are excuses, but we didn't exactly have a huge group of talented players graduating, and just off-hand I'm thinking of Marcel Jones who has/had back trouble (he's one that I remember who had a really bad bench press), Lavonte who is small for his position, and Crick who had a lingering injury. I don't remember how well Dennard did. *shrug*
  18. Does not compute. I don't recall the university ever claiming that tuition was being raised to support the athletic department, so the two have no relation.
  19. Man you are intolerant, I went 31 seconds. maybe i should have put a No you shouldn't have. It was obvious. I hate that icon. There's no point in being sarcastic if you have to put an image there to tell everyone.
  20. ?? ditto that. Texas fans aren't as obsessed with Nebraska as Nebraska fans seem to be with Texas. Furthermore... it's a completely different team. It'd be like us saying that we don't want recruits from Texas because we dislike one of the state's teams.
  21. I actually watched most of the '97 Missouri game on there a few days ago
  22. It was no more like two years ago
