  1. Two key points I took away from both the Bowl game and the Spring game. They're going to be more careful with TA throwing the ball and less careful with him running the ball.Better late than never, I guess. saying and actually doing it are two different things. it's always great to say in the off season.Which is why I'm encouraged we have 2 back-to-back examples of them actually doing it. There were 11 examples of them not doing it last year back to back to back, etc. I'm very hopeful that this year will be a very big step forward and I'm excited. But I wouldn't put a lot of stock into anything said in April/May.

  3. He said Parrella actually made it harder to leave. He also chose not to answer specific questions regarding the coaching staff, so completely ragging on them is a bit of a stretch in word choice. He left because the SEC is a bigger market from all the talking heads on ESPN and he's not wrong. Now will that help him, no. He's an injury prone DT, which makes it especially hard to have any staying power in the NFL. Either way best of luck to him.
  4. This is the best option for someone who is on the "prove-it" one year contract. 3M guaranteed on a 5.5M contract in Florida, which happens to not have state income tax.
  5. So crazy it just might workOr go the Jim Harbaugh route and hire the head coach of the high school to deliver the overall #1 recruit Isn't that what swmohusker just said? If Chris Partridge is the father of Rashan Gary then sure. But since he's not, I'll stand by what I said.

  7. I'm skeptical of how you were taught. The goal of tackling is to stop the legs from moving...if you can go to the source of what propels how someone physically moves, why wouldn't you do that?
  8. Good thing we locked up the lowest rated of the package deal of butler, reese, fitzpatrick. Not saying butler isn't a good pick up, but it does make you wonder if he's highly recruited by this staff without the other two.
  9. From what I've heard from friends that have double-tested and done well on the ACT, Winter testing is always harder than Spring test. 18 would also be more than enough to get into UNL, as long as GPA is good enough. Ummmm, no. UNL requires MINIMUM of 20 to be accepted. Especially for out-of-state students. GPA doesn't mean anything to colleges. Every high school is different. You could get a 4.0 close to the top of your class at one school that has an easy curriculum....equating to getting a 2.8 and middle of the pack at another high school. GPA doesn't mean sh#t honestly. See below for the ncaa requirements based on a sliding scale for the sat/act. Each score is cumulative, so Nehemiah's score is actually a 73 when all four scores are totaled which would require his GPA to be a 2.35 to be qualified by the ncaa standards. Key word is ncaa standards, each school may have slightly different standards for acceptance. http://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/future/test-scores
  10. Saw an NFL team yesterday doing it. Can't remember which one. Baylor been doing it for a little while. U of H also. Baylor called it acting like the marching band I think. It's based off a rap lyric "ran off on the plug", see the link. http://www.sbnation.com/2016/1/1/10700450/RAN-OFF-ON-THE-PLUG-TWICE-touchdown-celebration
  11. Stupid posts like this are what bad message boards are about. Your post is pretty much the epitome of what I was saying. But I'd love to hear your insight on grade issues.
  12. Well gee I wonder who brought these players in #blame-bo-derailment "Brought to you by the guy who blames Mike Riley for everything!" Blaming the current coach for the current team's problems during the current season. Oh the horror. blaming the current coaches is fine. blaming the current players is also fine. Doing either or both every time you type a response here is obsessive. repeating the same thing 1200 times since the season started isobsessive-compulsive. So is calling people out for doing it. At the end of the day this is what a message board is.
  13. This. It's pretty genius actually. Get fans to debate the unknown rather than discuss the flop that just happened. Almost as genius as when he was first hired and got people on board when he raved about our oline depth and the 10 guys they can play without losing a step, how he's excited to incorporate a running qb into his offense, and how he will adapt his system to the strengths of the team. All of which we now know to be a lie. He's old but very clever.
  14. Did we visit him yet on the bye week? If not, then it's Clemson
  15. correction...the scout team was in press coverage. we certainly wouldn't do that.
  16. image.jpg Well...that really put the sprinkles on the sh**ty ice cream cone that was this day. just bringing perspective
  17. This x100 The fear of losing their credentials and access keep that at bay.
  18. Richt can recruit Georgia...we all could do that if we were the major university in the state. Tons of talent in their back yard, can pitch that you'll play in the subjective "best" conference in college football, and mom/dad can see you every weekend. If it wasn't for that, Richt would be terribly average.
  19. Bielema is not coming to Nebraska. He left the Big 10 so that when the Iowa job (his alma mater) became available he would be the next coach there. Strictly because it's frowned upon to change teams within the conference. Unfortunately for him, Ferentz has found some success and bought himself more time.
  20. Considering you don't fire someone after 8 games into their first season...pelini
  21. Can we agree that these jerseys would have looked decent in a night game, but at 11 am in the sunlight they looked real bad. I like the all black but the chromed look with red only works under fluorescent lights.
  22. It's a current coaching issue. If you want proof check the Bo's qb graveyard thread. Obviously there are anomalies with him for qbs but for the most part bad qbs were bad against his teams. With that being said, the secondary was ok today until the 4th.
