If he stays projected as a top 10 pick, even the most dedicated Husker fan would have to feel like he'd be an idiot to stick around. I hope he would go if that's the case, for his sake.

I finally watched it last night. Damn it if I didn't cry at the end.

LOL - guess the DVR question got answered!

Same thing happened to me - just reset the DVR for 8PM tomorrow (Monday) night. It's playing again a few time starting then.

I travel. A lot (100+ night / year in a hotel most years). For years, I'd go meet clients or co-workers who work elsewhere from me and within the first hour of our meeting / conversation / et al the Huskers would come up. Something like: You guys have a great football team or Nebraskan's sure love their Huskers or You think you guys will win it all this year? Stuff like that... Then - it all stopped - on a dime. Sometime years ago, probably after Callahan's first year. And I mean it stopped completely. For years, no one has asked me about the Huskers or the football season or anything of the like...UNLESS I would be in MKE, Wisc. Then they'd rub it in, but even that's only been the last few years since we joined the B1G. Anyway, long story short: A trip to San Diego this week (a town that REALLY doesn't give two sh!ts about CFB), I had 3 different people ask about the team! One guy wanted to talk about how much we've improved. Another wanted to talk about the Fresno St game and if I went. Another wanted to talk about the 'big game' this week. Wearing my blackshirts hat in the airport sparked a few good convos as well. Honestly, I'm shocked. It's an astonishing event to me, because it signals some real change in our national perception. I personally have had no better way to litmus test the way folks think about our program other than conversation on the road. I know it means nothing to the results on the field this year, I know it means even less for the results to this coming game. It might have a recruiting benefit, but I'm not smart enough to know that. What I do know is this: This change of events is COOL! FINALLY - I get to talk Husker football with folks not from here again, without boring them to death. Sorry for any spl grammar issues...typing quick while in the AP.

I think it would be fantastic if we could blend intimidation and class, which I think was exactly what happened last night. From the crowd, from the coach, from the team, et al. That was an incredible atmosphere.

Also, that NU under Pelini seems to have figured out how not to unravel when something bad happens. Many opportunities so far this year that this could have happened. It hasn't yet. -

That AA is the best all around RB ever at NU. Not another back I would take over him out of all of em in the books. I'm dead serious. Witnessing something very, very special. -
Post if you stayed up to the end of the game

this is my first time listening to 1620's overreaction and by the sounds of em this happens often. haha - yea, the amount of nonsense that occurs on this show is plentiful and constant. The name is a perfect description of what happens. -
Something's Rotten in the State of Nebraska.
HotGrillonGrillAction replied to NUpolo8's topic in Husker Football
i thought the original post was going to be another one of polo's famous diatribe against runza. I was threatened with a ban when I took down Valentino's, Runza and Amigos for the tripe that they are. Never been a fan of any of those establishments, hate Runzas the most. Blasphemy!!!! I'll take down a crispy meat (or bean or chicken) burrito every time I see an Amigos!!! Good thing I don't live close to one. (and I'm old BTW). -

Yea man.....that's starting to drive me nuts. I just like drinking beer and cheering / screaming at the TV (or team if I'm there) and don't have the ability for extra stress outside my day to day to worry about coaching changes.....but good grief, take some responsibility. Bo, of all coaches (and as much as he says he's a players coach), I thought would never be one to toss the players under the buss. He, Paup and Beck have done this a lot the last several years when under duress. It's maddening. I, like lots of folks, am responsible for a very large number of people in a very large organization and when someone makes an honest mistake, I take the fall 100% of the time I see no reason our coaches shouldn't be doing the same. To add some context: A missed opportunity to make a play is an example of an honest mistake. Stealing bikes is not. -

Character test here for sure. -
Sorry if this has been posted already. Anyway, I know it's FAU, but he looks like Barry Sanders with these moves! Seriously. http://www.huskermax.com/games/2014/vid/01/12abdullah_hilights.html

Robin Williams-Dead at age 63
HotGrillonGrillAction replied to Minnesota_husker's topic in Big Red Lounge: Official BS Forum
Dead Poets Society was an amazing film. A hidden gem of his (*maybe for me because I watched it so much as a kid) = Popeye! He did a great job in that character and it was a musical!!! Just shows what an all around talent he was....and from all those testifying, an even better person. I lost two friends to suicide in a three week window when I was 19 years old and can't imagine what his family is going through right now. Thinking of them first and foremost and all those who are now re-living losing someone this way through all the media attention. -
Hey guys - you might know me from the Spring Game tailgates (I try to help coordinate, bring food, etc). I want to share a story with you and, if you feel up for it, I would love your support. I'll be, to my knowledge, the only local NU fan headed to Disney World on Jan 9/10 to represent our great state, in my attempt to help fight cancer. Please take a moment and read this, post comments, etc.....in the meantime, I'll be destroying my legs in the hopes my small part helps destroy Cancer. Kindest regards everyone! GBR!!!! Matt Frampton Go here to read my story and thank you for taking the time! http://pages.teamintraining.org/vtnt/wdw15/mframpton
