  1. We ain't going to the NC anyways. Just win. Period.
  2. Just had a little segment during the MSU/NU game talking about how MSU got screwed over by the two calls in our MSU game. Didn't bother to mention the call on Stafford or any PI calls. Feeling the ESPN love today.
  3. That PI call last week made up for their TD off that B.S. Stafford push and a couple questionable PI calls against us. I doubt many Husker fans feel too bad considering the 2009 and 2010 season in the big 12. Also, the fumble recovery resulted in a touchback. Touchdown or not, one could argue the rest of the game would have played out the same. 32-30 NU.
  4. Seemed like a number of "pompous" responses. Too many, "It was nice, but not that great...." comments.
  5. Why? Because we aren't ranked #10 for beating 2 crappy teams and completely underperforming against a non-ranked opponent?
  6. What?!? I thought she looked like she was forced to walk through a carwash and then given 10 seconds to reapply her makeup. Watch it again.
  7. :45 seconds in.......watch the ref. hahaha *someone beat me to it, still hilarious
  8. We gotta push some "Dixon Island" propaganda to keep him interested....
  9. He has an 11 minute reel showing him run, score and throw the football over some mountains. Kid looks legit.
  10. Pelini has invested too much time and effort into Martinez to sit him and say we found someone better. Martinez can't throw. Plain and simple, he cannot consistently throw a solid pass. When he runs, he stands upright and gets destroyed the second any D gets in front of him. When we actually get, AND PLAY, a better qb, you all will see what we have been missing. None of that matters until Pelini quits acting like a pissed-off robot all the time. "We just need to execute" is not the answer. He needs to inject some hope and confidence into his team. Our problems are more mental. Until we get that figured out, we will continue to play down to our competition's level and lose to crap teams. I think we have the players and coaches. We don't have the mental part figured out. We desperately need confidence and swagger.
  11. I know this has been said a million times, but everyone here really does need to chill out.... We are young, very very young. We are undersized, less disciplined and have less experience than a lot of the competition right now. I do believe that we have more potential than most of the competion too. Everyone knows our tackling (or love taps) are pathetic. Our receivers leave much to be desired, and Martinez is attracted to blue and yellow. But these are all things that can be fixed. Losing David and Dennard is going to be tough, but instead of calling out everyone and coming on public boards and making a list of which players suck, let's build them up and support them. I don't have a problem with a little constructive criticism, but "(player) sucks" isn't doing anything but showing everyone we have fair weather fans. We have amazing talent and we have seen some amazing plays. That zone read triple option thing we saw yesterday....hell, Hoke had no idea what he just saw, and it was run by a sophomore qb, junior rb and true freshman rb. If you can't see the potential from that play, you just can't see it period. Carl has even said he thinks we have coached the defense into robots. I agree, but at least they see it and the defense was humbled enough to hand the blackshirts back. That there shows love, dedication and heart. We weren't ranked #2 and lost to Iowa State. We weren't #5 and lose to Baylor. We sure as hell aren't Penn State or a bunch of other teams with many more losses or unfortunate events. We didn't run somebody over at a tailgate either. We are a young team, in a new conference with a GIANT target on our back and have beaten a couple really good teams that were ranked ahead of us. I think we have done much more than we should have given the circumstances. With all that said, the inconsistency is driving me insane! Young or not, beating Ohio State, Michigan State and Penn State proves to me that we are an extremely talented team. I just wish the players believed it.
  12. One of the biggest frustrations is the lack of confidence and energy in these big games. I truly believe we have top 10 talent, but some of these games are over before they start. Watching teams like LSU, Alabama, Oregon, and other more successful teams, they have swag, energy, confidence, attitude. We seem to come out in a fight or flight mode and beat ourselves. To me, this is the 1st, 2nd and 3rd issue that must be solved. I could handle these losses better if we had any of the above attributes. With that said, this is a top to bottom issue. Bo needs to get it fixed. (sorry to all the softies who can't handle any negativity on this site....)
  13. In Argentina, they use Rex Burkhead's poop as currency.
  14. Senility is a tradition at that place
  15. UNK was previously called Kearney State, served the same function... The same can't be said for that gypsy college called UNO. I know of nobody that is glad they went there.
  16. "Wow, just wow" would have been sticking with Watson. The offense under him failed at an alarming rate during the season. There are a lot of other OC's that can and/or are willing to make the necessary changes when things aren't going right. Watson couldn't or wouldn't make those changes at almost an obsessive-compulsive level. The offense, along with the rest of Husker Nation, had no absolutely no confidence in his abilities. Granted, getting Taylor Martinez to listen or make better decisions was like getting a 15 year old boy to not pleasure himself. It may not be an "improvement" but I doubt it will be more of a let down than this season.
  17. So we're going to see Starling, Martinez, and Burkhead in the I? That would throw some D's off.
  18. Seriously, do people on here get off on coming up with these rediculous threads? "So and so just got let go from BFU, would he come here? Thoughts?" There is nothing to base any of that on. It's just made up because all of a sudden someone doesn't have a job. It's the same crap over and over.....
  19. I think talent-wise Nebraska is 1 or 2 in the Big 10. We can come up with some of the most creative self-destructive plays and mistakes, I don't see us with any more than 7 or 8 wins. I hope I'm wrong. Bo MUST figure it out and get our players to play with some confidence and stop making stupid mistakes every other play. We need DISCIPLINE!!!! Finally, how did we end up with that schedule?
  20. That's the problem. Why didn't Watson or Bo use Broekmeir more often. I think we have offensive coaching issues on the line, receiving, and fixing the black hole that is Martinez. Bo needs to chill out with all the emotion and quit coaching his offense like you coach a defense. Shouting and yelling and getting all jacked up works great for linebackers......not a cocky, freshman QB. He needs to be more versitile, collected, and concentrate on fixing all the penalties and blown game-changing plays. I don't necessarily know if getting rid of Watson will fix anything until Bo understands how costly all the penalties are and how we seem to self-implode and destroy ourselves in clutch situations. That is his responsibility. The disappointing thing is that Watson obviously under-utilized Broekmeir, can't get Martinez to make any smart decisions and realize this isn't his high school team. Bo's "I don't care" attitude was great when he first came in, but we need an ambassador. We need someone who is not afraid to maybe hurt someone's feelings and say "This isn't working." We need someone who can control his emotions better. I'm not saying get rid of Bo, I'm just saying Bo needs to step it up and fix the problems. Fire Watson? Maybe. Get the Huskers to stop making so many damn mistakes and blowing games? Yes. Not one of the teams that beat us this year had to work for their win. They just had to sit back, play conservative and wait for NU to hand it over....and I think they knew it all along.
  21. I quit reading after she mentioned the kicked ball at Missouri. Besides, she's a woman, with a small brain a third the size of ours. It's science.
  22. What the? I just got lambasted on here yesterday for making a post about the EXACT same thing.....
  23. If we stick to our run game(like we have a choice) we should be fine. The coaches know what to expect from their defense and we have the enough guys to keep them from getting tired while wearing down their D. Their offense will test our D, but we are THAT good and I think we have seen enough offense from opposing teams to keep it from getting out of hand. NU 24-17
