Stop being a Republican and change to independent?

I wonder what makes people be this stupid. Trump's got something like 75% approval by Republicans. Orban is a dictator and he says he wants to be like him. Anyone who thinks a Republican dictatorship would be good for them because they're Republican, hasn't paid any attention to history. If their situation gets bad for whatever reason, and they complain about it, they'll just be RINOs which are worse than Democrats. And they will complain 5-10 years down the line when things have gotten worse for them than they are now.

Even the former Soviet countries still have a lot of issues. E.g. if you want to get a driver’s license in Ukraine (based on pre-war knowledge) in any amount of decent time, you bribe someone, and then you don’t even have to pass the test. Or if you want your passport interview fast tracked you bribe them for that. There is a lot of corruption like that even in the local government, which is why I’m never surprised to see Zelensky firing people or having them arrested for stealing war funds. They had that form of government too long and still haven’t completely changed the mindset.

This would be a bad time to not approve more funding.

I think my biggest concern, assuming we have decent QB play now, is end of game management. I felt that was pretty bad at times, even though we had a lot of practice at it. But one thing that fixes/hides that is scoring more points and being in fewer one score games.

There's too much going on here visually and not enough going on informationally. I think it'd be better if they did it by conference, and showed a green line for entries and a red line for exits. It wouldn't be as hard to follow since there are only 9/10 conferences.

I'm a bandwagon fan, I can't handle disappointment with more than 1 team so it's either basketball or football. Why is it that Mast travels every time I start watching? Does he do that a lot? Seems like a rare thing that gets called but maybe that's just in the NBA.

I think he has at least a 25% chance of it if he’s elected. It’s crazy to not think it’s a legitimate possibility. You’ve got blinders on if you don’t think it is. I don’t understand why you think you need the comment about having a beer. Nobody saying this is doing it to try to impress anyone. They are just people paying a minimum amount of attention.

Groupthink is scary. Nobody should revere a political party.

This is a pretty good summary and reflects my thoughts. I’d rather not have the fear of a dictatorship, but the insanity increases the chances of them losing elections.

I think Trump gaining voters is far less relevant than Biden bleeding voters. These people probably won’t vote for Trump, but they won’t vote for Biden either. E.g. people who thought Biden would be able to get their loans forgiven, 18 year olds who are sad about Gaza but not about Israel, etc.

I don't understand your logic in thinking Ryan Day would win 4 NC out of 5. His player talent would only increase minimally. OSU typically recruits in the top 5 and he hasn't done it yet. It's possible he'd do slightly better at Alabama, but I don't think slightly better would mean winning the NC almost every year.

This presidential immunity thing could make or break this country. If a president can’t be prosecuted for actions they took while president, they have nothing to fear while they attempt to stay in power.

I don't really know who I want to win. I don't hate either team. This is so much better than having to figure out who I want to win between Alabama and Texas. Maybe 51% Michigan 49% Washington. But I hated the idea of Michigan blowing them out. I want it to be a 1 score game.
